I am 63 born and raised in Canada all my life and can honestly say that I have never been as embarrassed to be a Canadian since the pandemic where we let millions of immigrants come here take our jobs (with government subsidies) abuse of our free medicare system and have all their family members abuse it. They made housing unaffordable, impose their laws and religion and show total disrespect for Canadian culture. We lost this country to immigrants and corrupt government led by the worst PM in CDN history. Democracy has been replaced by a totalitarian state which has no respect for citizens rights...unless your an immigrant.

Then why does foreign-born population make up 20% of people living in Canada? Seems like lots of people want to live there (I wouldn't but that's because I don't like cold weather).

Trying to be politically correct is an interesting phenomenon. It's present all across Canada...but not so much amongst immigrant populations. It seems to be primarily a thing amongst Canadians with a native history in Canada. Canadians born to immigrant families don't necessarily share in this very much.

As a Canadian, born and raised, I am much more proud to be a Canadian than if I were to be a U.S. or U.K. citizen, given the way they are regarded in most of the word. I have travelled Europe extensively, Central America, as well as parts of SE Asia. \n\nCanada is indeed expensive and has become moreso because we too easily accept the rising prices, just so we can feel good being a Canadian. Tipping culture is ridiculous, even for bad service, many feel the need to tip 15% because of fear of being regarded as a cheapskate or avoiding offending the service provider. Companies should be paying their staff a better wage where 20%+ tips are not expected for every restaurant, cafe or delivery service. We're helping corporations make more profit by subsidizing their staffing expense. This isn't the case in most of the world. \n\nMy eyes were opened when I saw how you can live an equally good life at a third or less of the cost and I have grown open to the idea of living elsewhere once I have enough money to retire early (I'm talking around 55) and enjoy life without feeling cash-strapped. World class private medical care can be found for prices that are unbelievable and without the multiple appointments and wait times.\n\nI will always be a Canadian first, but there is room for a second citizenship or a backup plan should living in Canada become an impossible place to live or retire, unless you begin with a financial advantage. By no means am I poor, either. I got lucky with both real estate and stocks. Yet, I feel like I am working to just get by, while being taxed well beyond what I am getting in return.

Born in Canada, raised a family of 4kids . After seeing lock downs, explosion of home prices, rapid inflation, 75% tax rate overall ( income Tax, Sales Tax, Gas Tax, Carbon Tax, property tax etc…) , very poor health care system , decided to pack up and move to South of USA. Unfortunately I was born there and wasted 23 years of my life there...but I made up for it spending the last 24 in Japan. God works in mysterious ways. :D It's just fucked up that I own 13 homes in Japan and even if I sold ALL of them, I could probably barely afford a DUMP in Vancouver...or maybe just an old condo. Our government is in the immigration business. They know computers and robots are replacing workers but robots don't pay taxes (yet). They need to grow the population to keep the GDP up. Women entered the job market which raised the economy but lowered the quality of life and the number of babies born. No one is winning The only reason to come here is to make a better life for your kids and that's a maybe.

I was born in Canada, yet even I am tempted to leave it. Trudeau's both Jr & Sr have certainly ruined it (and probably forever). I'm not Canadian, so I'm very neutral on this topic, but I could not help to be perplexed as I listened to your long video, as I try to understand why are you still living in in Canada if it is such terrible place?! I guess it must be better than the country you were born in , when despite all of the bad things you talk about, you stay there.....

I left Toronto in 2017 (born and raised there, lived in Toronto for 35 years about). I moved to London Ontario, the cost of housing here is basically half of what I was paying in Toronto. I even took a $10k per year paycut for a new job and I still live better in London Ontario than I did in Toronto because in Toronto nearly my whole salary went towards living in squalor.. whereas for half of what I paid in Toronto got me a comfortable home in London. Unless you are wealthy, living in Toronto is lunacy.. you can live much more comfortably by just leaving the big cities like Toronto and Vancouver, even if it means taking a lower paying job.

I was born in a muslim country, but no longer practice Islam. But still Canada is becoming intolerable for so many reasons, lack of true freedom, inflation, the political corruption, the freaking rain, unfriendly ppl and lack of community, drug poisoning of our loved ones. Also during the Covid, I saw an absolute madness in this country, that felt like hell. I would love to leave too.

I just moved back to the United States after living in Canada for 7 years. I’m a dual citizen, born in Vancouver raised in the states. I am in agreement with all of this. The economy is terrible and the cost of living is unbelievable. My business suffered and realized I would never prosper in Canada. I’m lucky to have options.

