Name a city that doesn’t have its faults. My friend is from Japan shes came to Toronto the last two summers and she loves it and wants to move here. When I travel I always get a warm fuzzy feeling when I return. Again it has its problems but I love Toronto. Theres so many people moving here if some want to leave here for greener pastures awesome!

Toronto is an open insane asylum. Horrible people, woke beyond belief, congested, expensive, worst hockey team, no identity, full of condos with the worst waterfront I've even seen. No originality. People are pricks who get offended extremely easy. Not a fun city at all.

Nobody said this so I have to; Canada is a country like most western country sell hope for people; however many, not all who comes over these western country find themselves in a hard place; with broken family; broken kids, and just work, work, work, and pay pay pay... when they work all their life, and get old; most have nothing to show for; their kids are too busy for them, most end up alone in a nice place; eventually, they will realize all they have is a nice jail, and kids, and the Gov;t just wait to get all their asset when they past. Sad Reality. There was a time when one get old are surrounded by their family; kids, grand kids, etc... Its now gone!

While there might be wonderful places to see, and interesting people to meet and food to eat, I would never even visit there for more than a day or 2.\n\nSome times traveling by road, it is faster to drive through the states to get to other parts of Canada, and that level of visiting would be barely ok.\n\nYour government is actively making it unsafe to be alive there, for so many types of people. Unless you are part of the elite, making gallons of money, your government doesn't even want you to live. It's horrific.\n\nAmerica is bad y'all. Just so bad.

Hope you get your home in an Islamic country in the middle east. I really do not like the mixing of different cultures and more when Islamic people are so fundamentalist in their belief and lack tolerance to other people freedom. This is a good example of what differentiates a Canadian from a person who holds Canadian citizenship. Not that you're wrong about the state of our morally bankrupt secular culture and government, but that's something that I'm going to fight against. I'm not going to run away, because this is my country that my ancestors spilled their blood for, and it's still worth fighting for, at least to me. I and every other Canadian have no other home to flee to. As far as Canada not being Muslim-friendly enough, why should it be. This is a Christian country founded on Christian morality and Christian-based law. I'm not an islamophobe, but I do believe that our cultures and people should remain separate, as they are quite alien to one another in many ways and there's no getting around that. I don't want my country becoming more Islamic just as you don't want your home country becoming more Christian.

Canada can be a really hard place to live. Too many people competing for limited resources- story as old as time. But throw in large immigrant population whose culture is a mismatch for existing infastructure. You are going to get growing pains.\nBTW, the so called studies /polls/surveys are a joke. I lived in Pakistan for 5 years for medical school. As much as I appreciated it, I knew I could not settle there. You will appreciate all the little things once you move. You can get ripped off by utilities company over there. Unless you know someone in power you don’t stand a chance. The inflation there is much higher than here. Some days you can’t find any meat or other foods. Almost everyone is trying to rip you off. Also safety is an issue. I was young and dumb. I was never targeted but it happens to locals all the time. As a westerner they can spot you a mile away even if you dress like them. You’re complaining about the cold, wait till you feel the heat. Electricity goes out all the time. You need to know people and have family in these countries. You can’t get things done independently like you can in the west. Also there are very few jobs that allow for the standard of living you are used to. If you are willing to sacrifice 90% of what you have now then you might have a chance. Lastly, you will most likely have to put your children in an American school when you get there because they don’t speak the language and they will act like westerners. And hide your wife from YouTube for God’s sake. If you had a billion dollars would you broadcast it to the world?

Politically correct way of saying we don't want them either. I'm sure the palestinians love staying in gaza while the bombing is going on, and Hamas loves their people so much they keep starting wars with Israel and keep taking the palestinians resources every chance they get.

You want to live in Toronto, the third largest city in North America on average salary? I think that’s an unrealistic expectation when you compare the rent to cities like New York and Miami. I think given its current size and growth trajectory, Toronto is still on the affordable size and it will get much more expensive in the future. I visited Toronto and the GTA area, all you can see is new construction, businesses packed with people. May be Canada bit more than it could chew and the economy has not grown since COVID making inflation pinch even more. My only problem was due to the rapid expansion, the city seemed to lack a soul which comes through organic growth. All I could see was broad highways, residential areas packed with housed and large shopping complexes.

