I have experienced this many time, mannerless kids keep kicking irrespective of how many times u request politely to not do it. But best is never to talk to minors as they are most likely travelling with an adult so always seek who they are travelling with and report to the staff onboard first. If they say they are not able to help put it on record with ur phone and report once u land, sometimes u can’t resolve this when u are onboard, as so called literate people never apologise.

Too many too fast. Too many student visas and too many newcomers at the same time. The wealthy have no issues here, everyone else struggles.

Post secondary institutions love foreign students. They charge waaaaay more and make that much more.\nThe response against more foreign students by liberal media is the threat that your tuition will go up with limits on foreign students.\nWhat about spaces? For every foreign student there's one less space for Canadian students.\nHousing is the biggest issue today.\nPrevious to Trudeau, the issue was the cost of detached homes in big cities going up but today it's insane rental costs across the board that no one can afford.\nI have been dumb founded as to why after decades of predictable increases and stock suddenly, year after year, cost went up dramatically as stock dwindled.\nI see the same places available, no one's tearing down masses of cheap 70s built rentals so what happened?\nThen I saw the immigration numbers. Canadians aren't having kids so who is taking all this housing? It has to be immigration.\nClearly, it's time to turn the taps down and allow housing stock to catch up.\nThe ripple effect is that no one can work an entry level job in the city. Who can afford a minimum $1000 month on minimum wage? Even at $20 hour, everyone is hiring but no one is filling positions in cities where there's nowhere to rent. Even these way over priced rentals, a bedroom in a run down house has line ups to rent at $800 month.\nThe only people accessing affordable housing are people on the street or on disability who qualify for it. Low income workers are the most screwed class of people especially if single.

The more houses you build the more land you need that means farmland You can't grow food on a house or apt.The more people in this country the more food you need? Farmers have a hard time growing food as it is there will be a food shortage in 5 years ( think about it)

The answer is yes. Those students know that it is a ticket to stay. A foot in the door. They are a strain on government services, housing, food banks and most come here without proper resources that is one of the requirements for entry. Even if they pay more it shouldn't take spaces that Canadian should be entitled to. They take jobs that belong to Canadians, housings that belong to Canadians. In london ontario close to 12 thousand international students take up the affordable housing for people of london. This causes so much distress on the low income people try to find a place .Then greed of developers and landlords causes the rents to go up so much that those on fixed incomes can't afford there rents and rent evictions happen as landlord look to cash in . Time to stop this madness. Local government in london has done little to stop this issue either.

Listened to your vlog and I want to suggest few things as an immigrant myself... I am not sure of your detials but seems like your husband came back after 2 months leaving you there with family.. I have rarely seen any family settling abroad unless they have seriously burnt all there bridges back home.. if you start with a mindset that let's go and see and if doesn't work out we will come back 90% odds are you will go back.. firstly come with absolutely clear mind that no matter what happens you are not going back.. and you will make it here no matter what. The journey will become much easier and one directional.. Secondly you do not have to rely on any family abroad to move.. this is an other mistake people make.. they think they will have support but this support is actually a limiting option ... it doesn't let you get on feet quicker. Nobody can support you for long abroad and sooner than later you have to get on your feet. once you over stay your welcome you can start getting some unwelcoming vibes and then you get depressed thinking there is no one genuinely yours in this country.. you waste your initial time relying on your family.. better start without them in the first place and get going from day one.. and lastly 2 3 months is nothing to settle any where let alone in Canada.. you have to be patient, persistent and focused and after 2 years and after seeing all the calendar and religious seasons twice, you finally start to think of new place as your home.. its hard but in the end it's truly worth it and then you can never go back to India or Pakistan

What is the point of not setting a cap based on nationality? Let s be honest. 90% of international students are from India. If they do not come, others will come. Money is money. 99.9% of Indians come to Canada on study permit not to study but to work full time harming other international students from other countries. They come to class for the first few weeks and once they get team mates for team work assignments, they suddenly banish and never show up again. IT IS RUDE. They never speak English. Their stardards are far below CANADIAN STANDARDS. Why keep getting them in? Again. Money is money. Just limit based on nationality on study permit and later pr as well.

it's an open secret globally that the student visa is the fast track to PR in Canada.. time to close this loophole and severely cap student visas!!

