Canadian university taking official bribe from India or Pakistani or Bangladeshi students instead of checking their qualifications is the main problem to begin with. You can deport students. You have right to do so. But put the universities and your government behind bars for the con business you guys have done with everyone. I have been an international student myself and I think that Canadian government and institutions must focus on bringing people with particular skillsets that is required in the economy. Anything apart from that is a burden to both the individuals and the citizens. It's sad to think that the government and educational institutions called in students over the past few years just for the money(tuitions).

By the Federal government Trudeau will say yes to get there votes!! BS send them back to their country! CANADA tax payers cannot afford this!!!

Take a look at the open immigration policy for people coming from Iran, Syria and Morocco. Last time I looked Iran was not a friend yet we open the door to these countries. No vetting, no security and no age limit. 70 plus years old coming to Canada on Work Permits. This will affect our healthcare. Indian students paid and worked for their chance to live here. Take a look. Investigate the special programs for different countries in the middle east.

This is a Trudeau government mess that the Liberal/NDP coalition created and they are now furiously backpedaling.\n\nShame on them and the harm they are creating for raising unrealistic expectations of international students.\n\nMany of these students families have invested large amounts of money and incurred financial hardships in order to send a family member abroad to study.\n\nOne must count the cost on all fronts as a government before implementing an open door policy of this kind.\n\nIndia Canada diplomatic relations are already on a wobbly footing. This lack of foresight and long-term planning will not aid the relationship going forward.

Foreign students should not be allowed to work in Canada. The fact that they are allowed to protest in Canada for Canadian rights shows their arrogance against a weak government.

The only way out of this mess is not more state and more regulation, but quite the opposite--deregulate and privatize, deregulate and privatize. I think Everyone is right and wrong at the same time in all of this. Students are wrong to expect 'rights' in a country of which they are not a citizen of but they are also right in the point that government changed the rules overnight without any prior guidance. This the the same as increasing corporate tax rate in this budget. It came out of nowhere. The employers are also right because more labour = lower wages. These students are willing to work to far less than an average Canadian. If these students don't work for low wages then inflation goes ballistic. If you have to pay higher wage to manufacture a product then that extra cost gets passed on to the consumer. raising price of goods = inflation. Also This would increase taxes. If you pay more for a product, you pay % tax on total price of that item which now has baked in higher wages. If you do bring in more of these cheap labour than social services cant keep up like health care. I cannot believe how thoroughly this government has fked our country.

These power hungry politicians have already converted this great country in to a fourth world country. If the government bends the rules and bow to the demands of these international students, soon there will be a demand for the formation of Khalistan within the territories of Canads.

The processing times is what Canada needs to seriously look at. Once that is done, immigrants won't like to move. At point your life can just come to a halt all in the name of processing on the part of Government. To renew a work permit may take between 3 and 6 months to be done. Apply for travel document and it takes forever. PR processing is the worse as it can take up to 4 years. Too much frustrations

Canada, as inhabitable as it is in most parts, is literally empty… and just has 40 million people. You can build numerous satellite cities with a million people in each of them over a decade, housing, commerce, schools, hospitals, infrastructure and all. If the government creates and subsidizes the land, construction itself is fairly easy. Heck, at the other side of the world, I’ve been involved in developing around 1.5 million sqm of commercial real estate in just over 13 years, what are you waiting for?
