So if in Canada you earn $100,000 and pay 40K to taxes and you have someone in another country that makes 10,000$ and pays zero taxes, who is better off? \nand keep in mind, employees don't actually pay any taxes, they are paid by the employer. The reason that employee makes 100K is because the 40k in tax deductions. If the tax rate was zero, that same employee will be making 60K and will be in the same position financially wise. So tax rates are irrelevant in Canada. the higher tax rates is why people here make stupid high salaries. I know dummies with no education making 80-90K per year.

Great video!!! As an immigrant to Canada from then Czechoslovakia in the 1980, I can say that you are 100% correct in all aspects, my parents and I encountered these difficulties even back then. I stayed in Canada for 28 years, worked there, met my Slovak husband there and now we are living in Ecuador for the last 14 years - I love it here. It was impossible to live in Canada on one pension - I don't get a pension yet, so we live on my husband's - it is possible to do it here in Ecuador. Things have changed a lot in 6 year. In my very south Canadian city, just about 100% are Muslim or east-indian working here. Inside info reveals it is because refugees will work for no benefits. So many people born here no matter the race are unable to find work since the Pandemic (which is on going but not as severe, at least in the minds of most people anymore).

You're not correct about the Quebec government banning the hijab - actually they ban all forms of religious expression in clothes worn at work by public servants - so don't criticize us unless you get the facts straight. Taxes, well most countries require you to file your own taxes at the end of the year - what's so strange about that? Yes sales tax is added onto the sales price depending on what province and what you are purchasing, same as US, just because it's not the same in Europe doesn't mean it's worse! Listen, when you're a newcomer to any country you need to fit in when looking for a job, put in the effort, take the time, do the work, any country is going to expect you to be able to speak the language and know the lingo, so I don't agree with your analysis that Canadians are risk adverse! You are 100% correct about the housing crisis, listen it's been going on everywhere for decades, and international investors in the past 10 years or so woke up and noticed that Canada was a great bet for investment, so the problem got really bad. The government just passed a 2 year moratorium on non Canadians buying real estate - as have many other countries, so fingers crossed no more new foreign landlords just regular Canadians buying their first homes, let's hope so!! I've lived many years in Europe - and I loved it! But the quality of life in Canada is better. If you don't live in the crowded city you can have a nice property with lots of space, good roads, not bad school system, very friendly and helpful people. Being more than 100 miles from the US border does not make Canada unlivable, just challenging. The best part is being able to see a beautiful, expansive sky with stars.

Please stop making Canada sound like 'the frozen north'. Any educated person knows that this is a 'Seasonal' country. Our summers reach over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times and we can actually sunburn while sun tanning on these days. We water-ski, swim, boat and sail, golf, gold-pan, hike, bicycle, Motorcycle, camp, picnic, fish, sky-dive, drive, shop, tap for Maple syrup and thoroughly enjoy our Springs and Summers like any other normal person and country. Our Autumn's are glorious as leaves turn crimson and gold, with picking all kinds of fresh fruit, canning jars of produce, carving pumpkins for Hallowe'en, making and tasting wines. Our Winters, loved, with some of the best ski resorts in the world; skating rinks--Our skaters won Gold in the Olympics and some of the best Hockey teams, who have also won Olympic Gold, come from Canada. We still toboggan, go on sleigh rides, ice swim, build snowmen and make the occasional Snow Angel, just for fun. We have learned to deal with winter snows--they're called Snowplows, which are abundant and whose operators are extremely efficient! AND, we have miles and miles and miles of uninhabited land--a rare treasure now-a-days! We are Canadian and we love it!!????

Although you compare French in Canada and Spanish in the US, its a stretch in terms of influence and history. French in Canada is the founding language and is widely spoken in Eastern Canada, and the only official language in Quebec, and an official language on a federal level. In the US Spanish is mainly fairly recent spoken by immigrants from 20 different spanish speaking countries spread out all over the place. Spanish in the US is a foreign language..in Canada its the founding language (English was over 100 years later). If you want to do anything at the federal level in Canada, including being a politician, you have to speak both. For an American mentioning Spanish is like someone from France mentioning Arabic.

Canadians, especially professionals earn 20-30% less than Americans in the same job (with the exception of teachers and police which earn 20-30% more) and pay more incomes taxes. Prior to the election of Justin's father (Pierre), Canada had a very strong manufacturing sector, strong financial sector, we had a technology leadership position in many sectors, and a dollar that was consistently as stronger or stronger than the US dollar. When i went to Canada for my studies in 2015 at Fleming College, the class had only four international students. Three Indians and one Nigerian.\nIn 2017, the same class admitted 100+ Indian International students and 3 Canadian students.\nI left Canada in 2016.\nIt's not worth spending so much money to live in a Tundra, just to pay taxes.

At my university in Vancouver, masters were mostly Indian ? and even undergraduate is also like 100% International students. The difference is the school has several branches located in NJ, Canada, and the UK. I've never heard of a negative event happening though. interesting
