Disturbing! This is criminal behavior and what makes anyone think these people will make decent US Citizens?

We pay 40 to 45% in taxes aside from property tax, expensive housing, utiities and food. the current government ruling is the main reason people wanting to leave Canada. you can not blame them just when they think they have seen it all the government adds new taxes(Carbon) we pay all these taxes but we get our garbage picked up once a week!? when a thief steals from you here the police tells you report it yourself online!? there is many problems here but the government pushes to teach little kids sexual contents!? I guess dividing people is the key to rule without challenges.

I am a Mexican living in Mexico, I have visited Canada on several occasions and I think it is an excellent place to live. The part I don't understand about this report is: if people are leaving Canada, why is the cost of housing still high? In my opinion, the people who are now leaving Canada realized too late that they cannot afford the standard of living in a country like Canada. The same would have happened if they had emigrated to England, France, the United States or Germany. The phenomenon has more to do with the value of work than with Canada. In the last two decades the value of unskilled work has plummeted, no one can live in a moderately developed country with an unskilled job, to make matters worse, now white collar jobs have also begun to disappear. Society is simply transformed again and the effects of this transformation begin to be noticed first in those countries where life is more expensive.

Im Filipino. You have a no-nonesense style of unraveling things about living in Canada. My brother in law and one newly graduate grandson are aiming for that place. Of course, inspired by their preconceptions about that country. But watching this entirely sure will give people, especially young professionals reason to pause and reassess their thinking towards Canada. It’s a zhithole, cheapest house in poorest province is 300,000 while salaries are 45,000 a year where you take home 30,000 in a year for high taxes but people are so stupid that just won’t stop immigrating cuz they think is just like the US where you work hard and you are rewarded. Canada is not. The more you work the higher taxes you pay. Life is expensive , housing is in crisis and healthcare is gone. But philipinos indians and Africans won’t stop coming here thinking that lifestyle is similar to US where only cultural and languages are shared. Quality of life it’s worst and worst every year. I blame the People in Power.. I blame the lack of housing on the people, so many opportunities to become a contractor and build many project's.. Canada is a mess for sure but we are not giving up.. We don't live in Canada anymore. Here in Ontario, I feel like a minority and living in India. I'm honestly hating this country lately. I'm not being racist only stating the truth. I've never met such rude ignorant people like people from India. They think their ? no stink.

Canada is a vast country, but its population is based in a handful of metro regions. All the immigrants and students are coming to these highly populated areas where there is a lack of housing and jobs. Everything is a lot more expensive these days. No wonder many people are thinking about leaving this country.

Part of the problem is outside Canada, people seem to think Canada only has two cities and two provinces which happen to also be the two cities with the highest housing and rent prices. It is partially this lack of research and knowledge is driving up their demand and therefore prices.

I mean each country has its own problem, it is just about balancing the pros and cons. Also people should do some research before moving to any country that whether they will be able to survive or not. Something people don't think before moving to Canada and then they return back to their country dissatisfied.

Job market is sluggish, Salary not comparable with US, House Rent are so high, buying a house is a distant dream, inflation is high, education standard is poor kids learn more of LGBTQ+ than math or science, infrastructure not spread out like US, concentration is only in Toronto and within 20 km radius, high cost of living for eg. ridiculus auto insurance premiums, groupism & racisim. I dont think people blend in, healthcare serious wait times. I know no country is perfect but Canada lost its charm in recent times because of politics like in India. Overall US is still better but has its own problem like mass shooting & rising cost of living. If you get lucky US is the right option for now compared to europe.

I think it is the quality of the immigrants that come to Canada that needs to be analysed. If too many low skilled or people with unemployable skills are granted visas, then any country, let alone Canada, would seem like a tough country to settle and earn. Canadian govt seems to be lenient in allowing too many unemployable ppl to get into the country. This has resulted in an imbalance. It just needs a strong govt which Canada lacks at this point in time. 90% of the problems can be solved within 4 to 5 years if govt stops or regulates visas.

