I’m an immigrant of two years from the UK. I have to say at the time of moving due to Covid everything was expensive throughout the world and there was uncertainty in most things. Myself and my wife now have our own businesses as we found that the system here does not favour immigrants in getting the jobs Canada claims it needs to fill. The reality is the government and unions don’t want educated people to fill mid to high paying jobs and it’s impossible to get jobs in teaching, nursing, doctors etc if you are not educated here. The government wants immigrants to populate and work the low paid jobs even if they have a bachelor, mba or phd.

Why do people still keep coming to Canada? Because it's even worse where they come from. Unfortunately, even countries in Europe are in trouble. Have a look at France and Germany. Germany is in debt and in recession; all Latin EU countries are in debt up to their eyeballs, facing bankruptcy thanks to free spending liberal governments. As for Developing Countries, their GDPs are not enough to deal with their populations reaching working age. Their growth is too slow, so opportunities abroad look attractive. And, if immigrants move onward to the USA, that is the natural flow Canadian immigration has had for decades. The Can. government will need to become heavily involved in creating affordable, high density housing, cut red tape, and make education cheaper if they want to retain migrants.

That's is what we got. This is because the immigration policy in America has broken for decades because the corrupt politicians want to work with mafia, Mexico. This is what we've got all America's fall. Cheap labor because it didn't want to work with the Africans who were born. American citizens ready to work work hard. But wanted a little bit more money. This is what racism brings you white America.. And this is only the beginning

The premise of immigrants coming to fill labor shortages/shrinking population and some come with children...that even sets them further behind with our high cost of living. The reason there is a low birth rate is because of cost of living so how is the average immigrant supposed to survive better working at Tim Hortons with three children any better than the people already born here??????????????? Is it because people from India these people live with 50 people in a two bedroom apartment and pool their incomes???

Compared to US the kind of people that are immigrating to Canada are those who are just not up to the mark who could prosper economically. It is like they wanted to get to the gold standard - US - but since they are not that skilled going to a truly disgusting compromise. I recognized that about 22+ years ago after working for a few months in Canada. There is no comparison to the US!

You forgot to mention Trudeau and his Liberals as being the most repugnant part of our Nation. As for racism, we didn't ask to lose our National identity with his immigration policies. How many other countries have to deal with Whites or Blacks moving, and then being 1/4 of your population... Safe to say, you'd take issue, too, especially when the people Trudeau let in expect us to assimilate to THEIR culture... It doesn't work that way. Canada is awful. Since I moved here 1,5 years ago I’m just struggling with the depression all this time. There is no joy in this country, no feeling of safety. Crime is happening all the time. I don’t feel safe walking on the streets. My salary is low bcz no employer is willing to pay good money to an immigrant. I’m not able to afford a car but the public transport is just terrible! I can barely afford to split the rent with my partner. Barely can save any money. As an immigrant I will never be able to buy a property here. I lived and worked in another country and I was able to save so much money and have a great life, travel, buy food, have fun. Here I am not able to do this.

I came as an immigrant 25 years ago. I live in Vancouver and I'd say that social isolation is big problem here. Most of my neighbours first language is something other than English and most don't speak English at all, which makes it practically impossible to ever get to know each other in any meaningful way. The way it works out is that people then get into their own ethnic groupings and eventually their children will speak fluent English and then there is some integration. But that takes a whole generation. Canada is being swamped at the moment and just how it will all work out remains to be seen.

I work with a lot of Canadians and some are immigrants from Latin America. 3/4 want to move to the US or go to a cheaper country. They are done.

Immigrants don't understand volunteer work and internships.

Here is the reality of Canada, experienced by both native Canadians and new Indian immigrants: No matter what your education, there is an extreme shortage of jobs for highly skilled workers. The result is that Canadian and Indian graduates work in minimum-wage jobs for all of their life. Rents are rising at 15% to 25% per year, but wages are barely rising at all. It has now reached the point where people are starting to live in their cars since they can't afford to pay the rent. Even 4 people living together and splitting the cost is not enough to afford the rents that are now being charged. Health Care? What health care, there is none in Canada; if you get sick you just might die waiting 24+ hours to see a doctor at the hospital.

Well I will tell you that I am an immigrant with Canadian citizenship, I have been living in Canada for almost 12 years, and I have decided to leave Canada to live permanently in my home country Peru. The reasons why I will leave Canada are mainly the extremely high cost of life (the rent mainly) I have lived in Toronto for almost 7 years and until now I am renting rooms because it's the only space I can afford with my current salary. The other reason is the health care service, as the lady in the video mentioned, I have been in the waiting list for 2 years to see an specialist and until now nothing. I got used to the weather, the people, the snow, I have my own car but it's sucking me almost CAD$1000 per month among monthly payments, gasoline and insurance. While in Lima Peru the cost of life is almost a third part of what it's here. The food is cheap and the quality is high (everything is organic in Peru). I will keep my Canadian job and work remotely from Lima and I will live like a king¡¡¡¡¡, I miss the food, the beaches, the amazing social life and with my Canadian passport I will be able to travel anywhere in the world once a year ..... now that's what I call living the life .... I am so excited¡¡¡

I was born in Canada and I can tell you that the Immigration policies are just scams, they only show and tell you what a person can easy achieve if that person wants (which are mostly lies) and then when someone immigrates to Canada they soon find out that it was pretty much all lies. I know someone from India that apparently has a computer engineering degree from his country, but, when he arrived in Canada and tried to find work, the government told him that his degree is not relevent in finding work, HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE???

