Every shoppers drug Mart I've been to ever, always had a white woman at the comsetic section. There's plenty of other people who could do that job. Come on shoppers. I think blind recruitment should be done everywhere, automatically. If possible. No names, no race, no gender...only qualifications.

The more west you go the more rasicm there. Go to Toronto or Montreal. Really if you find a diverse city in Canada it’s not that racist. Ive actually living in America applied for a job in Cooperate American. I applied with real name education and work history. I was VERY qualified if not Overqualified...i applied using a different variation of my name amd using my mothers maiden name, and got the job after interviewing with a different supervisor. Once i showed my ID for tax papers etc. I was called into the office on my orientation day amd was told that i wasnt hired using my real name and could not continue employment. Well i wasnt silent. I sued and received a settlement. Racism is everywhere even in a name

I'm an American that lives in a legal weed State, I like how weed is legal everywhere and I liked it the Canadian flag and how you can replace the maple leaf with a pot leaf.

I live in Victoria, and take this. I worked in a place, where the manager was from Asia, and she treated me like hell forcing me to move to another department, claiming she doesn't need an assistant. NEXT day she hired an Asian girl. She obviously needs an assistant, but because she wanted an Asian with her, she did that. And now you go to that department and you find all employees are from her country. Talk about racism, it's everywhere. And yes when an Asian or a black treat others in a wrong way, it's still called racism. People only shout racism when it comes from the White while we do see racism from others, but we don't hear anyone condemning it

Negative peoples everywhere

This happened in the US but I was working at Panera and two really nice ladies wearing burkas came to order some food and the old white guy cashiering refuses to cash them out because of what they are wearing. \n\nThat's straight up discrimination, I hope they didn't know why he wouldn't served them because that's horrible and he should feel ashamed. That was the first time I witnessed discrimination and I couldn't believe someone would do that, but I see it's common everywhere, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I hope all these blatant racists get what's coming to them

I am not white man, but I don't really mind racism, it's everywhere, in every country, and within one country among different races, we all know it, all the immigrants who are living in North America, whichever country we came from, in those countries there are racism too between different ethnic groups, as long as someone does not harm others on racial grounds then it's ok

There’s really only 3 big cities in Canada, Toronto Montreal and Vancouver. Which are completely different than all of Canada. Toronto is very similar to London England. Whereas Montreal is really similar to Paris. Not so much in architecture, but in terms of people, life, style, slang. Lots of people in Toronto listen to toronto artist and UK artist as well whereas Montreal residents listen to their Montreal artist and French artist from France. Most of the similarities here are actually not like any American cities. America to us seems really “white” there’s not lot of diversity there either. Toronto is so diverse, People from literally everywhere its so nice to see. Our Prime Minister also a lot better looool

We had pennies in canada till about 2013.. then stores/banks stopped accepting them .. still find those things everywhere tho !! haha

White people are under pressure everywhere , if you’re White you can’t say nothing about your race or you don’t have a right to decide who’s going to be at your country .

Religions...man, that shouldn't be considered part of freedom of expression since it has historically been imposed on people everywhere. May it be by direct force or by social/family pressure it will take over people's life.

Racism is everywhere a lily white dude I knew was the biggest thief ever. He'd walk out of stores with whole grocery carts full of stuff, Right out the door. I never would give him a ride or anything. I knew what he would do, I didn't want no parts of it. Not looking to get locked up at all. It would baffle me that he could just walk out of any store and never get watched or stopped at all. But if he was black he would have been follow from entry to exit. SMH

I loved this. I have always wanted to move to Canada and wondered about race relations. More importantly I think it is important to be honest about the struggles we all face everywhere. Nothing in this made me want to not visit Canada or think that ALL Canadians think a certain way...it was just information. Not all information is information you need to act on, but it is important for information to make you think.
