I came here 2 years ago, I'm applying to jobs in the US and other countries as soon as I land one I'll leave, this country is a pyramid scam.

Yeah that is me. I came from Australia originally but the economic (and housing) prospects are abysmal. Both my home country and the one across the border pay significantly higher for the same industry. There is no reason to stay as a young person.

I came to Canada on a scolarship and as soon as I got Masters, I left for the US, which was always my plan. So yeah, thanks Canada and taxpayers?

My cousin, who has seven years of engineering experience, came to Canada for further studies. After completing the course and waiting for six months, he was unable to find a job. However, upon returning to India, he secured a good job with a high salary within seven days. Despite this success, he returned home burdened with a significant student loan.

How an airlines worker allegedly exploited Canada’s immigration laws to admit people from India\nThe 24-year-old former British Airways worker is estimated to have made over $5.1 million from the fraud scheme\n\nAuthor of the article:Jamie Casemore\nPublished Feb 28, 2024\n\nA former British Airways employee has allegedly fled to India after being arrested for allegedly helping Indian citizens get around immigration laws so they could claim asylum in Canada.\n\nAs initially reported in The Times of London on Tuesday, the employee who worked at Heathrow airport in London, U.K., is said to have enabled people without proper documentation to get on flights to Canada so that they could claim asylum upon entering the country. He allegedly charged £25,000 per person or about $43,000. The alleged scam is estimated to have made 3 million pounds or over $5.1 million.\n\nAfter taking the money from the Canada-bound asylum seekers, the 24-year-old former employee allegedly told them to fly from India to the U.K. on a temporary visa.\n\n\n\nA former British Airways employee has allegedly fled to India after being arrested for allegedly helping Indian citizens get around immigration laws so they could claim asylum in Canada.\n\nAs initially reported in The Times of London on Tuesday, the employee who worked at Heathrow airport in London, U.K., is said to have enabled people without proper documentation to get on flights to Canada so that they could claim asylum upon entering the country. He allegedly charged £25,000 per person or about $43,000. The alleged scam is estimated to have made 3 million pounds or over $5.1 million. \n\nAccording to the Times of London, Canadian immigration officials raised concerns after noticing an influx of people flying to Toronto or Vancouver without proper documentation, and claiming asylum.\n\nNormally, airline employees would check if passengers are eligible to fly to their destination, but, using his position at British Airways, the 24-year-old was allegedly able to falsely claim that his victims had the proper documentation for travel to Canada. The former employee’s process was allegedly to make sure that the prospective immigrants came to his check-in desk at the airport. Later, he would allegedly meet them again during the boarding process and falsely report they had the correct documents a second time.\n\nThe former British Airways employee was arrested on Jan. 6, but after making bail, he and his partner, who also worked for British Airways, fled to India, where he reportedly owns multiple properties and is still on the run from U.K. and Indian authorities. If he is captured, India and the U.K. have an extradition treaty.\n\n\n\n\nA former British Airways employee has allegedly fled to India after being arrested for allegedly helping Indian citizens get around immigration laws so they could claim asylum in Canada.\n\nAs initially reported in The Times of London on Tuesday, the employee who worked at Heathrow airport in London, U.K., is said to have enabled people without proper documentation to get on flights to Canada so that they could claim asylum upon entering the country. 12 years and counting- tell me one big infra project that’s started in Canada.. no highways; no new transit system; barely surving infra and can’t keep up the pace.. job- very few companies and there is always a job threat. Feel like we are walking on a double edged sword.. companies Dnt even spent on employees and their trainings. Honestly never thought of this dark side of Canada as I came here with high hopes. Now a days- you are not even safe on the roads.. what more do you wanna hear??

I know a lot of people who are going back now. People who came with a PR and have an average yearly income of 190000 cad. \n\nIndia is growing at a higher rate than Canada. Standard of live used to be better in Canada but now with high cost of living, that is changing. Medical facilities are in doldrums in which India excels. Canada needs to rethink about their policies else more educated people are gonna leave. \n\nI would rather buy a flat in Mumbai than Canada at this point.