This is kinda stupid now.. why wouldn’t they go through the same process like everyone else? This is madness! Those people are so hardworking but why won’t they use the same energy to work on entry the legal way? On a side Note, the Chinese immigrants are probably amongst these chaos and they are still bad mouthing the US.

I'm one of those immigrants who left. My wife and I got our Canadian citizenships and are back in the Philippines now for a year and I'm loving it here. The remote work has really worked for the best in these low cost of living countries.

It is not easy to become a Canadian citizen. It would be truly unfortunate. If an immigrant went there worked hard to become a citizen and then later become disgruntled and want to leave. I’m sure it’s expensive to live there, but I’m sure that there are ups and downs to every country that we can go to.

I immigrated to Canada with 15 years of experience in IT and I worked in English English-speaking countries before coming to Canada. However, they do not consider my overseas English. It took me 6 months to get a programmer job in Canada. Most employers requested Canadian experience.

We were already in a housing crisis before Trudeau brought over those 80,000 refugees/immigrants, then we had all those who jumped our border from the US because Trudeau invited them to come to Canada. All that on top of our usual amount of immigrants that come in every year.\nIn the end we should have a MAXIMUM cap on the total # of refugees/immigrants that can enter the country per year no matter how/why they want to enter, and we should require all of them to have skills/trades/etc that we actually need. Why should we be bringing in people who can't/won't work? It made life enjoyable, and only one parent had to work, so Canadians could have kids. On my way to work this week, I was stopped at least 7 times by new immigrants \nwith a suitcase on wheels looking for a foodbank but could not speak a lick of \nEnglish. Immigration is good but do not bring in criminals and leachers! Canada have brought in so many criminals from other countries. The documentary on the iranian regime recently, how on earth did we have 700 of them!? How many immigrants are here and just leaching off the welfare system? We need more immigrants to fill the job vacancies because Canadians are too spoiled to work when they can sit at home and collect, more immigrants to fill jobs to make taxes because Canadians who sit at home and collect don't pay taxes. Stop immigration now Canada needs to work on sovereignty back. Immigration not the same as when my parents came here so different from today. To much people are here to invest with there retirement money and school not helping or becoming Canadian money money. So much big big homes everywhere that will be unaffordable now or in ten years. Why does Canada need Immigration? The Gap between Canadians who are retiring and those who are in the workforce (and hence are paying taxes) or are supposed to enter is increasing. There are more Canadians retiring than those working. Result? The Canadian government has less tax revenue (and perhaps more expenditure as a result of Increased pensions etc.). So now, either the government has to Increase Taxes (More taxes? Hell no!!) or bring in New Immigrants to increase the tax-paying workforce of the Canadian Economy. Hence, immigrants are needed and the political parties including Conservative, Liberal, NDP, etc. know this and are inviting immigrants in record numbers. The issue is too much red tape in Building housing options in Canada, not immigrants

They dont know anything about how the governement works or how if we stopped taking in immigrants our entire economy would collapse. In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Don't und why indians are so crazy about moving to Canada. Stop watching bullywood movies who glamourises western countries. There are no work opportunities there. Bad weather...extreme cold, severe depression. Zero socializing, crazy inflation. Canada immigration is all about fooling people and getting them invest their hard earned money and ending up being a cheap labor.

Good solid takes on life in Canada as it stands in the larger cities. My family immigrated in the late 80s when I was a young child to YYZ and the housing prices and quality of living was really solid back then. We moved to YVR in the late 90s and prices seemed to be pretty stable as well. Think things started to change shortly after my undergrad years in the mid 2000s. Unfortunately, the government wanted to increase immigration which is great, but forgot to build out the transportation infrastructure and develop the health care system properly. Foreign credential recognition is really the biggest bottleneck for newcomers. Newcomer employment expectations and what is available to them is not really matching up, I know this first hand as I've worked in the employment enabling sector. Weather as you mentioned is subjective, I prefer the cold, clean crisp air here in Canada, I don't do well in the hot humid polluted weather in most East and Southeast Asian countries. Crime has definitely been on the rise as many people around me have had personal experiences with this topic. Finally housing, to live comfortably in YVR a family income of 150K is probably bare minimum these days.

Immigrants bring billions of dollars to the Canadian government every year. Immigrants pay 3x more than Canadians for college tuition. Permanent resident application is over 1.5 k, if you pay a consultant or immigration lawyer, it goes up to 2k to 5k, work permit application 150, study permit 150, plus biometrics 80 cad, plus 1.2 k for a room per month, plus food, plus 200 dollars for the bus per month. I still wanna know where all this money goes. It should be invested in healthcare and housing.

You can thank the Trudeau/NDP government elitist mentallity and its hurting Canadians more than anything.\n Immigrants are treated better than my\n80 year old mother who has worked and lived here her whole life.
