I think this video is interesting because many people are upset about the direction Canada is heading because they are trying to make it accommodating to people like you. Your reasons seem very tone deaf and hypocritical. You point out negatives about Canada but seem to only say positives about other countries. How can you criticize Canada's humanitarian policies but glorify places with literal slaves? All your points seem bogus other than of course your weather preference. Bye. We won't miss you.

I regret moving here 17 years ago - don't know how I've managed to stay this long. Toronto has changed me... and not for the better. This place will make you bitter, you'll have no friends (or shallow, money-hungry ones) and there's no sense of community. Your workplace will be toxic, you'll work long hours for a boss that treats you like crap and pays you less than you're worth. You'll be underpaid, and not valued or appreciated. You'll wake up in the dark to go to work in the freezing cold and come home in the dark, in the freezing cold. You'll live in an expensive tiny box in the sky with disrespectful neighbours (and their barking dogs). The 'unhoused' and addicts will hang outside of your building, begging you for money and smoking crack/weed. The stench of urine and poop on a hot summer's day (the 3 months of it that there is) will make you want to heave.\n\nAnyone thinking of moving to Toronto should seriously think twice and do LOTS of research. There are so many BETTER cities in the world - choose wisely. Don't choose Canada.

Basically you're arguing against multiculturalism, just without realising it or at least not expressing it that way.\n\nAnd although im a traditional liberal left winger, I've come to agree actually, I would hate for Canada, which is a largely secular country built upon judeo Christian beliefs end up something else entirely just to appease one particular religious group.\n\nI lived in the middle east for almost 6 years and it was a fascinating experience as well as rewarding from a career and financial perspective.\n\nOf course I had to comply with local cultural norms, which I absolutely did as I'm a respectful person but had I not done so I would have been shown the door / the inside of a prison cell. If I started complaining that Islam was homophobic or arguing about the hijab that would not have gone well for me.\n\nI think in the West we need to start being much more explicit about our values - such as freedom of speech - and not lose them down to a woke fear of offending minority groups.

If I am not an oldie, I would leave canada as well. This country is not what it is used to be. Also, I think the opportunity is very limited here as jobs wise or for invested in business wise. This country is only good for oldies with money to move in . Cause at least the air is fresh, the living pace is slow, so you can walk a lot slower. As for young one, the opportunity is very limited. If I had won a big lotto , I probably would leave right away even at my age.

Great video! Here's my 2 cents: The Social scene is a Western thing. Difucuty meeting friends is a well-documented thing about Vancouver. I think it's because Vancouver has three large ethnic monocultures, and they're all preoccupied with money. West Coast is lifestyle over the social scene. At the same time, Toronto is much more diverse culturally and economically, and culturally, it has a more outgoing social norm. The housing crunch is partially driven by supply and demand, at least not here in greater Vancouver, where I can see hundreds of brand-new condominiums and townhomes empty or for sale. The real issue is the lack of affordable housing. I've lived in Canada my whole life, and im also considering leaving.

I think you making the best decision and take all the Muslims with you, why Canada adjust to your life leave please.

Before moving please make sure what you would be doing in a new country for living? Will you be able to manage until you pickup your earnings. I don't think it's just a Toronto problem. It's Canada problem. All new immigrants that is brought by our government are settling in Toronto and Vancouver. That's why rent prices are ridiculous. Yes I have thought about moving out of of Czechoslovakia before as well as later after separation in two states from Czech Republic. I do think about that now too from similar reasons like you intend to move out from Canada. I have reverted to Islam in August 2022 but practicing Islam and wear ?is difficult here. Are you both Palestians? I think not. Therefore you are going to move your children to a non-democratic corrupt muslim country due to perceived crimes against a group of people who share your religion, but you have no contacts with. There are no effective democratic muslim majority countries. Should I make family decisions based on Christian ethnic cleansing in North Africa? Should I worry about the massacre of Coptic Christians in Egypt? Your children will regret your actions and will understand why your parents or grandparents moved to Canada in the first place. I left Canada in 1990 and in multiple times back visiting I saw the quality of life declining. But most there didn’t notice much like the frog in the pan of water you keep heating up. Now it’s apparent to everyone and yet Canadians are so deluded by their media they can’t figure it out and think everywhere is like there or worse. When I tell them they are living in a ?hole they don’t believe me. So it keeps getting worse.

