I have a lot of family and Alberta, as well as some in Vancouver and Toronto. Growing up, I always idealized Canada and wanted to move there so bad, despite the fact that I had 1st hand experience with Canadians who often told me the negatives.I tried to move to Vancouver twice, decided It didn't make economical sense for me. Once covid happened, it really made me thankful that I never made a permanent move to Canada. I also have to remember that most of the time I've spent in Canada was during the summer, and I have to remind myself the weather is only that nice for a short amount of time, most of the year you're buried under snow (or rain if you're in Vancouver).

Agree with everything but only half agree on covid #6. I agree canada was extreme but so was all of europe, especially the south. Only sweden used common sense.

The golden age in Canada is gone. I graduated from a good university with a well paying profession and I’m jumping ship to move to China in September. It just doesnt make any sense to live in Canada anymore. I cant buy a home unless its in a province that is FREEZING. Thats not the life I want to live and there will be many more like me leaving Canada due to unaffordable housing. Canada has a very grim outlook and I wont be a part of it.

I wanted to move there it’s just too cold, I’m from Michigan. That Canadian weather hits different ?. But it’s somewhat strange to me that America and Canada open there borders like that. When every other country doesn’t want foreigners but there people stay coming to our countries make it make sense.

How are you going to take care of yourself food here is expensive rent is expensive utility bills expensive everything here is expensive, so how are you going to support yourself if you’re coming here with no money no resources it doesn’t make sense to me where the rest of us Canadians who live here are already struggling with high taxes. There are two other differences (which were not mentioned in the video) but which I see that exist between Canada and the United States, which are; 1- Canada has a public health system, while the United States does not, and 2- Canada has strict laws regarding access to firearms, while the United States does not, in that sense I like Canada better.

My work which is at a hotel just got a bunch of Puerto rican immigrants who are working and living at the hotel for free and they get paid and they treat all the other workers with disrespect and leave everything a mess and break rules constantly and can’t even talk to the managers and we’re all trying to be as understanding as we can be because I honestly can’t imagine going through immigration like that but still there’s no rules for them and meanwhile us other workers who are American and don’t get paid as much and don’t have the amenities that they do it’s just kind of a ridiculous situation in my opinion. There’s no structure or organization with it and it doesn’t make sense that we’re illegally transporting immigrants all over the us and giving them the free pass for most all things without even going through the legalization process. Like I can completely understand immigration and see nothing wrong with it when it’s done legally, but I don’t understand why we’re disregarding the people already in the long process of legally immigrating. I might just be very ignorant in the issue but that’s my personal take on the issue. It doesn’t make sense to me. I will say I have absolutely nothing against any person who’s an immigrant but just the rules and regulations surrounding the situation. I don’t mean to step on anyone’s toes or offend anyone.
