Many immigrant think that Canada will welcome them with a house and a good job. I have met many immigrants that they are back to their countries because they can not adapt or They do not want adapt to the Canadian way of life (which by the way it is not that difficult.) I am doing well because I get up everyday not waiting to get hand me downs or charity. I work hard. I also know many immigrants that have made Canada their new home and they are really happy. Definitely, Canada is not for everybody.

Funny how they want to blame immigration. Jobs are everywhere but employers know that immigrants are more disciplined, hard working and appreciative of the opportunities provided, when compared to the average Canadian-born citizen. I've seen it first hand. \n \nOh and, the influx of Indian immigration boosted Canada's GBP by $20 Billion, last I checked. America is a good example, Indians and Pakistanis are the most successful ethnic group, everyone else is behind. Not only that, but they have to work TWICE as hard to get HALF of what their white counterparts do. \n\nAlso, lets not forgot how unsympathetic white America was when black Americans were going through the crack epidemic. They didn't get a shred of the support that's being given out today, instead it was jail. \n\nWhite Privilege is very real and especially in countries like Canada and the United States. If white people fall through the cracks this hard en masse in a society that makes it easiest for them to succeed, then it's truly over. The decline will continue.

It does not help that most choose Toronto instead of many other major cities or smaller towns across the country. Things will only get worse unfortunately

Pains me so deeply. I work at a Hotel. Without going into detail, we house so many refugees from Sudan, Nigeria, Ukraine etc. completely for free. They are all lovely people for the most part don't mistake my meaning, but I seldom hear of such programs addressing widespread actual Canadian citzen homeless housing, nor have any of the refugees at my Hotel been Canadian citizens born and raised who were granted asylum. \n\nThe other day I had to kick out a homeless gentleman from my hotel who was sleeping in the heated stair-wells. My manager instructed me to contact the non-emergency police number and get them to escort him out and/or possibly trespass him. He was compliant, not rude and understanding and wasn't causing any property damage or bothering anyone, nor consuming drugs or anything of the sort. It pained my heart and it reminded me of the risks I may face in the future considering how fucked the housing is.\n\n100%, and I mean 100%, of the new employees we've hired in the Hotel are Indian students here on student-visas, or refugees (many Ukrainians and one African lady). And 0% of the people being housed at my Hotel are Canadian born citizens. Disgusting mess of a country with all thanks owing to J.T.

If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Leaving the resources and the people who work and volunteer for those resources to help the Canadian people (which would be the prime reason for this) Canadians first ! \n\nI would cut the Carbon Tax. Lower the Property Tax. Put a cap on all Strata fees. Lower the deficit. \n\nBuild more Hospitals and treatment centers. Put a ban on drugs and safe injections (as we know there is no such thing) \n\nMake it mandatory for those in need due to drug and mental issues (that have been diagnosed with such) to go to treatment centers (while building more centre's and hiring qualified professionals workers) to stop the crisis. \n\nChange laws on crimes and the time and penalty behind them. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. With major corporations getting fined if they don't smarten up and change the way the make and package goods. \n\nI would put a cap on Car insurance for those that have never been in an accident before and lowering the monthly cost by 10% \n\nCondo sizes would have to increase the square footages by a minimum of 10% of the national average to make sure that there is enough room and peaceful environment for those that live in those spaces. \n\nI would ban that you would have to pay additional for parking at every Rental property including lockers, that the property owners purchased during pre construction as well as lower the public parking costs nation wide in parking garages by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would Lower transit costs nation wide by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would bring back texts books and paper to schools so kids read more. Write more. Understand more. Learn more for those in grade 8 and under. \n\nI would ban every Pride event in Canada and charge people fines if they hang rainbow colored Canadian flags anywhere on any property including ban clothing with those colors on the Canadian Flags immediately. Failure to do so would also Ban same sex marriage the following year on the same date that the first ban was made if Failure to comply. \n\nI would ban any book or literature for kids that is LGQTB written. \n\n& that is just the beginning.

the west is neglecting the people born here and flooding our countries with millions of people from the third world. the US has just as insane immigration numbers as us. Both Liberals and Conservative governments play immigrants off. They allow Asians to enter without having any education and bringing in drug money into the country without any questions. 9 years ago I was in same position when i went to Indian Embassy in London to get the emergency visa. Firstly we encountered very strong smell of cold Daal and aloo gobi then after an hr after nagging them few times a lady came with her fingers liaded with turmeric stains and she was so rude and slow that we spent half the day iver there. Believe me I am not exaggerating a bit when i say i was the only one there to be served and yet few indian employees in that office were busy having tea and snacks and cracking jokes. I remained silent and in the end lady gave me 1 month's visa and literally threw my passport out of the counter. \nWell I checked it and all i said you are a very rude person and you are turning London offices into Indian Govt offices.\nIts a shame some people just dont know how they blenish the name of their own country.