I came to Canada with the hope of a better life and it was a better life for a while until I had to deal with work politics and quit my job. And the so called healthcare system? I gave birth to a girl here who devloped cancer (never have we had that in any branch of our families) then died here from errors that could have been avoided. The taxes? High to support services that dont really benefit. The culture? Outwardly welcoming but inwardly judgemental. The weather? Has nothing on anywhere else in the world. So is Canada really worth it? Make the dollars and buy land in your country's home town. Visit Canada for a seasonal summer job then live at home peacefully among those of your culture and grow your own land.

Students who come from certain countries (you know where) come to look for free food and free benefits from Canada. I work at a well known university and see them come for food bank the first day they landed. Even some came to complain that their grants got cut (of course, coz they never finish the thesis) and demanded for financial support as they need to pay for family expenses including car loan!! Wtf is car loan??? If you wonder where are these students from…you guess it’s right. We see them everywhere.

The homes are crazy expensive. Just start from million The healthcare is not good if something were to happen to you . Hav e to be waiting in the emergency over night I slips on ice went to the emergency went there at 6:00 for looked at 9:00 waited 4 hrs to get look d at. 3 generation Canadians have it good there parents came in the 90s houses weren’t so expensive then . Know it’s really hard with inflation so high if you don’t have a good job it will be a struggle. Indian students come to Canada thinking just working on cash will be enough ?it will not . Mass immigration is a problem to many people less houses . Canada likes to say they welcome immigrants but truthfully they dont. And high taxes, truth fully you work all your life just to sure and pay taxes …….

I love Sikh community, they are loving and welcoming always, due to some phase of time some negativity came and few people created a Khalistani comunity.

I have seen hugest block heads in US, other cultures and religions are freaking non existent. They will even hang Jesus if he came now because, so many of them are ignorant, they will miss Him. Shame on the ignorance.

Good. They came here to exploit us not to integrate and become Canadian!
2024-02-22 0
Not recently but always it was different from what you hear about Canada.\nHowever, high costs of living are gone up at every country.\nI left Canada two years ago for a job in Europe. Prices went up here as well.\nBut one thing that is different: I came as engineer, I work as engineer. In Canada, that's impossible. As soon as you have an accent, you are considered as not qualified for the job. It like you are applying for the English teacher not engineer. It's hard for adults to change the accent. That's why it's easier to leave.

Same . Came and went back to Europe as I work remotely . Chose Poland - affordable safe quality of life is good and real estate even to buy is ok . For now at least

My friend is an Engineer. His wife is a doctor. Both have more than 15 yrs of international experience.\n\nAfter they came to Canada, they realized - a hair cutter and a mutton cutter makes more money here..... while they are doing minimum wage jobs.\n\nCanada is the Land of Killed-dreams.

Canadian here. Millions upon millions came here in a short period of time. We didn’t and still don’t have the infrastructure for that large of a population. Honestly, what did they expect?

Fake visitors from sh!thole countries are dropping in Canada and seeking asylum and then lead to taxpayers' welfare handouts. Our immigration system is totally broken. We need quality migrants who can contribute to the Canadaian economy, not the quantity who comes here to live off our taxpayers. Send those back as fast as they came. There are also some criminals, etc. Sliding through this broken system we have. All because of Trudy and his minions running the country to grounds.

A few years ago I got job offer to work in Canada, it looked attactive in the beginning until we went over the offered wage which was slitghly above my income working in the US, the issue came up when I saw how much I would get net in my pocket after taxes, social security, etc, the amount was lower to my net income at that time, and comparing the higher cost of life in Canada (home rent, grocery, utilities, etc) vs USA, oh man!!, I had to turn it down. I cannot imagine how expensive it is to live in Canada these days, but for sure it must be a way higher. I kind understand why this decline of citizenship applications is happening.