I've been in Ottawa for 8 years (2007-2015), and was was a great period of my life. It's sad to hear that Canada has deteriorated that bad. Any how, if I were you, I would think of Malaysia.

You want to live in Toronto, the third largest city in North America on average salary? I think that’s an unrealistic expectation when you compare the rent to cities like New York and Miami. I think given its current size and growth trajectory, Toronto is still on the affordable size and it will get much more expensive in the future. I visited Toronto and the GTA area, all you can see is new construction, businesses packed with people. May be Canada bit more than it could chew and the economy has not grown since COVID making inflation pinch even more. My only problem was due to the rapid expansion, the city seemed to lack a soul which comes through organic growth. All I could see was broad highways, residential areas packed with housed and large shopping complexes.

I appreciate the way you present the reality. One way to cope with salaries and taxes is to open you own enterprise. This is the canadian way of growing fron a wealth point of view. As a person leaving from a salary, it is still possible to grow depending on your skills. But beggining your own business to exploit your skills will make you 'fly' to the next level, which is the actual way of growing. It took me a lot of years to realice this. Just think about it, provinces allow medecins to incorporate what means that they will pay less taxes and become richer sooner. This is just my thought, other people may think in a different way, I just try to give positive ideas.\n\nSecondly, Canada is still a country to live in a bit better than other countries considering many things happening around the world. Crime and economics is worst everywhere also. But, it all depends on what criteria counts for you. About society, it's not easy to make real friends except other inmigrants that need it too. I moved to Vancouver from the UK, but moved back home to the UK. Struggled so much to make ends meet. However, thinking of moving back to Canada to a different area to give it another go. Who knows what will happen, but it has similar problems to the UK I find.

I think these problems have come to plague almost all big cities in the developed countries in the last decade. Canada, like Australia, the UK,, USA, NZ, Netherlands etc is still cursed with the millstone of the failed political ideologies of the last forty or so years. These mitigate against the solutions: the end of mass immigration and a huge home building program. Expensive housing is the root of the problem.

I think Islamic environment is your concern i would recommend Jeddah or qatar me and my husband have also planned moving out of Canada once we have enough funds

I totally agree with your assessment, however this is my home and I will work to make it better. I’ve travelled to other parts of the world and completely understand that Toronto (and for that fact, Canada) is in a declining position, especially when compared to many emerging countries. It’s sad but I really think that the US Canada have peaked, many years ago. BUT will I move - no. I will travel and Toronto will always be my home. Great video btw.

I've been living in Toronto for 2 years, and I would say Toronto is one of the most overrated cities. I'm from Japan, Osaka and lived in Tokyo awhile as well. I lived in San Jose and Seattle for a while. I'm convinced that Toronto is the worst city TBH or probably Canada is perhaps not as cool as people expect. People say Canadian health insurance is pretty decent compared to American health insurance, but I think Canadian medical system's getting broken, and sooner or later it's gonna be like American medical system unless they pay extremely high taxes.

I think you guys are making the right choice...there are plenty of Muslim countries to move in to..so instead of trying to change Canada to suit you better you would move to a place that already suits you.. glad for you to make a good decision for your family.