People have to stop using rental prices in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. That's like Americans using rental costs in Bel-Air California or Manhattan as an example of what rent costs in America. It's not a realistic portrayal of rental costs. \nHere in Quebec the the annual tax rate is between 26.53% and 53.31%, depending on income. Then you have to consider all the socialist programs that you are forced to pay into, which also sucks up a significant amount on your weekly salary. After that, you must consider that you pay 15% sales tax on almost everything. It's safe to say that half of your yearly earnings, give or take, are taken in taxes and socialized programs. As for salaries, less than 20% of the Canadian population make a 6 figure salary. We're not talking about household income. I am talking about individual income. You're not going to become rich here in Canada! The majority of people who do become rich leave Canada to avoid taxation. Canadians live a life of debt. You will live just balancing your debt to make sure it doesn't get out of control Few Canadians have money in savings without debt. The ones who do have money saved, most of them have debts on top of their savings which is counterproductive in my opinion.

Enjoyed your video and yes, you are likeable and skilled enough for sure. And what are the most popular countries they 'flee' to? We are Belgian, living on Vancouver Island since 2000 and I do feel you, many good points and we are certainly considering the 'leaving' option. Portugal comes to mind cause we do mis 'real' people, as you mentioned, hard to make deep, long lasting friends. Here I learned that every moment, encounter and meeting is unique and so to are the people you get to know, they vanish if you don't keep up. Back to Europe, not back to Belgium.

You haven’t mentioned that You can hire house help! For sure that’s not as cheap as South Asia countries! I find the video more negative about Canada. You have not mentioned about child benefits, all person pension benefits, tax benefits! People get high tax benefits as well! A lot more positives are here that are completely ignored here! Please do not discourage or pass your own judgement on a country which is continuously proving one of the best countries on the earth!

Great video. I'm from Victoria but have been living in Asia for 25 years. I have no idea how regular people get by in Victoria/Vancouver etc. I'm shocked how far Canada has fallen. It was probably a long slow slide but post pandemic Canada seems like a disaster. Singapore is so good I'm shocked you would stay in Vancouver or anywhere in Canada unless you are tied down somehow. I left when I was 30 as it just seemed so stagnant especially on the work/financial front and it just keeps getting worse and worse.

What are your efforts to get Palestinian people in peace and protection, to get them out of blockade, to stop the killing of the innocent lives mercilessly, to stop all and every type of torture given to them, do mention your efforts to have them access to clean water food and medications? I've been living in Toronto for 2 years, and I would say Toronto is one of the most overrated cities. I'm from Japan, Osaka and lived in Tokyo awhile as well. I lived in San Jose and Seattle for a while. I'm convinced that Toronto is the worst city TBH or probably Canada is perhaps not as cool as people expect. People say Canadian health insurance is pretty decent compared to American health insurance, but I think Canadian medical system's getting broken, and sooner or later it's gonna be like American medical system unless they pay extremely high taxes.

I left Brampton it’s getting over populated with Indians moved to qc they don’t come here because you need to know how speak French ???……. Most Indians came to Canada to getaway from Indian people and know you go to Brampton all Indians……..

Idk how everyone seems to be confused why we have so much homelessness. Israels national investment firm called black rock has been buying up American housing for years. They were very outspoken about their plans to buy everything, and hold onto it indefinitely while renting it out for very high rates. Every politician has bought 50 or more homes to do this with as well. Tucker carlson has a load of them, as well as every other tv personality. People from other countries stay 10 people per home, and collectively can afford much higher rates than americans living 1 family to a home, again driving rates ever higher. Government is soley responsible for the dollar becoming worthless so quickly. Wages will never keep up. The government makes more money by cramming as many people as possible into the country, directly at the expense of quality of life for the citizens. Nobody is protecting the interests of American citizens. We are all getting robbed blind by predators while we all appear to be blind deaf and dumb. Nothing happening is an accident. Every loser creates a winner somewhere.