Why must the palestian leave their land? They owned the land. The jews that came to palestine by the ship with banner that thank the palestian should leave the land. The jews are the refugee to the land...why dont the US and EU take them back? Do not blame the arabs that do not want to accept the palestian as refugee....blame the US and EU that to not take the jews....

I came from Uganda to Canada. It isn't easy but I would rather stay here than go back. Life is what you make it to be, things get better over time. you need grit and resilience if you have a dream, going back to your old life is giving up. NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE IN.

30 yrs in Canada. No regrets. Work in healthcare, 10 mins travel from home. And yes, post pandemic, inflation, recession came along but life goes on.

It’s literally because of cost of living I came here last year I didn’t expect how expensive is everything here most especially my house and as compared to my previous job in other country my salary is bigger compared to what I am receiving here . No taxes deduction when it comes to bonuses and employee benefits it’s better to my previous company in the country that I had work

There is no such thing as a Canadian resume format ? And the Canadian work experience hesitancy also comes from experience. Lots of very creative shcools and resumes and very creative interviews. One positve is about Canada is we don't suffer liars. You want someone who came from a fly by night school working for you, or operating as your doctor?

In Canada you can make $300,000 in a couple of months. It depends what you’re into what you can do if it’s legal or not legal but legally you can make $300,000 $400,000 up to 1 million a year if you know what you’re doing and you have the opportunity to do it as a bottom of the food chain your rent is $1000 for one bedroom that you will be sharing with with complete strangers you have winter that it’s six months long it’s like you’re living in North India in the Himalayas mountains and then you have Ray schism all different type of race schism from all over Europe that came to this North American country. They don’t want you to take their job. and take their sister or their wives or anything like that. These people in this country cannot reproduce they’re not reproducing or doing anything they’re into the pronouns they’re not into normal normality otherwise than that the summers are great. They are some decent white people here we have lotta Caribbean people lotta Russians here it’s up to you to come and endure this country. It’s brutal winters there’s a chinook and the Chinook gives you headaches throughout the winter. It’s something different that if you’re from a tropical country. There are no fresh fruits in the winter time, here and fresh. Anything everything is a couple weeks old. The women over here are horrible. The longer you stay in this country, the lighter, your skin complexion becomes. If you were dark skin, you became light skin if you came here light skin you now you became white skin The food at the grocery stores are all GMO’s all these fat fast food joints G emoji they have chemicals in them that cause birth defects every single thing illegal in the real world. This place is a commercialize worksite.

Only lazy selfish people who came to Canada thinking only about making money and building Canada,. Canada those NOT need those types of newcommers and they should leave. Those who came before us and built Canada were focused, worked very hard for pennies, and yet focused on building Canada. That's why Canada is a super power today. To the lazy selfish newcomers these day,, I would say if you're not willing to build Canada, then get your very lazy selfish self out of Canada quickly.

The thing that really pisses me off is that these illegal entries also gum up and slow down the process for legit asylum seekers and legit immigration petitioners who do obey the law. I saw a news report at the San Ysidro crossing where they interviewed a mother of three young children who had a legitimate asylum reason (which still has to be determined in court) who had been trying for over two years to enter legally. The system just didn’t have capacity because of the illegal crossings in the region taking up all of USCIS resources. This woman had no resources and was sleeping on the streets in Tijuana (not safe) trying to survive and care for her kids and she had the resolve to continue to doing things legally. \n\nPeople bitch about America being unsympathetic — what about people like this woman? You gonna say she should give up obeying the law and try to jump the border? What if you came home from work and found a homeless woman and her three kids eating out of your fridge? \n\nWalls don’t keep people out. They have doors. Go to the door and ask to be let in. \n\nIf the illegal crossings stopped, and America refused to answer the door? Then maybe you got an argument for harsh treatment.