If Canada have back door for international students, they should have resources for homeless-especially single homeless-to afford the rent or own apartment. For example, single Canadian should be half interest rate than partner if they have RRSP, and people if they can't afford the rental fee, gov should be paired the roommates for them to rent a place for a tempare home. And the job marketing should be do more for that, gov can give a little bit taxes benefit for they hire the people are homeless and getting help from gov in the first year. \nAnd gov should be provide more NGO to support the relationship consulting to Canadian for to know how to easy and healthy into their relationship (marriage or family). There is no open market like many countries which are backed by government to buy goods in reasonable price for low income people. Very restricted laws for driver license. Life in Canada is far from normal kills you or make you disable for life without getting you paid. Now I disabled for couple of years and I'm outside of Canada and just my family saved my life because I couldn't work because of disability due to spoof call attack which cause severe peripheral neuropathy. Even there is no any protocol for this illness to get cured and forced me to see many MDs and cost me lots of money. I am an international student, just wanted to ask Canadian people, why target international students, i am from India, i can guarantee that any Indian student coming to Canada brings at least 100k investment that directly gets used by the Canadian economy. My problem is why target us rather you guys should look for people who are coming to this country like refuse and use candian tax payer money and get all the benefits Canada offers, but us on the other hand we pay taxes like normal citizen. Just ask this question to each and everyone.

It Always surprises me through traveling every country protects its own citizens in different way , but Canadians do not we have little comradeship and are afraid of getting called racist when literally Europe and North America are the most the most open of them all. We’re too nice.stop.

It's a double edged sword. The industry (fast food, food retailing, services) WANT those people, be it international students, refugees or other to work because there is insufficient response from the local population of young people. Even certain restaurants and hotels had to remain CLOSED after the pandemic, because they could not find enough people to work. The government covid money dissuaded the local population from working. It is a huge mistake to admit so many Indian students attending low-credentialed private colleges and then allow them to work 20-30 hours a week. Trudeau and Miller are to blame for this. But at the same time, there was a labour shortage due to the ageging population and the fact that people have fewer kids today. Canada should give greater priority to trained professionals in areas where there is a need, such as construction, education and nursing. People in India, China, eastern Europe and other countries can get very good training in technical colleges, but it is the wealthy families in these countries that don't want their kids working these jobs.

So brutal. I have a 15 year old looking for her first job and all her friends ate too. Guess what.....all those jobs we used to get as we entered the workforce are gone. Every single DQ A&W grocery store McDs etc jobs go to foreigners. So where will all the high school kids work? They are becoming despondent and depressed. It's really sad. They keep saying we need people to fill all these vacant jobs. And we need all these skilled workers. The truth is that there are NO JOBS. The government is Lying. And these people coming into the country DO NOT HAVE ANY SKILLS. Many are going to school here to get an education/skills. The idea is that they return home after they finish school. But that's NOT happening. They remain here and take jobs away from Canadians. They get hired over those who are Canadian. We all know this to be true. In addition while going to school here they bring in their whole family. Now it's costing the Tax Payer to look after these people. Many are older and require Medical Treatment, drugs, surgeries, etc. Immigration does NOT stimulate the economy. It drains our finances leading to bankruptcy. We are fast being replaced and our culture is being dissolved. Just look at other countries where this has happened like Britain, Ireland, etc.

I suppose though it might appear that way to you if you were not born here to begin with and witnessed the massive change in our immigrant population over the past 30 years like us born and raised Canadians have. I am all for immigration and know how necessary they are to our successful economy and I do feel for the ones that try to make a decent living here but get pushed out for whatever reason, but to say that there is alot of immigrants leaving is simply not true by any measureable standard or why are there so many of you everywhere? My 15 year old daughter can’t get a job at a job that would normally be for students and are now taken over by immigrants.\n\nIf you look at how China became a communist country, it was a class civil war with the CPP backing the “lower class”. You can see them doing that now. The problem is that many of the immigrants coming in are from placing where violence is normalized. And what do people do when they are in poverty and desperate? Look it up. This is how it happened in China.

Why because like Australia, Canada is extremely wealthy with resources. Our enemies know that and they want it. Some involved may even be our faux friends. Small country houses built and properly expanded do not have soup and at night they have to fight for survival on the streets again. The technology makes follow-up costs unnecessary but creates the opportunity to help in the long term. People also have dreams, even the poor ones. You just have to give everyone a fair chance in this whole commercial system. Help those who need it, they are from your own people or do you want to be just as hypocrites as the laws and systems themselves Humanity. Even technology and you can grow food yourself, also learn for others and continue to help others. Small gardens and notice that they are really being helped, new courage means hope and continue to help others, get involved in systems and pass on good knowledge. Whether drones or small robots, free energy and power. Don't help here and there. It is your own people that you are making to suffer and are making excuses and hypocrites of Jesus? Finally, really help yourself and, above all, yourself and the systems and keep your eyes open - all the technology you need is there and it's not expensive anymore. The excess production destroys the market but creates these unlimited possibilities to help poor people in systems.
