I don't understand why these people feel entitled to live wherever they want. I don't understand why they run from their troubles at home instead of confronting them. If your going to risk you life on a journey to run away from a broken country, when you could stay home and fight FOR YOUR HOME at about the same risk, that's cowardly.

There is supposedly an agreement between Canada and the US called the Safe Third Country Agreement which means illegal immigrants are supposed to apply for asylum in the first country they come to. Unfortunately, because of Trump, the Canadian government doesn't trust any US government to give these asylum seekers a fair hearing. Second, this agreement only applies to official border crossings, not unofficial ones like Roxham Road. Trudeau is absolutely right in wanting to renegotiate the Safe Third Country Agreement.

I love the fact that not one person here wrote anything bad or racist about these criminal immigrants. But if they were black, well, that would have been another story.

This policy encourages people (regularpeople, criminal) ?all around the world try to enter illegally to canada as a refugee, becuase to enter to Canada as a immigrant, you need to spend a lot of money, wait for 3 1/2 to 4 years (if you get 70 points, you will pass otherwise you are rejected), then you need to have money to come here to settle down and find a job (then you need Canadian experinece)...... abd so on. But as a refugee, all expenses is paid, you do not need to pay for rent, and so on... WHICH ONE DO YOU CHOOSE TO ENTER TO CANADA!!!!????

We have too big of government, too many regulations, too many taxes. Who would do business in Canada? Name a Canadian company other than shopify. Blackberry... Oh wait its dead. You can save so much time for so little money and with that time you can work for even more money or go have a great time. Let’s all live like KING! Be a Great person without doing anything! \nWe want to be good neighbors, but my room is just too comfy. This will build and strengthen our neighborhoods and trickle into a stronger country. \n \n4.Can’t own Slaves anymore, but we got the next best thing. \nCheap labor. We need to have our own Giant Factories and more Labor force and Health care worker relief. Let them in but they must work hard and cheaply and take Jobs most Americans don't want as they are starting from the bottom. Until they master English, they are not a threat to any jobs that you might want, and most don't even bother to learn which is good for us. \n \nHealthcare workers are working too hard. Let’s use migrants and help them out, immigrants can do all the labor-intensive and poop work so our healthcare workers can focus more on the health of the patients. This will reduce hospital bills since labor is a major cost to any business. We will also all receive better care at the hospital. \n \nUS companies and foreign companies are building factories in India or in Mexico when the same workers are at our doors. Let's build them here in the USA and we English speakers will have to manage them unfortunately since that’s the language of the Country. If you speak Spanish and English, you are going to have many jobs. \nEverything important should be made in America with all these workers. We can all have our own factories and business and exploit cheap labor flocking to our Great Country. We must use this to our advantage while it lasts. \nCheap labor we can Build houses that are affordable. Fix all the infrastructure we have been crying about. \n \n5. If War we're ready! \nIf we ever have another World War first one to go are minorities and poor people so, not only does it provide us with a bigger army, but you might not be first to get drafted. Not only that but because we have immigrants we would have stronger ties to those immigrant countries which can come in handy later. You never know which country will become the next global leader and we can always use military support. \n \nIf there are other legal exploitation, we can benefit from having immigrants into our Great nation please share! In North America, almost everyone was an immigrant at one time. Canada is the second biggest country in the world with a small population. we have huge amounts of resources in everything, If we had America's population, we would be the richest country in the world. As long as people come to work and not sit on welfare, the more the better.

WHY don’t they go to another South American company, where they speak the same language? O that’s right, the USA and Canada have all kinds of Social programs. In NYC they are given hotel rooms, served three meals a day, even given laundry cards. O AND, they are given City jobs, uniforms included. If Canada or the US were to charge a fee for permission to remain the revenue would be astounding! I can't think of one immigrant that would refuse to pay a $500 monthly fee to remain and work freely in either country. It has been suggested many, many times. The amount of revenue generated would exceed that of the tax revenue we currently have in place for common Americans by 2030. Why Republicans don't allow this? Because the conditions and rules that most be followed like, no felonies would optimally change the face of who they portrayed them to be.

