When I came to canada, from europe, many years ago, nothing this BS happened, people used to come to study finished and leave, Today we have weak government. Welcome to Punjab, Canadians.

as someone who grew up in BC canada, I can give many more vital reasons its absolutely awful here. \n\n1) Poor health care: everyone thinks Canada is so great for free health care. Be ready to wait up to 12 hours in hospitals to be seen for 5 mins. Also, my aunt passed away from waiting on breast cancer surgery in BC.\n\n2) Poor infrastructure: Roads here have been the same since 1960s, but now we have millions more people. Rush hour traffic is insanity in vancouver and toronto.\n\n3) Inefficient roadwork: Road construction can take up to 10 years, they close the road and leave it, I rarely seen people work on it and it causes far more traffic\n\n4) government promotes laziness: My friend who is a doctor works 2 days a week, why? because why would he work more at far lower pay? it all goes to taxes anyways\n\nI can give many more reasons but this is getting too long

Should the students be allowed to stay in Canada? No. Will they be allowed to stay in Caanda? Probably, because we have a weak capitulating government that's hell bent on destroying Canada..

Sorry, my parents immigrated to Canada in the 80s from communist Poland and they never received a penny of assistance from the government or taxpayer. Immigrants are supposed to come with a skill set they can sustain themselves from. canada is very cold and expensive, nothing grows , no agricultural product therefore blaming the government is not a solution. in india we have a lot of agricutural product thus cheaper in india. not the housing but the food .

No non Canadian citizens should be protesting in this country. Most of them are not here for education. They want jobs and our employers hire them because they are cheap labour. Hello I'm a Christian. I think it's unacceptable to want more Islam in a Judeo Christian country. The secular government has already abused Christians in many ways, so much so that Christianity in Canada is dwindling. So basically the differences are minor. No wonder many foreigners think of Canada as US 2.0. Because if you need to differentiate Italy from Austria, the difference is obvious: different language, different culture, different architecture, different traditions. You won’t see that in US and Canada. And no one cares what forms of government these countries have. That’s not what makes you a distinct nation. This video reeks of Racism, laws (if they want to be fair) can never retrospective in nature/application. All the students who are already in Canada should have the option to be eligible for a PR, they (the Indian students) went there for a better life, they have their entire existence dependent on the fact of becoming a Canadian citizen eventually. Deporting them would be a loss for India as well as Canada, as many of them will end up with depression and feeling of failure. \n\nThe Canadian government must allow these student who are already in the country to apply for citizenship and make citizenship and PR rules stricter going forward. From what I know, Sikhs are upstanding and outstanding community and great addition to any society, Canada will be much better off having them, than leaving them in a bad state by deporting them.

Believe me canada is the easiest country to move from India and the cheapest one too. I'm glad i rejected to move to canada everytime they pitch me those ideas. So please do not hate indians. Indian government must take step to control immigration from india to west European country,america india itself cointain big big University and colleges so why are they going to other country according to me for residents visa and citizenship they are studying in canada and European and American country born in india now they gone to other country super? if india become rich country they will return to india itself that is going to happen in future.

Who in the right mind would come to Canada to study paying so much money in student tuition and not hope to become a citizen? Without worrying about covid they worked at every job. The jobs where Canadian resigned. As a child immigrant who came to Canada in the 90's, I can say this invasion of Canada ??. This government needs to be removed ASAP.

Our government is made up of backstabbing snakes. They all deceive us every time they open their mouths. I am speaking as an Indian, who lived and worked in Thailand for 2 years, and now will be moving to Europe on a specialist skills visa. Indians as immigrants have been a productive addition to any country worldwide, compared to other nationalities. But the only exception case is in Canada. \n\nThe reality is, in Canada, the majority of immigrants are only from a specific part of India (Punjab), and most of these people are deluded, uneducated and unskilled. You are 100% right, they are not there to upskill or even contribute. I can bet these people have not even lived in big cities in India itself, they come from villages and small towns and have never seen how modern societies or even cities work.\n\nI feel sad for Canadians because most of this is their government's fault. Canadian university taking official bribe from India or Pakistani or Bangladeshi students instead of checking their qualifications is the main problem to begin with. You can deport students. At least these students are better than refugees. Refugees, on the other hand, drain our wealth, get free bees from the government, and it's out taxpayers' money that is paying for all that. On the other hand, students pay more college fees than people for have PR status or citizens. Obviously, these students have a skill set, but because of Canada's faulty skill assessments, they do not land up with jobs in their own fields.

