Why don't all the nations like US and Canada try to help fix what is happening from the places these people are fleeing, especially if they are murder capitals? They can recruit these migrants to form coalitions to rebuild their nation. What if they are really are going to suffer there, without outside intervention, by being recruited, instead, into gangs or be killed or raped? If we send troops to the middle east for our vested interest, then don't we also have at least some vested interest to send troops in Honduras and El Salvador? We can prevent the entire population from migrating, prevent people from being exploited and hurt while traveling or living illegally and the taxpayers and citizens won't have to pay for court costs, education, healthcare and welfare. There are plenty of things our nation can do to uplift our own destitute and out of luck an alone citizens...with that money. With the money now saved, it can be diverted to cover the costs of our troops, counselors, educators in those nations. Then it is possible and foreseeable to reunite all the undocumented immigrants back to their now safer home countries. I understand why they flee and also understand why the US and Canada cannot absorb these large population of people, and they have the right to determine who is invited in, so....why can't there be more permanent solutions? I feel, certain pathetic political groups are playing these migrants, the law-abiding citizens and others in their game of chess. Lives are not pawns for chess. Is there a hidden path for drugs, money, prostitution that is being quietly supported? Are certain businesses lobbying in the millions and billions to get cheap labor? Is that why this problem is not finally being solved but kept alive for so many years? There are basic solutions that have not been tried in earnest. You cannot just bring everyone in and you cannot just turn your face to the problems these undocumented people face... I feel like much is not being discussed about this situation....Something else is going on that they are not covering...

The difference between the 60,000 Vietnamese boat people that came to Canada and the current wave of refugees is that the boat people were by and large law abiding people who are willing to accept our law, customs, culture and way of life. Several of my close friends are boat people. I'm a US expat living in China. In china, you cannot get a green card. I leave every 60 days because I can only stay for up to 60 days, just to turn around and come right back that same day. Once i'm back in China, I need to register my address with the police, and update my resident card. To get a 60 day business visa here, I had to get a Chinese company send me an invite, then need it to get approved. The process was expensive. But I follow Chinese law, and respect it with everything that I am. This is China and this is there laws. So who is VICE to make a victim out of this person? Just a crock of shit. This guy can go to many many countries around the world. India, Indonesia, even China but from the looks of it, this guy could not handle China. It sounds nice to say “Everyone has a human right to go where they want.” It isn’t so simple. If people come illegally, they affect everyone in the new country and all the people coming legally. If you detain them together with their family, you are incarcerating children, if you take the parents only you break up families. If you send them back with no detention and no appeals, you miss cases with legitimate grounds to have an exception. Im a Canadian citizen (born in Toronto) who hasn't lived in Canada for over a decade. I left and declared non-resident status. I visit nearly every summer, spending around $8-10k a trip as well as sending money back to support my parents in Ottawa. I get nothing from Canada, and rightly so. I have to purchase my own health insurance when coming back. That's completely okay with me because I haven't paid into the system for over 10 years. How in the hell is someone who hops over the border with no previous ties to Canada entitled to ANYTHING though? They should be shipped back to their country of origin and duties assessed on any imports from that country should be raised to cover those costs or some other method of recouping that money should happen.

If you are an immigrant to one country you can't really expect to claim asylum in another country. On top of that...I believe we should have a moratorium on immigration in Canada. let's start looking out for our own...PERIOD> 20,000 send them all back!