Salary are low (while cost of living is skyrocketing), which is why we have so many Canadians and immigrants who are becoming so anxious, depressed and facing all sorts of mental problems), people are moody, quality of life is decreasing and transport is trash compared to France and the lack for doctors is making this country look like a third world\nEconomy!!! Even Canadians are happy to leave this place (poor weather, lousy healthcare, lousy retirement compared to places like France, lousy transportation compared to most of Europe, worse mental health services than Europe, people are too serious and take things so seriously compared to the French) and honestly, we think of leaving it too for another country.. that you can trust me! You should tell us how many Indian immigrants actually went back to India . Not many . I have seen 20% interest rate here and you think 5% interest rate is high . Indian community is the richest immigrant community in North America . People move to United States and move back to Canada which is normal . 17.5% left Canada but 82.5% are still here , what does that tell you ? There is housing shortage and that will be solved in time . A lot of these problems are caused due to covid shutdown and excessive immigrants coming from India . Question should be asked why so many leaving India ? In 2021 and 2022 , about 900000 Indian immigrants came to Canada and 2023 will likely be close to half a million . We Indian may not like cold weather but we are very comfortable in inside house . So far this year I only had to shovel snow twice and not for months . There is no shortage of job opportunities but One need to be flexible of courier . Canada still tops in most standards and consistently in top 10 among all countries of the world .

Theirs no prosperity in Canada anymore as you would think, big businesses,had crushed small businesses, small businesses are destroyed by red tape and high taxes, buying a home is only available to people with significant salaries and high paying job, and internet insurance, all extremely high. I'm so glad to finally see people talking about this issue. I'm originally from Africa, but I was raised in the US, so spent most of my life in the country (35+ yrs). And, I felt this deep loneliness even as a child. I would cry whenever we went back home to visit and it was time to go back to the US, and I would be really depressed for quite a while after getting back to the US. I never felt that life was normal, and everytime we met a new immigrant, I remember thinking to myself, even as a child or teenager that they just don't know the trap they are getting themselves into. Kudos to you for speaking up about this.

Instead of showing (only)big grocery you should’ve also shown big bank companies and big cell phone companies (to name a few).Also Canadians are politically ignorant and therefore tend to elect people who themselves are independently wealthy and are clueless to the problems you have listed (Alberta N/A).On top of these things Canadians are taxed to an extreme degree and actually believe that if they pay more taxes the planet’s climate will become cooler.And apparently they think that’d be a good thing!

Yes. Canada is not like what used to be as a good country to immigrate to in mid or late 1970s. Unfortunately, job opportunities, salary, wages have not kept us with high cost of living in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Also, road infrastruture have not kept 12:12 up with population growth. People should do research, check out more before immigrating to Canada these days. If you are moving to Canada for peace and political stability, then yes. Otherwise, think twice! Also, the requirement for Canadian employers to ask for Canadian experience has existed since at least the 70s. But it is absurd and stupid for employers to ask job applicants for Canadian experience since the world is highly interconnected through internet these days. Provided you are working in western world or English speaking countries, job functions and management styles are basically very similar whether it is high tech industry, banking, investment companies etc.

Cost of living has gone up due to immigration, plain and simple. The increased market demand from immigrants is not being met by the supply, which means the market inflates. This is economy 101. If there is something people want (housing), the more people who want it and the less of it there is, the more it will cost. Its now impossible for a low to moderate income person to buy anything. The price of everything just keeps going up up up. Rent in this small town was 400/500 a month in 2015, that same place today runs 2 thousand,and for the first time ever I see, people living on the streets. The reason so many on the streets? Minimum wage 17.45 an hour, rent 2 thousand, do the math, do you want shelter or do you want to eat? We have the government thinking that the average wage is 70 thousand a year. How do they come up with that number, if you add the billionaires and millionaires to the equation the average worker looks to be better off. I would not recommend anyone to come to Canada.

let's be honest as an international student I am in awe of how some internationals can study in Canada when they can't even speak English properly .. when I came here I needed to pass IELTS and get a band 7 for everything all my documents and transcripts were directly sent from the official email of my institution. I need to pass an exam before enrolling for my course, I have criminal, abuse registry, and child registry checks in my country and even when I am in Canada. Did all the immunizations needed and abide by their law i need to submit all these documents every 6 months access. to the policy of the program I am doing. And as an international remember you are coming to Canada they have their own culture so you need to respect and adjust to it, not Canada adjusting to you... even though Canada is diverse they have its own rules so yes adapt to the place where you are. And to them blaming the agency you the people who are using them knew exactly what they were getting into now you are complaining I did all my applications through DIY as IRCC is a direct applicant why need agents for application. Ircc should also question why a person needs an agent to process their applications. If they can't understand basic instruction and basic legal matters would you think those students will be able to survive the education system here in Canada? let's be real a lot of students are taking short-term courses, short like 8 months, and yes to get PR (I wouldn't lie cause that would be hypocrisy all international students have that aim, and if you say no just stay in your country). Now this a lesson to IRCC that they really need to make a thorough background before offering a PR permit ..and please when you are in public speak English respect the people around you... and don't speak too loud in your language when you are in working places.. uphold professionalism again remember you are in Canada a french English speaking country. And don't start with me about being racist.... cause it is plainly common sense.
