I have small business in vaughan \nEconomy socks \nTaxes fu**s up people to a level they don't spent \nInflation become so bad no one come to spend money anymore \nNo tourists comes to Canada only immigrants and poor ones \nThey tax business even to 40% of income wtf..\nLicense and legal requirements for a business makes any business don't want to open here \nI'm on tourist trip now while writing this comment \nI have been in saudi and Pakistan and romania , people spend more money in tourism countries so this makes small business survive during Inflation \nAnd so on...

Inflation is higher than what they say.. real estate prices are out of touch with the actual wages and salaries.. cost of food is unbelievable… rent is ridiculous.. Wages are laughable.. taxes are insane.. we are also taxed on so many things on top of income tax such as .environment, carbon, plastic, sugar tax etc… it is insane.. Healthcare is going through crisis… Getting MRI takes ages.. So now they wanna bring 500k in the midst of all this ? It is going to screw us more .. I also feel sorry for the migrants who are moving out here with lots of hope and ambitions… I also feel sorry for us .. stress = mental health issues….. This government screwed each one of us.. what they are doing doesn’t make any sense to me. They are out of touch with reality.. Can’t wait for the election and will never vote for NDP or Liberals.. they surprised me.. My quality of life went from good to bad and bad to worst..I love this Country.. and I want the best for us!!! ?

We can call it what it is - population replacement. There will be nothing left to discuss in 3 to 5 years. No amount of money printing will offset when the international students and temporary workers send their earnings overseas and leave a hole where the economy used to be. They are also not going to pay taxes to support an aging population that's left noting for future generations via inter-generational debt from boomer addiction to free handouts.

I am an international student, just wanted to ask Canadian people, why target international students, i am from India, i can guarantee that any Indian student coming to Canada brings at least 100k investment that directly gets used by the Canadian economy. My problem is why target us rather you guys should look for people who are coming to this country like refuse and use candian tax payer money and get all the benefits Canada offers, but us on the other hand we pay taxes like normal citizen. Just ask this question to each and everyone.

The entire thing is a lie. We don't need people...we're a Country whose GDP is built on Natural resources...Not Tim Horton workers. And now with AI we'll need even fewer workers but it's too late...they're in, and they can now bring in all their relatives. Canada is already gone...I was born and raised in Vancouver and it began right after Expo 86 with China flooding Vancouver. It's all part of the plan...it's planned to collapse. Not once in the history of Canada have we built more than 200K new homes, yet here we are with a 500K per year mandate on new immigrants, with last year bringing in 1.2M? How can you as a Government deliberately do that to the citizens of your Country? We were all sold down the river for new votes and tax dollars...and of course the eventual realignment for a one-world currency.

As an employer in a mid-skill company, late 2021 and pretty much all of 2022 were the worst times for hiring. You legitimately could not find competent people. Things have only gotten slightly better since then.\n\nThe problem is that few of the people they're bringing in can fill anything but low skill, minimum wage jobs. They don't have the education for more, their English language skills are questionable, and they often clash with the culture. And worst of all, they are financially supported by the government which provides the double whammy of increasing tax burden while also increasing product demand, which exacerbates the labour shortage.

They keep saying we need people to fill all these vacant jobs. And we need all these skilled workers. The truth is that there are NO JOBS. The government is Lying. And these people coming into the country DO NOT HAVE ANY SKILLS. Many are going to school here to get an education/skills. The idea is that they return home after they finish school. But that's NOT happening. They remain here and take jobs away from Canadians. They get hired over those who are Canadian. We all know this to be true. In addition while going to school here they bring in their whole family. Now it's costing the Tax Payer to look after these people. Many are older and require Medical Treatment, drugs, surgeries, etc. Immigration does NOT stimulate the economy. It drains our finances leading to bankruptcy. We are fast being replaced and our culture is being dissolved. Just look at other countries where this has happened like Britain, Ireland, etc.

Their was never a labour shortage but now they did bring in a excessive amount if people where their is now a work shortage and companies are hiring these immigrants at a cut rate just to fill the position because sure you may have to hire 2 or 3 too replace the position their taking but the government will give you tax breaks on hiring them and you onkt have to pay them a third of what you would have paid a actual canadian. You don't pay taxes as a full-time student, of course you can live off minimum wage, try paying taxes. You will find you need two part-time jobs to survive.

The tax code here is so dumb. It does not foster a healthy market; it is a means for locals to rip off those with assets. Canada was always an enpensive place to live. However it spiked about 5 years ago and is now out of reach (economically) in the last 2 years.\nGovernment taxes! The increases are unprecedented at all three levels (federal, provincial and municipal).

I moved to the US from Canada. No country is perfect but I prefer the US, much better if you are younger with a good degree /skills.\n\nMuch better job market and career growth opportunities, better weather, more variety, lower taxes and higher pay, much better to be paid in USD, so much more to see/do, way better flight options, most things from eggs to cars to houses cost less...just much more.\n\nOnly thing is getting permanent residency in the US is much more difficult than Canada, but US is where the growth and opportunities are.

Been working in Canada for 11 years now. Used to be a safe place to live but not anymore. The health care system is stupid, more more taxes, the rent is so high, everything is ridiculously expensive. Now i am sending all my money back home, and leaving Canada in a year

Canada wants young qualified immigrants sho do small jobs and pay heavy taxes to pay for the sick and ageing Canadian population and themselves live in perpetual poverty without owning a house, or get caught in the merciless mortgage payment system.
