Time that migrants spend to find JOB and HOME are exceed TIME they can afford living, it means LOW CREDIT SCORE, DEBT Problems, bad mood, anxiety, no hope, and boom you have more homeless guys. Politics should be supporting migrants very well not just throwing them to the streets, put some regulatory, cut some paperwork for applying a job, make RULE that every IMMIGRANT should go to government job like cleaning streets or IDK make it MUST, so there will be no situation where they don't have jobs. Tell me TORONTO are to clean ? there is no way to give incoming people what to do without DOZENS OF STUPID PAPERS? WORK PERMIT >> READY TO START WORKING FROM TOMORROW >>> DAY / NOON / EVENING >>> Min Wage >>> Social small houses with low rend for city workers. To be clear, Canada does not pay for drug addicts to have their doses of drugs. They pay for them to have a safe injection site and free clean needles. If they don’t have any drugs and are at risk of dying sure to not having doses, or don’t want to be on drugs anymore, then they can get free doses of methadone which is a pharmaceutical used to help reduce dangerous withdrawal symptoms. I’d say this fact is much different than what you said. I do think there is a problem that needs addressing but you can’t expect right wing conservative givernwments to have a solution either since they usually just want to grease the palms of their rich friends.

We pay 40 to 45% in taxes aside from property tax, expensive housing, utiities and food. the current government ruling is the main reason people wanting to leave Canada. you can not blame them just when they think they have seen it all the government adds new taxes(Carbon) we pay all these taxes but we get our garbage picked up once a week!? when a thief steals from you here the police tells you report it yourself online!? there is many problems here but the government pushes to teach little kids sexual contents!? I guess dividing people is the key to rule without challenges.

As an immigrant, i think we are being unfair to canada. We can not just migrate to other countries for an easy life and start blaming and accusing them of not giving it to us while our countries of origin never gave us the same. To me the only issues id have is if there is discrimination ,persecution etc of immigrants. The problems the lady has raised here are universal and much worse in our countries of origin.

Liberal PM Cretian was elected in 1993. He ended the Federal housing programs, and shifted the responsibility for building social housing to the provinces. Of course the provinces did nothing in response. The municipal governments put in a lot of regulation, I suppose to protect the environment, and NIMBY. Home builders only built profitable homes, which were tiny condos in towers. The risks and rewards were pushed onto the private sector, meaning only the rich could participate in the overheated housing market. Then the PRC decided to start a global plague via a badly managed bioweapons lab, causing massive inflation across the planet. The problem is complex, because humans are too stupid to manage the planet properly. Canada is just a symptom of human overpopulation and idiocy.

Part of the problem is outside Canada, people seem to think Canada only has two cities and two provinces which happen to also be the two cities with the highest housing and rent prices. It is partially this lack of research and knowledge is driving up their demand and therefore prices.

The economy is like a neural network. When the government issues a decree or a regulation on some aspect, that axis/vertex become less efficient. When it happens too much, that portion of the economy freezes.\nThis is the problem with interventionism. An extreme example where the economy is all frozen and controlled, was the Soviet Union.

The real problem is the Education Industrial Complex. Universities and schools earn immense revenue from international students. You cut that, schools will start to close.

I mean each country has its own problem, it is just about balancing the pros and cons. Also people should do some research before moving to any country that whether they will be able to survive or not. Something people don't think before moving to Canada and then they return back to their country dissatisfied.

The big problem is that immigrants only want to live either in Toronto region or Vancouver. Few look elsewhere and that is the problem.