It's obvious that you have never lived outside of Canada. Canada is probably one of the last countries in the world that accepts people for who they are and has a decent level of respect for belief systems. I get that you want to raise your children in a better environment, but trust me when I tell you this... you are walking into a world of disappointment. Canada itself is about 15 years behind other countries when it comes to this downwards spiral you are speaking of. Sadly, you will find out soon enough that this utopia you want to find, simply doesn't exist and you will discover you have left the variable comforts and safety of Canada behind. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but am simply sharing what I discovered when I searched for the same things. I think L. Frank Baum said it best.... if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. If you are lucky in life you will discover that the world doesn't stop turning for you, and that the world that you dream of for your children must be created from within. That being said, it is good to travel and trying different ways of living is a wonderful education for your children. This is a very thoughtful and balanced review. As a retired Canadian who had a good job for most of my life, I'm saddened by the decline in almost all areas of life, lifestyle and and people's aspirations in this country. This decline actually seems quite rapid, I would say from 2015 onwards. Housing in major centres was expensive, but it has skyrocketed in the past decade. There has been a decline in many institutions: 1. health-care, especially noticeable since the pandemic that coincided with many boomer medical staff retiring, but also by our sclerotic institutions refusing to enable foreign-trained doctors to work here. Many foreign-trained doctors in the Vancouver area are doing jobs way below their qualifications while many people cannot even get a family doctor. Crazy. Econonically, there seems to have been no plan at all from the government as we exited the pandemic. At least the US had a plan, to 'build back better'. Our government just floats along as if everything is fine, when the decline is very visible especially to older Canadians. We have admitted 1/2 a million people a year from overseas, so our economy should reflect this and show an upswing. But no, we're in a 'technical recession' as of December and probably a real recession as of last week. I have never voted Conservative in my life, but Trudeau is a flaky dimwit with a famous name who has no clue what he is doing. A fool, in fact. He's mismanaged our foreign relations beyond belief, and nothing has improved domestically. When Pierre Poilievre says 'Canada is broken', I believe it. We deserve much better leadership; in Canada's case, the rot does come from the top. Justin the entitled idiot is much more like his mother than his father.\n\nLong rant. I visit Canada regularly since the late 90th. I saw a steady decline in the last years. Get rid of Trudeau and his bad politics. The sad thing is that this happens to many western countries. Currently I live in Germany. The loss of wealth and confidence due to damage done to the economy by the current government is mind blowing. People are angry. Visiting the Netherlands, Britain, France - everywhere I go in the west it’s the same. Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. Hi Alina, If you can stand the quietness, relaxed lifestyle, cold weather , cheaper rent, and friendly people, live in the maritimes, Manitoba or Saskatchewan. There is a share of rude people (more like drivers)in Calgary and Toronto. Both are still considered fast-paced!\nPeople in Calgary used to be very friendly in the 90s, not as friendly anymore! No where in Canada is perfect though.\nI will really choose Lethbridge and Medicine Hat over Calgary or Edmonton. Calgary is getting more busy and people more in a rush!

Im not against it. We may need the numbers soon. They come here for more than just the narrative. Its alot for the states to take on currently cant say it isnt. This is all true. It's impossible for most people to buy a home now, especially with Chinese and Ruzzian money laundering in the housing market driving prices out of touch with reality. The health care system should change its name to human plumbing operations department so people don't get too optimistic about their chances of survival. Food is unbelievably expensive and booze and cannabis are true luxuries, but necessities in such a depressing society. A hockey game, our pastime, will cost you two days pay for an average salary. Traveling, from local transit to airline, is double any other country I've been to. What's missing? Oh yeah, Winter!

Canada bends over backwards catering to new immigrants, giving away free welcome packages of essential items, providing free language lessons (when you are supposed to be fluent in at least one official language of Canada when immigrating), giving you instant permanent residency upon arrival allowing you to enjoy free universal healthcare and free primary and secondary school education for the children, allowing you to be eligible for Canadian citizenship after just 5 years of residing in Canada only requiring you to stay 6 months of a year in Canada. After all that Canada has done to help you, you still don't want to stay?? Then leave!! On your way out, try to ask people who try to immigrate to China how their experience is like. Ask them how long they need to stay in China to even get permanent residency and how much they have to pay to send their children to school in China. Jesus! Goodbye!!

high cost of living it makes sense to leave Canada all together . You are taxed to death in Canada every thing cost more Canada is a great place if you all ready have lots of money . But if you don’t it’s hard. I find it so weird when they ask for Canadian experience when you just came to Canada I blame the employer they make it difficult for people to get hired and in return people leave to find a job in a different country I did the same thing came to Canada to look for work working in IT and I didn’t get IT job because I did t have any Canadian experience. After two years of working at a job that was not even what I studied I left Canada and found a job that I studied for I got a good job in America Long island New York and never looked back……. I get paid double then I would have if I had gotten a job in Canada any way ….. forget Canadian experience it’s not worth moving to Canada the country has changed. You pay more for everything in the states you get things for a lot less . Car insurance in Canada is so expensive……… do t get me started on the winter ?

