My question?\n\nWhy were they stupid enough to go to Canada in the first place?

I left Canada. Me and my wife moved to Turkey to survive retirement. I worked hard all my life but because I didnt have a unionized government job I have no pension, I have small savings but not enough, I bought my first home (condo) in 2022, three months before the interest rate hikes. My mortgage was variable so I lost my home.This is Canada: lucky privileged group getting more and more rich, the rest of us will struggle all our lives

Labour shortage? ? we have enough homeless people without jobs already. Canadians do not want to be exploited with cheap labour thats the problem. Pay canadians according to our economy and there will not be so many homeless people and more of these jobs will be filled. The government makes it an excuse to keep bombarding canada with more migrants as to keep the employers from having to pay more and keep labour as low as possible. Of course a new immigrant is going to do whatever job they can get, because they do not know the Canadian economy. You see houses with 15 people in a 3 bedroom apartment, 25 people in a house. I always wondered why certain houses had 6+ cars and I kept seeing multiple faces.

Most international students who come to Canada are more educated than most average Canadians. So don’t say they’re low skilled immigrants. Canada just doesn’t have enough technical jobs for them. They’re forced to work for such minimum wage jobs.

Its dark and cold 6 months and weather is always unpredictable which has a huge impact on your mood believe it or not. I was born and raised in canada and i dont know where else i would live but the day i get a chance to move out i will run! Canada is expensive your money is never enough and your always in debts fighting every pay check to pay check to make it theough tour weeks. Its dosgustingly ugh

Oh yeah we need more immigrants so we can make the lines for employment longer because the lines are not big enough

It's a third world colony piece of the proverbial brown stuff, that's more than enough reason not to go there.

It's a double edged sword. The industry (fast food, food retailing, services) WANT those people, be it international students, refugees or other to work because there is insufficient response from the local population of young people. Even certain restaurants and hotels had to remain CLOSED after the pandemic, because they could not find enough people to work. The government covid money dissuaded the local population from working. It is a huge mistake to admit so many Indian students attending low-credentialed private colleges and then allow them to work 20-30 hours a week. Trudeau and Miller are to blame for this. But at the same time, there was a labour shortage due to the ageging population and the fact that people have fewer kids today. Canada should give greater priority to trained professionals in areas where there is a need, such as construction, education and nursing. People in India, China, eastern Europe and other countries can get very good training in technical colleges, but it is the wealthy families in these countries that don't want their kids working these jobs.

To much immigrants to sustain …not enough job, not enough housing and rentals to accommodate the to many people that came in…it put pressure on healthcare to…it’s a shame for my country that use to be an hopeful one.

So problem I think is not in emigrants itself but in government who does nothing. Government doesnt want to solve home crysis which have been here since 2010 not 2024, same government does nothing with job market and the same government doesnt supply emigration program with enough jobs .

Don't forget to add that their passport will be collected at POE if they choose to seek at the border and please if u don't have enough money to sustain yourself don't bother to go in before u seek just do it at theboarder

Businesses that have reasonable offerings dont have that much trouble finding employees.\n\n Businesses that have to rely on low rate imported workers are not viable by normal circumstances and should accept their fate.\n\n In my town they buy businesses, fire locals and then use the system to complain about them. \n\n Enough is enough.\n\nI expect ill get sued sooner or later because i simply wont deal with non Canadians. How about some doctors?? ?. It’s a 14 hour wait at the hospital in Fort Saskatchewan, and over 1 month to see one’s own physician, IF you’re lucky enough to obtain one!

I was told twice ( unofficially by employees) while applying for work that I should not put my hopes too high cause even tho I was qualified I was not part of a minority or had a disability ! It took me a long list of application and lots of time to finally get a minimum wage job !! It’s disheartening and discouraging and maddening !! P.S. I did attend college so I do have an education like a majority of Canadians and it’s still not enough !

These students were always supposed to come with enough money to survive. Years ago it was $10,000 & it needs to be increased to at least $20,000 or no entry! Businesses won’t hire Canadians it seems because of the government money they get to hire immigrants. I read constantly about people saying they’ve applied to upwards of 30 jobs and not one reply. This is why.

To be honest, nobody cares about a safety net, healthcare etc when they can’t make enough to afford a roof on their head and decent food.

17 hour wait time at Victoria hospital in london NOT because there are not enough skilled staff, it’s because we have 150 thousand more people in the last year.

Only Shortage is in health care and the Shortage in health care systems is not going to be fixed anytime soon. The family doctor shortage isn't going to be fixed. Because the government isn't paying the doctors enough and forcing them to do stuff. The vaccine mandate caused a lots of doctors and nurses to leave Canada to US. And the family doctors are getting payed around 40$ per patient and they have to cover their expenses and cost of running their clinics with that. Alsobthey have to fill up a lot of paper work. They are not getting paid enough to continue this. The system is a failure in Canada

Not gonna lie. But Canadian teenagers feel entitled . They don’t want to work which is a shame. That might be a problem with the parents. But a good portion of 20-35 year old living with there parents are white Canadians. Let me be clear before you all slam me. But it is fucking true. Look at the line ups and tell me how many Canadians do you see. None. The problem is they want a job to pay them big money right off the start. We all started somewhere. I worked for 5.35 an hour that was only 20 years ago. That was minimum wage. Ridiculous right!!! But it actually hasn’t moved up much sense then. Saskatchewan is still the lowest minimum wage in all of Canada ( thanks Scott Moe?). I get it. Even right now with the Trudeau government you really can’t make enough money to survive but you have to try.

I always suspected this was a lie. We have enough workers for the jobs. We need to train Canadians first.

Canada it's enough, the people and the poverty. The country itself, donations and church. Technology is the help. Waterworks, sewage treatment plant, energy, automatic work, even private. Be it with solar, magnetic field or hydrogen, motor or encoder. I really want to finally help our people in this world. Small country houses built and properly expanded do not have soup and at night they have to fight for survival on the streets again. The technology makes follow-up costs unnecessary but creates the opportunity to help in the long term. People also have dreams, even the poor ones. You just have to give everyone a fair chance in this whole commercial system. Help those who need it, they are from your own people or do you want to be just as hypocrites as the laws and systems themselves Humanity. Even technology and you can grow food yourself, also learn for others and continue to help others. Small gardens and notice that they are really being helped, new courage means hope and continue to help others, get involved in systems and pass on good knowledge. Whether drones or small robots, free energy and power. Don't help here and there. It is your own people that you are making to suffer and are making excuses and hypocrites of Jesus? Finally, really help yourself and, above all, yourself and the systems and keep your eyes open - all the technology you need is there and it's not expensive anymore. The excess production destroys the market but creates these unlimited possibilities to help poor people in systems. Basically Canada should offer three choices for immigrants:\n\n1) bring in enough money with you to enjoy a good life\n\n2)work hard after arriving to make enough money and enjoy a good life\n\n3) leave Canada if you don’t have money and don’t want to work hard for a good life.\n\nNo one should be entitled to a good life, especially when they just arrived. the last thing we need is to pay for people to immigrate and stay here. They afraid of High prices, not enough work and housing too high. They compared also the USA. Latin American are christian and they also see here not enough religious freedom. Plus afraid of imposing like Cuba or Nicaragua etc.

Canadians are leaving Canada and that's what should be concerning. As Canadian born and raised now retired, I have finally had enough if the past 3 decades of crap in this country and also found a way to immigrate out of Canada to a country who places its citizens FIRST!