there's no point,,these issues are the same in all those better countries we normally refer to as foreign countries for immigrants. its nothing strange. I’m the son of immigrants. However, my parents asked for asylum by going to us embassy in Bangkok Thailand. So born and raised in America. But when I see this it breaks my heart, on one hand I feel for those who want a better life for themselves. On the other, we cannot let this type of chaos unfold before our eyes. Is the solution a militarized wall that mirrors the Korean DMZ or West Bank barrier- maybe, I hope not, i prefer not to build walls but bridges of friendship, trade, problem solving, and unity. Canada is one of the most racist and discrimatory country in the world. It feeds on fooling skilled immigrants and bringing doctors and engineers or other professionals from other countries to come and clean toilets here or become a taxi driver or some other low paying job. Well Canada is a great country, my grand parents were able to get here in 1957 with their 3 kids, after going through and surviving WWII, work in Europe was scarce and employers were abusing their workers everywhere. My dad was one of those 3 children's, he met my mother here, they had me and my sister. Today i have 3 boys of my own and my sister has 2 girls. Canada has any country as their plusses and minuses, but i wouldn't live anywhere else. I've lived my whole life on the south shore of Montréal, worked in and around Montréal for 35 years. Never ran out of work as long as i was willing and able to work. I've worked in all my life, 65% immigrants and 35% Québecer's. There both are kinda racists in some way and they have there own reasons as well. I was bullied in school till i was 11 years old, i had an accent and dressed differently since my dad made our clothing. Being ridiculed, pushed, punched etc, and then one day the bully of the school approached me and wanted to fight me. I was scared, everyone else were laughing, so i clenched my fist and punched that kid right on the nose. Everyone got quiet and the principal came out, we went to his office and then he asked me straight away : Are you gonna do this again or was it a one time thing ?? I said it will be one time thing unless someone else wants to fight me again, then i will have to defend myself again. He said ok and now go back to class, and that was that. But in the 1970's with the augmentation of people moving here after WWII, people in Canada were scared immigrants would steal their jobs etc. My grand father worked all his life till he died at 82 years old. Worked 6 days a week, 12 to 16 hours a day. My dad had worked all his life 70 hours a week and sometimes 85 hours a week. People complaining about doctors or hospitals, a lot are going in for a cold, the flu, headaches etc, for sure take 2 aspirin or tylenol and stay home, no need to see a doctor for that. If you have a broken limb or were in an accident, you go right in and get fixed up without issue really. Any country as it's inconveniences in the end ?

Canadians are so stupid they'll probably re-elect Justin. Canada's immigration policy thanks to the Trudeaus, is making sure that Canadians founding peoples and cultures will rapidly become a slim minority and be taken over by third-world toilet cultures. Canada deserves to self-destruct.

Thus, not enough Black people in Canada to support evidence of Job Income Inequality compared to White Canadians. \n\nAnd that alone should make one question the credibility of the Data by statistics Canada on Income equality for Black people vs White people. Moreover, its illegal in Canada to pay Anyone less than someone else ( regardless of Race, Gender, ....etc ) for the Same Job / profession and same amount of hours worked. And to suggest racism against the Black population based upon such weak data is laughable and demonstrates a lack of critical thinking.\n\nLastly , forms of racism exist in ALL countries, granted. However, Canada is well renowned for being one the least racist countries in the World compared to most Countries as well as one of the most Obliging & Tolerant. Albeit, It's the last a decade or so of perpetuated Propaganda that has deluded people to think racism against Minorities is rampant , when it seriously isn't.\n\nMatter of fact, Canada over excessive Generosity and Tolerance on many levels , \nEconomically, Immigration Influx and Socialism has already Commenced Canada's inevitable downfall towards increasingly Poor Quality of life overall for most people, Now and in near coming Future. Although, most people prefer not to Acknowledge nor Prepare for it.

Lived in Canada all my life. Love it. But,,, there is no future here. High taxes, poor government,, low wags, racism is a huge problem, and its not just white peoples. I just want point out the income and hate crime stats don’t necessarily prove any racism, a lot of immigrants end up making less money as there is already a lot of competition in the industry already and companies prefer experience in Canada itself, and the hate crime stats don’t prove much either as there will always be some racist people anywhere (and they are rarely race to their home country) so obviously the biggest minorities (the ones on the chart) will be more prone to hate crimes basically regardless of the amount of racism or the location\n (I’m not defending racism just pointing out facts)

First off Canada is not a systemically racist country I’m white I’m also poor and I’ve lived here all my life nearly everyone excluding the native population in a immigrant or a descendant of a immigrant my mom is Portuguese and I also have black family members we are no more racist than anyone else in any other country. Canadian tax payers don’t want to pay for drug addicts to get more drugs the Liberal Canadian government have set up “safe injection sites” and “ methadone clinics” that basically give these addicts more drugs that are payed for with our tax dollars again these clinics and safe injection sites didn’t exist when I was a kid and since then the number home homelessness has increased as well as the number in population addicted to drugs. Ok racism definitely exists, and the doctors are hard to get, mostly we welcome immigrants, homelessness and drug use enabling is real, but most of the other problems aren’t that big compared to other places honestly. I always feel privileged to live here because I’d trade other things other countries have for free health care s thousand times over. I do feel bad for people that struggle and have to use their life savings for one surgery for example or spend $2000.00 to have a baby in the hospital. I lived in the states for awhile when I was young as well. I remember a white racist lady pointed a rifle at me and my black friend in Missouri when I was 6 years old, here I don’t have to worry about that happening to my kindergartener.

