Before Canada would allow highly skilled / educated immigrants to esteemed universities. Now we let in double the students and most of them are in diploma mills which they get out of and end up taking up every unskilled labour position, pushing thousands of Canadians to the street and making it to where kids can’t even get summer jobs. And letting in this massive increase of immigrants has only made our housing situation even worse. We’re building half the homes than people we’re allowing in. The whole thing is a sh*t show

That’s the thing…. In Canada, you don’t have to be strategic about where you move. Most places are welcoming. We still have some racism and issues, but I know many people of different colours and cultures that have never experienced racism in Canada. We allow others to practice whatever religion you want, as long as you don’t hurt other people. We don’t unalive each other over religion or politics. To a Canadian, the United States is not a first world country. It’s where you go to lose your rights and freedoms.

Brampton is Indian Punjabi majority city. India has many religions and cultures but majority in Brampton are from Punjab region of India mostly Sikh and Hindu. For last 2 years, lot of students came from India and most likely they will return to India after studies are done. This is total fault of Canadian government for allowing so many people of same ethnicity, I have no idea how their quota works. I'm an immigrant myself, came here in 1996 but honestly Canada is not what it used to be.

My friend lives in White Rock BC......On a recent visit I felt like I was in my old town of Fremint, California.....The majority of people weren't born in North America but from the same area of the globe. We went to eat @ his favorite restaurant and it had changed to Indian cusine. I don't know about Canada but, in the USA they game the government assistance systems and use the funds to import more of their relatives. I don't understand why the USA allows a foreigner even after they become a citizen to bring in their elderly parents and collect Social Security funds when they NEVER worked a day of their lives in the USA or contributed to the system. Indians leaving India in droves due to better opportunities for them, as well, the high amount of corruption with their government at all levels. This is directly from the co-workers I work with. Canada immigration is letting far too many people who shouldn’t be allowed here. Many of my Indian friends will vouch this as well. They all left Brampton to pursue other cities across Ontario. They agree, many undesirables back in India have come to our shores, with money laundering and crime. Canada literally needs an army of people to start deporting those who have lied on their documentation, add little value to our economy or country.

Brampton to Mississauga have always been heavy ethnic as that’s where all the ethnic groups were somewhat pushed to back in the day and anybody that lived in Brampton in Mississauga all these years. Many people might ask how the Liberal government issued so many study and work visas to young Indians, who don't have any particularly outstanding qualifications. It is because they allowed colleges to accept students and some of these colleges were created for the sole purpose of collecting high tuition fees, which wealthy Indians gladly paid for as it gave them a chance to live in Canada and apply for permanent residency. Trudeau (like Harper, incidentally) wanted to win Brampton and the surrounding areas so as to be able to form a government. These ridings could easily flip to Conservative, unlike others in Quebec or BC. Voters in these battleground areas were believed to be willing to vote Liberal, if they could have some representation in Ottawa, especially in cabinet. Even as a member of this diaspora, I think courting this population like this was a huge mistake. \n\nIn the post-war II period, the immigrants that came from Canada, were highly qualified, scientists, engineers, architects -- you name it, that had jobs waiting for them at universities and tech firms. If they were students, they came into Ph.D. programs fully supported with stipends. This generation helped Canada tremendously and made Canada a leader in crop science and microbiology research, just to name an example. Today, many here on student visas are working at Tim's or delivering Amazon packages, or even driving trucks without proper training.

It's not the immigration that is the problem I see here but the type of immigrants they let in. International students don't have money and although they pay more for tuition, I don't think what they're paying is enough to pay for public services. The US allows immigrants but you have to show you have money and assets besides the usual work visas and special visas. The normal US route is to show you can support yourself and you won't be a burden to the government.

Brampton was nice place to live back in the day. Now it is a shithole, infested with crime, violence and everything else. Toronto has been well upon its way there for more than a decade . I guess cultural enrichment and diversity struck again. \n\nThis what happens when a country no longer controls its borders and has no say as to who comes in and how many. Canadians are living those end results and consequences in real time. The thing is that too many of them voted for this and are too passive, apathetic or spineless to say or do anything. Which isn’t necessarily all that different from the rest of Western countries.\n\nPeople who don’t care about Canada, Canadian culture, values etc. Canada has just become a port of convenience, where people, like in this case from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc., land, and are more interested in “what can you give me”, “ what can you do for me”, no forethought of hey, maybe this is a two-way street where something is also expected from me to give back to the country and society that gave me an opportunity. If this is allowed to continue it will only get worse.

