The amount of working age healthy people leaving this country because of this government funded crisis is appalling and the world is watching.

If people think they can just stop immigration or send anyone back, they are delusional. We need to better vet applications, cut down on asylum seekers, reverse international students back to 20 hours/week work, no one walks in from US and claim asylum. When someone comes to study, the focus should be studying and not working full time. Stop sending billions to other countries and start investing it on our housing, infrastructure and services. Give tax benefits to small businesses and startups. Strict gang and crime laws. Finally, stop giving free drugs to addicts and have better rehab and resettlement facilities. Above all, people have to stop thinking the dumb idea that anyone is being replaced or anything.

I wonder how many people watching this, realize that the reason that we have such high prices in Canada is that we have a government hell bent on destroying the energy industry. The price of goods is directly related to the cost of energy. When taxes make up more than the actual fuel cost it causes an inflation. When the cost of producing goods is increased by the cost of energy it causes inflation. Inflation caused by government is the number one issue in all western countries. The only way to slow inflation is to vote in governments that will focus on energy and not focus on green agendas.

As an international student myself I do not know how to help once I am done paying 3 times tuition fees and paying taxes 1/3 Rd of my income. When my birth country threatens me and people alike, and Canadians unwelcome me.. What choice do I have apart for being in a war with the whole world? At this point, there's no place to call home. Any idea would be appreciated.

And many young people think it's good.\nYes it's important to bring immigrants but lower your immigration requirements (low language requirements, loophole student visas etc) just to boost up the immigration volume will only bring you the wrong group of immigrants. I am an immigrant myself. I hate what other immigrants are doing in this country. Though it's true Canada needs people to help them SUSTAIN the economy, but it seems like immigration had not seen the effect of bringing too much Indians and Africans in the country, Most of them are not self-aware, they don't follow rules, they neglect people around them.

Before Canadian create a standard for foreign people want to migrate to Canada in terms of point system which involves education and other criteria in order to process application but now people are bypassing the system to easily come to Canada it took me 3 years before my application got processed why now just on student status can start apply for a job isn’t it the main purpose was to get education not job for Canadians. Who really fuck up on allowing this people come to Canada and mostly from India????

It's a double edged sword. The industry (fast food, food retailing, services) WANT those people, be it international students, refugees or other to work because there is insufficient response from the local population of young people. Even certain restaurants and hotels had to remain CLOSED after the pandemic, because they could not find enough people to work. The government covid money dissuaded the local population from working. It is a huge mistake to admit so many Indian students attending low-credentialed private colleges and then allow them to work 20-30 hours a week. Trudeau and Miller are to blame for this. But at the same time, there was a labour shortage due to the ageging population and the fact that people have fewer kids today. Canada should give greater priority to trained professionals in areas where there is a need, such as construction, education and nursing. People in India, China, eastern Europe and other countries can get very good training in technical colleges, but it is the wealthy families in these countries that don't want their kids working these jobs.

And now with AI we'll need even fewer workers but it's too late...they're in, and they can now bring in all their relatives. Canada is already gone...I was born and raised in Vancouver and it began right after Expo 86 with China flooding Vancouver. It's all part of the plan...it's planned to collapse. Not once in the history of Canada have we built more than 200K new homes, yet here we are with a 500K per year mandate on new immigrants, with last year bringing in 1.2M? How can you as a Government deliberately do that to the citizens of your Country?