Come to the South. There is some racial segregation by neighborhoods (especially in the very rich and very poor), but there are tons of racially diverse neighborhoods. The most extreme examples of racial segregation are found in the North and the Coasts. Ask the average resident of Providence, RI how many black people they know or share a neighborhood with. I bet it's going to be on one hand and maybe even one digit. It doesn't surprise me that the races self-segregate up North, because that's how it's always been done. Even when the majority of immigrants were European, major American cities had Polish, Russian, German, Portuguese, and Italian neighborhoods. It's just easier to see now that we have a bunch of different skin colors represented.

I think you ladies are way out in left field and you really don't know what you're talkin about. Unfortunately for some people it doesn't work out for whatever reason usually because they do not want to assimilate very well. I grew up in Ontario to a french-canadian father and an Italian mother in my life in Canada was so perfect said if I had to dream up a better life I could not have done so. I grew up playing all the sports and enjoyed all the different sports and the changes of seasons. My parents had a summer home on the st-lawrence river and every summer we water-ski swam fished, play golf in the morning and barbecues every night right on the water. Even though my grandfather was in the hotel business I was all about sports and enjoying everything about it. I grew up in a town of about 50 thousand about 40 miles from Montreal. When I wanted some great nightlife just drove a short drive to Montreal and it had everything did anyone could want in Nightlife. I have lived in United States for forty years and I can tell you that it really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Heaven forbid should you get some kind of catastrophic illness you are screwed. I knew a woman who work for travelers insurance for 30 years at the best insurance a money could buy had suffered a couple of strokes and was on the verge of going broke had she not died when she died. People think that insurance continues to pay his long as you're ill and nothing could be further from the truth. This lady was going to have to sell her house to continue paying for round-the-clock care had she not died when she did. United States middle class is getting wiped out. I've seen enough poverty and hardship in this country to last a lifetime. I find greed to be running rampant in this country. When I grew up in Canada there was always the grass is greener on the other side and when I did move over to the other side the US that is I can tell you unequivocally the dead grass is not greener on the other side. There are more millions and millions of people here that are one or two paychecks away from being homeless. And we're talkin 2023. Now let's talk about violence. There is a mass murder in the United States every single day of the year. And a mass murder is defined by four or more people being killed by one person at one time. Killing these so out of control in the United States that now even six-year-olds are shooting their teacher. I find a tremendous amount of built-up Anger from people. Food is very expensive and shelter is also out of control and non affordable to most people. Again I find United States being able to paint a much Rosier picture then does really exist. And there are more con artists and thieves , Crooks, con-artists, bamboozlers, cheats and scammers then anywhere that I've ever been. And I will say this is it it ain't getting any better and I don't see it ever getting better. I find it is everybody out for themselves no matter who they cheat. I live in Southern California and I can tell you that night life where I live is non-existent. Understand that LA and Hollywood they always have to glamorize everything to sell it to tourists. Just remember that things today are not what they were 40 years ago. Middle-class people in Canada would also be just middle-class people in the US. But if your life means anything to you as far as safety and raising a family then Canada wins hands down end of discussion. People that say Canada is boring is because they are boring. That's what I found to be pretty standard across the board. Life is what you make of it. But I will say that you gals definitely need to move away if you don't like Canada. Do not let the door hit your ass on the way out. And just for your information Canada ranks annually as one of the top countries in the world to immigrate to. Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and next to Saudi Arabia has the third largest oil Reserves in the world. Canada has huge amount of freshwater which most of the rest of the world seems to be lacking and having spent my Summers on the Saint Lawrence River one of the Great Rivers in this world. I wouldn't change my twenty years in Canada for anyplace else in this world and I will be moving back shortly.

I think because America is such a big melting pot is the reason why we have these problems. If you made any other country as diverse as we are with a big concentration in small areas (like NYC) you do get big problems. It’s easy to say a country is safe when everyone is the same ethnicity, small population and same culture. \n\nIf you leave the big cities in America you do get the safe aspect. Some areas even near NYC i leave my car open with my wallet out and keys in the ignition. \n\nI think it’s also unfair considering we are number one in immigration and have all sorts of people trying to get here. If any other country was like us in that regard they would not be able to handle it.

Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.