The tution fees paid by these students, is based on loans. Heavy loans which these kids take to study ,based on a prior acceptance by your government, that they will be able to work post their graduation to pay off these loans. Your universities also are to blame, as in, the universities charge a hefty tution fees which subsideses Canadian student tution fees,and , sustains your universities.\nAsk correct questions at the correct places.\nAs far as , Nijjar is concerned, he was a criminal and a terrorist. Protesting in another country where you are a student is not allowed and the act itself can get you deported. However, the scams the Canadian colleges and universities do in countries like India and Pakistan is terrible. These students pay almost double the money local kids do. They r most times highly qualified and have availed of an opportunity offered by these institutes. When such things happen, its obvious that they are unhappy. I think the Indian government needs to start issuing advisory. I don't think its worth it, I wish people understood this. The US, Germany/Europe,UK even Australia is much different. Believe it or not, a lot of these students wish to pay back student loans and get out of this scam. Canada is beautiful, but the amount of scams here, prepostrous.

It's not the fault of the student's. They pay a lot to get here and they work in the service jobs that many young Canadians do not want to work in if we even have enough native born Canadians. They are victims of the greed of Post Secondary institutions and the mismanagement of the Trudeau government. Take a look at the open immigration policy for people coming from Iran, Syria and Morocco. Last time I looked Iran was not a friend yet we open the door to these countries. No vetting, no security and no age limit. 70 plus years old coming to Canada on Work Permits. This will affect our healthcare. Indian students paid and worked for their chance to live here. Take a look. Investigate the special programs for different countries in the middle east.

Canada is a life hack for migrants. the government hasn't built enough housing or infrastructure for the 2 million people they let in in the past few years. any more than 250,000 new people a year is too much for our system to handle. the international students are a scam for mass immigration to grow Canada's tax base as fast as possible, to keep wages low for big corporations, collect tax revenue from people who don't know what Canada was like ten years ago.

This lack of foresight and long-term planning will not aid the relationship going forward.

And don't forget Canadians Sihks are demanding sovereign land in Canada if their Indian government doesn't appease their demands in India.

So sick of demanding students from Canada, let alone whiney foreign exchange students. Get lost! Government needs to stop the high influx of foriegn students. Our priority is housing, and healthcare for Canadian citizens. Rules are rules, temporary means you have to leave. And Pierre Poilievre you need to change your stance and concentrate on young Canadians first!

I thought everyone is leaving Canada voluntarily, I read so many news about how those international students complaining our government didn’t take good care of them, why don’t they leave Canada if they are not happy with Canada.

Foreign students should not be allowed to work in Canada. The fact that they are allowed to protest in Canada for Canadian rights shows their arrogance against a weak government.

Welcome to the joys of living in a regulatory entitlement state. Noone is blaming statism and collectivism for the evil these two philosophies have created in Canada. The only way out of this mess is not more state and more regulation, but quite the opposite--deregulate and privatize, deregulate and privatize. Shrink the government to the bare minimum, introduce market forces and competition, and let people take care of themselves.

What a joke when my parents came in Canada in the 50s they were treated like slaves. You had to go in a certain part of Canada and work your ass off to died. These people are coming in getting social programs from the government and even complain. What a joke, wake up Canada because these are European workers they’re from a Third World country where they can get a bite to eat. They’re happy here too, but bring their culture to Canada. We don’t need that we need people that come here and wanna be Canadians.
