As someone who has lived in europe and traveled allot. Most people really dont appreciate the positives in canada and have a false understanding on what it really is like growing up and having a family in most parts of the world. I think this video generalize too much. It’s like this guy asked 3 person what they think about a whole country and made a video about it. I’m Canadian, I just bought a house for 100k. I graduated from college with 0$ student debts. I had back problems that are now gone and paid 0$ for it, and i absolutely never waited more than 2 hours at the hospital. I’m living in a peaceful community between mountains and the ocean. I totally love living in Canada and i legitimately cannot comprehend the hate about it. I worked in a lot of different Canadians cities with different communities and everyone has good things to say about our country. I travel a lot and when I see how life is elsewhere, I’m always glad to be back home.

TLDR; I am an person from a wartorn, oppressive country, and I unfortunately do not have many options to choose from other than Canada to have a chance for a better life.\n\nLet me tell you from the perspective of a person whose dream is to come to Canada: I know all this already, I know things are going terribly and the cost of living has gone up significantly. But the unfortunate thing is, the country I am from, is currently in turmoil. I do not fit in there as a person and hate the culture. Its incredibly corrupt with no growth. I am more western, and open minded, and my original country is a strict Islamic country. I came to Canada as an immigrant in 2020 and immediately went back to my original country. However, I feel sorry for the nice people of Canada that unfortunately don't have other choices. You feel that the Canadian system is designed to make people poor.

Our primary issue is that we make it extremely easy for unskilled immigrants to come to Canada. But we put up many barriers to prevent skilled workers from migrating here.

I’ve been angry and pessimistic about how Canada, and my province Quebec are run since the early 00’s. It has gotten worse every year since then.

A lot of skilled immigrants are forced to do minimum wage jobs because because Canadian employers have a weird thing about “Canadian experience”. I personally know lot of qualified doctors who left because Canada doesn’t want to let them work.

I moved in Canada 18years ago. I agree everything has gotten more expensive, but everywhere is the same. Gas is more expensive than in US, but way less than in Europe. Healthcare is not as good as in Europe, but way better than in US. We don’t have firearms in free possession for people that prevents us to have tens of mass murders every year. People are still nice in general. We are able to choose our immigration way more that European countries. In fact, if you don’t live in big centers, you can get away with lower housing costs. So yeah, the grass is always greener elsewhere, or is it ?

What leave Canada? Answer: high taxes, horrible climate, stupid politicians, lack of affordable housing, massive debt, lousy public schooling, and a falling standard of living.