People are leaving Canada because of taxes and very rude and racist society. Also opportunities such as higher pay jobs are only given to family and close friends. Hard working and smarter individuals don't get nothing in return for their efforts and contributions

I think every immigrant is a seeker , I'm from India , people move to metro cities like Mumbai or delhi for better life , then they move further if they get better opportunities so some have made it to Canada or other countries what so ever ,if someone would say some bad points about the country then there would be some judging asking questions like if we don't like it here , why don't you come back .... What i think if a person gets opportunity and is seeking to grow for a job or anything must just keep seeking to the best place to settle.

Im 58 from the philippines. In the 80s a lot of my friends immigrated to the us, canada, and other european countries. 30 yrs later after holding many jobs and getting laid off many times they never progressed beyond basic paycheck to paycheck existence. Many of them returned broken and broke. Whereas those who stayed in the philippined progressed in their careers and professions and became top people. Best decision of my life NOT to immigrate.

I’ve lived in America 15 years because I married an American. Americans are definitely more difficult to get along with. That’s one reason I would consider moving back one day, I miss Canadian people. I live in Florida and am originally from Vancouver

Im a Canadian, currently living in Vancouver but I've lived in many countries and will expat again. What it boils down to is if you have a good professional job that pays well, quality of life here is fantastic (among the best). Great schools, clean, great for young kids, and unparalleled acces to the best nature in the world mintues from a world class city. But life gets difficult quick when you cant afford anything. All these other complaints are blown out of porpotion (politics, drugs, etc...) by many and mostly don't really impact most people. In my experience, most people really leave because of better pay in the US, or because Europe has more culture, or asia has many more contries to explore close, or has LATAM has better weather etc...

I can empathize with the young people in this video log, But the fact is that there is no ideal place in this world, for better or worse, you can say, which will conform to our religious social standards. On the contrary Islam teaches us to take the challenges in life and face the facts squarely by struggling to bring reform in the system for the benefit of all. Prophet Mohammad PBOH was born in jahaliyia (ignorance and intransigence) and transformed the society around him through preaching and self sacrifice and persistence in attitude and behavior towards his mission. Can we follow in the foot steps of our beloved Prophet and make a change? Time to get serious in our faith and practice under all circumstances. Been dying to leave this place for 15 years now.. but unlike Canada, it's quite hard to actually get a work permit and stay in the countries I've attempted to live in.. meanwhile I've watched as people just flock to Canada on student visas and end up staying here. I'm not 'anti immigration' but it definitely needs to be a two way street between countries.. If I could get a work visa to a few different places, mainly Japan, I'd pack up and leave tomorrow.. Canada just isn't it for me and hasn't been for a long time..

I've wanted out of here for 15 years now.. the only issue is actually getting work visas.. Unlike Canada, other countries are quite strict with giving out work visas, while here in Canada, it's well known around the world that you just need to come here, take some ESL classes and you're on the pathway to Permanent Residence in Canada.. I've personally met dozens of people here permanently simply via ESL/ student visas..

I live in Toronto since 1999 and witnessed the decline of the city due to higher crime rates, poor car racing on highways, more selfish people parking at the fire lanes, legalization of pot (thanks to stupid Trudeau govt), more traffic congestion, more homeless taking up the parks etc since 2005. It gets worse and worse each year.

While I would agree with a lot of what your points are (LGBT, pedophiles , woke society, abortion etc..) there are some conflicts with your idealogy which doesn't exactly mesh into our Canadian values and culture. Our values and customs allowed most of us to grow up in a mainly Christian or even athiest environment. Everyone of any race or creed is welcome here as long as you are willing to work hard and be financially independent. In other words no freeloading off the government. People are expected to assimilate and get along with society. We opened our doors and welcomed you remember that...