Who cares why you left... Canada is a great country and not so far gone to have it back on the right track. Sure everyone likes to bitch about something, it's human to complain when your having a bad day,week, or month. Even in the darkest times humans find the ray of sunshine and start to chase it knowing that it will be better in the future. To make a video that you had to leave ...who cares, your mom or family or friends. Did you think about the thousands of Canadians who went to war to fight for what you have today? Respect is lacking for many young people in many countries. Canada needs to stop thinking it has to fix all the problems immediately like some fix it pill. Band aids are for first aide not solving complex issues. All the difficulties in Western countries as a practicing Muslim. My wife wants to move to Canada & she always keeps pressuring me to take steps to move on to Canada but I am not that much interested for the same reasons you mentioned here. My sister lives in Saskatoon & she wants to help me with the relative points to move to Canada. I always try to make them understand my views. But they don't understand. However, the quality is rather inferior to HKG or even in Maindland China. The Dentistry is not free, by the way. and other specialist, such as Protates (Yes, for aged man like me ), the quality (cure results) are really 2 levels down. To my disappoiment. \n\nThe Taxes and service charge make up the bill almost 30% extrate, while in in NY State, it could be half of it. \n\nTThe Canada now is NOT a country, it is another state of America, Canada has been administrated as a genocide government but it keeps barking on the world about others but seldom think about herself of all the wrong doings. You moved to Canada at the worst time, this is rough for everyone now, well because of politics and stuff. BEFORE 2016 life was great! I was able to buy a house in GTA, find jobs no problem, lots of jobs even during 2008, make good money to rent and save for house. And go out every weekend wow! How about now? You are lucky if you can find a place to rent! Current gov really messed things up! Too bad new comers will just think this is normal, and now know how bad the gov made it for everyone and still making it worse with making up new taxes making everyone poorer, except themselves.

It was nice watching your video. You asked for a suggestion. In your case, I think the best place for you to settle down would be Turkey. \nThe main problem you will face there would be the language. I think that is a big problem initially, but it is easy to learn a language, before going to that country. Once you are there, it will be easy for you to pick it up, because you will be forced to use it every day. The rest of the points you raised will be resolved. The weather there is not as cold as it is in Canada. Most of the population are Muslims, so you will find the required atmosphere to practice your belief freely and safely without worries or fear. When it comes to people, they are friendly and nice in general. Remember wherever you go in the world you will find good and bad people. This is life. \nThe 2nd choice would be US. They have various of mixed nations. Language will not be an obstical. But, there are many Muslims there. Some of the states have very big Muslim communities. i was talking with a coworker today who had a good job in brazil , farm , house etc . he sold everything he had to bring his family to canada . now he dosent own in canada and has no savings driving an old vehicle that barely runs . i’m just like why are people like this struggling so much in a country that once was easy to find jobs and make good money ? my advice is if your doing good where you are don’t think the grass is greener on the other side .

I came to Canada in Jan 2022 on permanent residence from India and returned back to India in November 2023. My reason to move to Canada was, I moved back to India for personal reasons after living in USA for 10 years (studies + work). I moved to Canada because I missed US, and thought it was difficult to adjust in India, and US would never give me green card anyway (due to country of birth quota). I moved to Canada with a job in hand, but opportunties are limited here. On top salaries are low, even compared to India. Healthcare is a disaster. In US, I could see a doctor next day. I had 4 surgeries done in US, multiple CT scans and countless X-rays. Never had an issue. In Canada, despite paying high taxes I fear of not able to get medical treatment and wait for months to see specialist. \nSlowly I realized, this country is not USA anyway and was naive of me to think of it as a viable replacement. I ended up returning back to India, as in end I realized India has issues, Canada has different ones but in India at least I can earn well (70 to 80K CAD while 2 BHK costs me like 500 CAD per month, 300,000 CAD for luxurious 3.5 BHK) and I can be close to my parents, the reason for which I left US. I will always miss US though. As long as I have family in India, I will never think of settling anywhere else. But the only country I would ever consider in future is USA.

My parents immigrated to Canada from Romania when I was nine and I have lived there for 20 years. I can’t remember ever really liking it, but I was made to believe that I was so lucky to be living there but always felt like it wasn’t the place for me. I just couldn’t find any other country where I actually felt good until a Moroccan friend convinced me to visit his country and I fell in love! I think from the moment I started planning my trip there I had already fallen in love with the country! For four years I kept going back until I finally had the courage to settle there! It’s been almost 7 years and I still love it as much as in the beginning (with all its pros and cons, because obviously there are also plenty of cons like in every other country, but the beauty and the people’s kindness and warmth far outweigh any of them:)

If you are sick and mediocre, Canada is a great place. Canada has no rights and the political system is solely controlled by the Americans and British. Racism is bad here…if you are not white or Indian, stop thinking of any promotion. Trudeau and his government have promoted only Indians to high ranks.
