I see some racist comments\nBut here is the thing, why are u mad? Were you ambitious enough to start a business? Work very low paying jobs? Are u hustling? \n\nHow can u be mad at proactive people. Brampton tons of Indians.. ok.. so u have Indians who want to make a good life for themselves and their families? They invested and started businesses bringing money into the city and country?\n\nHow can u complain about them taking ur jobs, when u don’t want those jobs in the first place.. do I want to serve Indian food? Work at an Indian job recruiting office?\n\nI’m sorry.. but I really hate seeing blind racism assuming everyone is a freeloader. Starting business in Canada is beyond expensive. Don’t be mad that people are willing to grind.\n\nYou be busy putting up rainbow flags and yelling at each other about pronouns, vs others keep their head down and work hard open businesses and just hustle.

Four generations of my family have lived and been born in Toronto but I feel zero ties to what it has become. I see many videos now listing the serious issues with living there but the icing on that cake is the crushing taxes on everything from income to groceries to every service. Yes there are other western cities with problems, but the taxes you pay to for the privilege of living with those problems in Toronto are extraordinary.

Seems you’re omitting the main reason here. It’s the freaking Indians. They’re destroying the livelihood of everyone here. They’re moving to every provinces & fraudulently occupying all the homes. They’re buying these houses & putting all their extended families in them. They can’t drive & this makes the prices of Insurance go up. The govt is indulging them. Your takes on the state of affairs seems to stem from outside statistics which are influenced by the govt. The truth is missing.

My family emigrated to Vancouver about 20 years ago from Singapore like you do. That was one of the best gifts that I can give the family. Canada is one of the most livable place in the G7 countries. It maybe hard to start like everybody else. Canada can make you a complete person while Singapore make you half a person because lots of nature and beauty not there and with no voice to speak and resolve your life in Orchard road and malls only. That why you should live in Canada.

The Mexican government lets this happen as it releases them of a poverty /population problem and these people clamoring to enter the YSA at any cost will be sending dollars back to Mexico to the families they left behind. Shame on the Mexican government for not wanting to better the lives of their own people. I feel VERY sorry for the customs officers in the USA trying to keep them out. They need reinforcements. I’m certainly NOT pro trump but I do wish Biden would be more decisive about the border control.

I think people who leave the country is because don’t have the skills that required for the high cost of living specially in the biggest cities like Vancouver ,Toronto ,although Montreal was less expensive to live in compared to the others ones, \nNew immigrants coming to Toronto finds almost impossible to find a reasonable accommodation due to the high demands for housing ,family’s ‘re the most affected, One big reason some people are returning home is because the minimum wages at 18 dollars an hour -40 hours work , 2,880.00 dollars, minus tax, take home is 2,448.00 taxable at the rate of 15 %, , now your rent for one bedroom ,600 square feet cost $2.000 dollars a month , leave you with 448.00 to cover food, transportation , and utilities, at the end you haven’t save any money , So what to do just go home

What is missing is that many leave after getting Canadian citizenship. So it is a two edge sword...stay in Canada for the prized citizenship. I think those who leave with that are just using the system...short term pain, long term gain...also these issues about Canada are not new...anyone thinking the streets are paved with gold are not paying attention. Also much immigration is family reunification. Also, when one leaves were are they going to go...not the US these days...

I came here on 28 August as international student in Vancouver from India and just after 4 days I left canada on 1 sep and came back to india. It's shocking to say within 4 days I returned back, canada is not worth it, people from all world are mixed there it causes problem of fights and #other matters, survival is difficult and cold conditions, that's why population is less there, it is aim of govt that's why attracting migration towards canada but not worth it, we're going there by leaving various things in home country such as home, car, family, nation, property this is foolishness by leaving all utilities of life and to start again from zero in Canada it is big foolishness aslo by leaving nationality, doing struggle of just settling, In my view , we have limited time in life, we're having things and doing hardwork to do those things agin in other nations, its better to do in own country. It doesn't matter opportunites are there in Canada etc, every nation has opportunity, you're from Singapore it's best country do there not leave nation, everyone not have to migrate all have to do in their home countries. In comparison of my country india, canada gone too back from India serioulsly, food is not fresh there freezed fruits same fruits and veges in stores for months, if you like this then reply back I can share my personal and known friends ground REALITY experiences with you..

I would have suggested ?????? for diversity and tolerance and quality of life and the $$$ you bring with you going very very far, but our crime is sky high and our government leaves a lot to be desired. My parents migrated from Pakistan to UK in the 1960s, they were the minority Muslims, but pioneers in establishing mosques, halal food in all educational establishments, many work places and major food outlets in majority Muslim areas. They also established Salah places in work and education and public buildings, and also the rights to practice your faith and take time for Salah in working hours.\n\nNow, my family are the fifth settled generation and alhamdolillah, we have many madrassas, islamic schools, and children becoming Hafiz. \n\nWe live in harmony with non Muslims and many are converting daily, the question is if there was no Muslims, how would the Deen be shown and expand in non Muslims countries. Even our Sahabahs went into the world to teach and expand our beautiful faith Islam.\n\nMany Islamic countries are only Islamic my name, they are the biggest contributers to the genocide, as they have not spoken up or helped their Muslim ummah in Palestine. You will also find many covert doctrines in their governments that you may not agree with.\n\nLastly, many Muslim children attend public schools and are being exposed to the LGBT community and we as Muslim parents are teaching them in our homes from a young age, that in islam there is only a man and a woman and no third gender and only a man can marry a woman.\n\nYou can have the best of intentions but you can wrap your children and one day they will be exposed to what is not Islamic, and they need to be taught how to deal with it and hopefully, by showing them their own Islamic values, hopefully also change people's perceptions as they come into Islam.\n\nMaybe, if you stayed in Canada, you could establish an islamic school for your children and other Muslim children to attend, look around where you live, see where you can establish prayer areas, talk to the mall managers and finance prayer rooms, talk to schools, public restaurants, and establish halal foods. Please look at what has been achieved in the UK and you are at the beginning of that in Canada, and think of the Islamic foundation you are setting the future generations of Muslims and also many more Muslims who may convert one day. insha'Allah

You’re 100% right, about all of it minus the rage. Id say Ontario and westward i agree but Quebec and east of there make a LOT less I’d say net 35,000$. And that’s the high end. A lot of people use to come here to build a new life as well as support their families back home. Now you can barely support yourself, god forbid you trying to support your own household. What’s the point when our government just punishes us more and more for trying to survive. I lived in 8 provinces it’s all the same bs. Alberta is the only semi possible place to make it anymore.

I’m a Christian with a very different background from this Muslim family, but we are planning to leave Canada for very similar reasons. This country has gone in the wrong direction and people of good faith are disturbed.

I formerly lived in greater GTA abd hadcto run away because I almost became homeless. I could not find a decent place to live in, affordability was a problem. So yes, there are cheaper places to live in Canada, but leaving family and friends is hard, but if you want a roof over your head that is the tough decision you have to make. I had two jobs and was still struggling.
