It's really getting ridiculous - I'm making 6 figures, and was living comfortably until 2018. Now I have to pinch every single penny. One thing that changed is I had my first-born. But it should not be this expensive to raise of family of 1 child. It's getting ridiculous. Its not the colour of someones skin, their religion, or their culture that makes someone a good person and worth knowing. Its how they treat others. Canada has always been a country that's thrived because of diversity. In my experience most immigrant Canadians have great work ethics and treat others with respect and kindness. As a resident of Canada living in the GTA, I have to say I've never been more ashamed to live here. Ontario is a great place to live if you're a criminal - petty or organized. There is a degree of corruption here at every level of government and through every regulatory board. We're getting taxed into oblivion.

I lived in canada for past 35 years. I am married with 3 kids. I work like a dog 60 hrs a week , i pay heavy taxes on my salary soo the government can give away hard tax payers money to people who scam the system. Examples are walfare and ontario works. I know people that get $1350 minimum on odsp and they are more than capable of working but choose to scam the sysytem collect free money and work cash jobs for less money and take away jobs from others. Hate this country now and cant wait to leave and shift else where were i can happily retire and watch my kids grow up and spend time with my family since everything in canada is soo expensive i have to work overtime and my wife also started working part time?

Also, I dont understand why the incomers dont respect the Canadians by speaking english in any public places, cause if I am on same shoe I would be irritated. I am Italian and there was a time where I dreamed of living in Canada, but never really had a chance to immigrate because I don't hold a university degree, despite making £75k per year. In my country, we are on a good way to become like Canada. We accept about a million immigrants from Africa and the Middle East EVERY YEAR and provide them with free housing. As a result, low income singles are largely living with their parents now. Housing immigrants is extremely attractive for land lords since the money comes reliably from the state.

I regret all the hardwork i put in to become a pr in canada. I became a lawyer and found a fulltime job only to realise the facts stated herein.