Lol. As an American I laugh every time I hear Americans say they want to move to America, especially during a national election. I was born in Canada and could legally move there today. Hello Saleh Family, I am not a Muslim and never understand why people from Muslim countries decide to move to Canada. You knew well in advance Canada has winter, no Muslim culture and environment, no Arabic language, hijab is not welcomed, etc, etc. Why not to stay at Palestine where you came from, why not to move to countries with same weather, same religion, same culture, same language, be a Muslim majority at countries like Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia which is next door to country you born. It's simple. A huge number of mostly males from countries that hate the western way of life have been imported into Canada. They bring their tribal and violent ways along with them and refuse to integrate. This is where to the increase in crime is from and along with that we now have illnesses that haven't been seen in the west in decades. I can empathize with the young people in this video log, But the fact is that there is no ideal place in this world, for better or worse, you can say, which will conform to our religious social standards. Before you move to Dubai or any Arabic gulf countries, please know that you can live there for over a 100 years and have 3 generations being born and raised there, you will NEVER be able to attain citizenship, there is absolutely no way to do so, you will have to make a run for renewing your resident permit every year or so and so will your kids and great grand kids, maybe with a massive investment you might be able to procure a permanent residency but i haven't heard about anyone getting it though, so please research research research before you make a decision.

I was born here and im 72 yrs old. I love my country but i dont even recognize it from 25 yrs ago. Its like waking up in a night mare that just keeps getting worse. It breaks my heart to see this country turn into a 3rd world sh t hole. I fully understand why you would want to leave. If i had kids although im not Muslim i wouldn't want them growing up in this dysfunctional nightmare supoosed utopia . Its getting crazier by the day. I had 2 men on go to Toronto try and steal my bag ,off duty officer from uk said he saw it I moved so fast he didn’t get my bag and police officer tried to grab him white guy and black guy 29’s working together ,sit in handicap section safer ,I’m born in Toronto ,it’s the worst mess ever ,nothing like home ,Canadians born in Canada are just staying home ,look at union station dec 31 ,we were all scared \nWho are all these. Men ?\nWhat have we done crime is high I’m 70 getting picked in on a transit train at 2 om ,well I carry tasers now ,crime is out of control ,I know ,no where have I been more attacked since 10 yrs old ,all by immigrants strangely enough but union shows how many. Non men we had there mean men crowding and fighting ,well enough is enough ,we can’t even afford a place to live now. Because 65 per cent investors own all our housing ,you can have it ,I’m leaving

Good video and honest. As a born in Canada Canadian I agree that making friends here is tough. Not sure why. The taxes suck. I have lived abroad in Asia and South America and had a much higher standard of living than in Canada. Not sure why people want to move here since I want out.

I am indonesian, but i’ve lived in Japan and the US for study purpose, and i relate to your experience. Eventhough i had a strong moslem community when i was in Japan/US, and halal food was accessible there, i was still feeling uncomfortable that as a moslem i couldn’t express my identity freely. Whenever i wanted to go for a roadtrip or place outside of my city, i need to search if halal food was available in there or not, while in Indonesia i don’t have to worry about halal food, almost all food are halal, the restaurant usually inform us if their are not halal. Another experience is that in non-moslem country, they didn’t provide many prayer rooms or mosques, that’s also sickening for me. I mean i don’t mind to pray in a random parking lot, or in a park, or in an emergency stairs, or in changing room in mall, or any random places; but i really missed my country where prayer room is available anywhere, you can find prayer room in gas station, in a restaurant, in the mall, in airport/bus station/train station, etc. Also mosques are everywhere too. You are easily going to find mosque after walking around 200m, well yeah there is a reason why Indonesia is a country with the most number of mosques in the world. Another thing is islamic class. When i was in Japan, i could only join an islamic class where people gather to listen from syeikh (or we call it as “pengajian”) once in every other months, in the US was better, mosque in mu place held islamic class every other day. However, in Indonesia, islamic classes are everywhere, it’s like every mosque held their own class, until to the point that i am confused what should i follow because there are so many options ?. The last is that, in moslem country or at least in my country, finding moslems outfit is very easy. So yeah, overall, i prefer to live in moslem countries. Alhamdulillah i was born in moslem country, and alhamdulillah my country’s situasion, eventho not perfect, is peacefull.

Immigration needs to slow down.. Born and raised and it's. A mess now. Ontario is like India now.\n\nCost of living in Canada I 1985 to 95 it was cheaper than the US, UK etc\n\nShortage of housing is due to to multi family families in one house that have 6 working adults to pay a higher mortgage vs a 2 parent two child family (ownership for them no longer exists in Canada sadly)