I’m a little late to this video but have a lot to say. As a Canadian of Indian descent, I have always avoided Brampton. There is a stark difference between Indians from Brampton and those of us that are from other cities. This situation is out of control mainly due to JT but also colleges that have setup feeder international schools that cater just to Indian students. I’d imagine Chinese students have something similar to this as well, they’re just more quiet. \n\nA lot of the comments come off as offensive but it is what it is, There are too many of my ethnic people here and they’re not assimilating let alone intending to do so. Chain migration is another problem as it brings in an older generation that has no desire to learn English. Crime is having a runaway effect because of the environment they come from, fights break out at intersections, parking lots, backyards, front yards, etc. This is reckless and embarrassing for all Indians, especially us Punjabis. This goes unreported because of how vindictive these people are because of whichever town/city they came from. There are also rumours that these female students are home wreckers so there’s another layer. \n\nMy solution: \n1) Stop immigration, these people are giving our entire community a bad rep when we’ve worked so hard to get to where we are in this country. Return to skills based immigration, not WEF-based. \n2) Cap the international student populations tied to the census - this opens up opportunities for international students from ALL countries and walks of life. \n3) International students cannot be allowed to work - Canadian students First, Canada First. \n4) After graduation, give students 1 year to find a job in their field of study. If they can’t find one, send them back and learn skills and then that’s their only back to Canada. \n5) if they do make it to immigration, we need a better system than just a simple memorization test - have them demonstrate their command of the English language, look at their value added and potential for the future. \n6) Conservatives need to be a part of the solution. A lot of the comments are just complaints and complaining will get these folks voting red vs voting blue each and every time. That guy commenting about no temples in Timmins will just push these people to the liberals and this is what JT is counting on. We need to show these folks what being Canadian is about so that they leave Brampton and assimilate. I’ve introduced countless folks to Pierre and have changed their outlooks, y’all need to do the same. As an indian in dont really dislike Brampton. Its just the leftist policies that ruined it. A lot of immigration isnt really legal either. The govt aint enforcing immigration law so its more or less allowed. Kinda like how usa has an open border policy with mexico. Legal immigration is next to impossible while illegal immigration is prioritized. There are far too many people getting visitor visas and never leaving thats a slap in the face of the poor working class. Or even legal immigrants that took the time money and had the qualifications to come here and did it legally.

I would like to provide a background to all the native Canadians who are wondering why the East Indian population is growing in Canada they are lot of education consultants back in India who market Canada as a lucrative country to immigrate brownie points for studying to get PR free healthcare free education till grade 12 so everyone is trying their best to come to Canada on a student visa.Once students come on a student visa they need to work 20 hours a week which they are legally allowed to work on international student visa so locals feel they are taking their jobs In US international students are only allowed to work on campus despite so many job opportunities.Colleges in Canada charge 4-5 times tuition which is profitable to the education industry and provincial government.Once these students Graduate they get open work permit where they can gain Canadian work experience and apply for PR and citizenship eventually.All this benefits the government and the educational institutions overall in terms of taxes and revenue..

The problem in one word is multiculturalism.\nThe fallacy that Canada has since the beginning, it imposed it with the now called First Nations and it has it now with the so many origines we are literally invaded now. The system today is the most racially motivated and serration motivation. \nPeople is invited to come and live in this country, without limits of respect to the existing Canadian culture, the one and only culture despise and not allowed to participate in the fallacy of multiculturalism. \nCome top Canada, bring what you want, especially your culture, with all its defects and vices. I disagree with the mass immigration under his reign: Canada’s healthcare system has been on life support for decades… inflation, tent cities and food insecurity. We need to fix our own problems before allowing immigration: “we need to put on our own O2 mask before helping others”. Stating that, since the Indian population has grown in Brampton, what’s the solution? They are already there— i know many ppl who have come to Canada and do not know the language, can only speak Italian, and Chinese… to name a few. Multi cultural is an oxymoron (impossible to exist)… multi = many and culture = one shared system. The word was made up to attract immigration under false pretences. Canada is a multi ethnic country but should never allow pressure from outside to take away its best values - Canadian Values. When you enter someones home you follow their rules.
