Great video. I just watched a video about Nouakchott. Very safe for kids and women. People stop for prayers in the middle of a transaction leaving vehicles open. Every building has a Masjid attached so no excuse for missing prayer. It seams like what Dubai was like in the 1970´s and has similar hot weather, I spent ten years there . I’d like to think I could watch the whole video but frankly within the first 3 reasons people are “leaving Canada” - not something I’ve notice although in and election season I am not surprised this may be getting blown up In conservative press, you have left out any real context. Yep we pay taxes - but you don’t speak to what services those taxes do our don’t deliver. The complaint that employers want to hire people with experience is as old as time. I’m 70 and when I tried to get jobs as a kid and later as a university grad - it was the same story. Whether the job really requires experience or the employer is just using it to keep entry level wages down - that just goes with the territory and also feels universal. Lastly - you speak of “the Canadian way” without giving any examples. What is “the Canadian way” or is that just your euphemism for racial or cultural prejudice? If it is you should just say what you mean and stop bandying ill defined terms around that let viewers arrive at conclusions you don’t intend. So already being pretty annoyed with your Masters degree opinion piece - I had to stop you and move on. You thoughts here are not very meaningful and feel like they are full of grievances and intended to be asking for audience validation of your grievances which pretty much invalidates your disclaimer at the top of the video.

Shocking to watch this video. 20 years my family and I had an enjoyable stay in Vancouver especially the Rocky mountain trip. Beautiful scenery and I was thinking of migrating to Canada, Vancouver. \n\nRecently I heard horrible stories of racism and anti Chinese. Canada economy now is bad and no safety staying there. High taxes, rising crime rates and not much opportunities for work or business in Vancouver. Within 20 yrs Vancouver was once a beautiful, safe place became a rundown crime infested place.

International students ARE NOT driving up home prices or rent...that's a supply/demand issue (plus the lack of control government has on landlords and how much they can charge for a specific unit) and it's also a foreign buyer issue (yes Chinese foreign buyers, who buy homes in Canada but never move-in and use it as the home as a savings account). Not the international students problem, when the government of Canada DEMANDS THESE STUDENTS NOT WORK FOR MORE THAN 20 HOURS A WEEK and then watches them struggle to pay for rent (and therefore have to live 2 or 3 to a room)...yeah, don't blame the students. BLAME THE GOVERNMENT for bringing these students here, handicapping them by limiting their work hours (minimum wage at that) and then turning around and blaming them for why homes are ridiculously expensive and rent is unaffordable. Yeah, don't blame the government for it's inability to build homes...don't blame the government, instead, blame the minimum wage international student...it's going to be interesting if this actually brings DOWN rent prices and home costs. Which it won't, at which point, the government is going to be pointing fingers at someone else. Like they always do. LOL.

I don’t think the student’s are a problem as much as immigration itself.\nCanada has been very negligent the way immigrants were taking in to the Country. Instead of letting these immigrants responsibly come into the Country , they were stampeding into Canada without anyone watching that these people even were eligible or not. We have no doubt many undesirable’s who would not have been allowed under normal circumstances. Quality of life is horrible- work - home - watching Netflix unless you go out to eat mediocre food and be forced to pay minimum 15 % tip on already high bill. People in home country can afford to buy apartments, enjoy quality of life. Regret coming to this country.

I have been in Toronto recently for holidays and it was one of the worst places I have ever been to. The whole city is simply full of cars, it stinks everywhere, you get watched by security all the time when you go shopping (even for clothes), which, as a european, was just a major cultural shock, and once when I used the subway to go somewhere, we could not continue because someone got shot on a street so that is was blocked. The combination with a total lack of any nice place like some nice parks or something (there is the lake, but somehow they managed to literally build an airport on an island opposit of the promenade, which is simply loud and disturbing), I would liteally be depressed after a few months if I had to live there. I am not really sure why people go there despite these high rents. In my opinion, rents would need to be lower than average in such a city...

Depends on your interests and personality. Small cozy Ontario towns is where it's at for me. The arts are nice in Toronto, but giving yourself a 2 hour buffer between you and the weirdos, the mental meltdowns on the subway, and filth, is my favourite way to deal with the city. Get where you need to be in Toronto, leave quickly, and watch the violent crime and culture collapse from far away. Honestly even participating in arts is nicer in the smaller towns now, I guess I have no reason to be there anymore.