I'm only halfway through but feel I need to comment and well I'm not exactly a new Canadian. But I was born the but grew up in New Zealand. And well why not . I moved over there in 2014 with full rights as a citizen. My trade wasn't recognised. Canada has its own rules about everything. You need to have training to pour drinks in a bar wtf.! But yea I came wanting a better life and well thankfully I wound up in Calgary so eventually I had the money to leave. And come home where know having seen the Canadian shit show I'm killing it here. It saddens me and yes I was that asshole that got trudeau on there cos I seen one rousing speech where he invoked his dad Pierre. And I fell for it. And not to lie I look old Canadian so I fit right in English is my first language and all that. And funnily enough it was the first time in my life where I could say fucking immigrants. It's a brutal place a brutal work climate and well there's a lot that's nice but when it's bad it's dog ear dog. I feel really sad about what's happening, all the mass illegal immigration and yet your a criminal for noticing it. A lot is very wrong, don't get me wrong nz is doing all the same shit too. I am 82 years old now, having survived through a number of hard times here. However when I have finally paid off my mortgage, I'm going to have a little money to travel for three or four months every year, but I have to stay in Canada for at least 183 days each year to continue receiving my pension.

I don't think the problems you're describing are a uniquely Toronto issue (many cities across the world are having an affordability crisis - Toronto's is bad, but not unique). I think it's also a lasting effect from COVID (especially on the mental health side). I do sympathize with Chow - seems like the city isn't getting much help from the feds who are allowing mass immigration without any infrastructure or services to support it (see 10.5% proposed property tax hike in order to keep the city afloat after Tory). All in all, think the city needs a bit of time to heal after the past few years but I'm optimistic it'll get there.

I agree with all of what you said, of course it’s a result of still the 2008 crash people have not recovered then they were hit by COVID-19 then after COVID-19, both Canada and America have drained their money into the Ukraine war, after that now Canada is draining its reserve into the clash in the mid east, trying to walk in line with America again, but they have America have US dollar which is backed by most of the world even though America is suffering now they are now on 33 trillion deficit, and it is continuing, many economist, they say if it wouldn’t be, America are printing the dollar if it would’ve collapsed long time ago, America is involving itself around the world and that cost huge money but it is unfortunate that Canada it’s trying to follow with it which means higher taxes and higher cost in the trillions

Situation in Germany has changed a lot during the past years, situations resemble much to what you described. However this is not the Canada I knew some time ago.

I have been in Toronto recently for holidays and it was one of the worst places I have ever been to. The whole city is simply full of cars, it stinks everywhere, you get watched by security all the time when you go shopping (even for clothes), which, as a european, was just a major cultural shock, and once when I used the subway to go somewhere, we could not continue because someone got shot on a street so that is was blocked. The combination with a total lack of any nice place like some nice parks or something (there is the lake, but somehow they managed to literally build an airport on an island opposit of the promenade, which is simply loud and disturbing), I would liteally be depressed after a few months if I had to live there. I am not really sure why people go there despite these high rents. In my opinion, rents would need to be lower than average in such a city...

Something is very rotten in this world.. The governments of these countries heavily criticise The West but at the end of the day, their refugees from their countries come flocking to us for a better life.. Fleeing is easy! If you really want a better life, you need to work hard and push against your leaders to demand that your voice is heard! offering asylum is the humane thing to do yes, but it's not helping solve any problems. I guess no one will want to settle in a Western society as there is a lot of stress _ loans, no job fairness, cost of living, drugs, the cost of energy bills, the cost of housing, poor transportation as one has to travel great distances each day to work, no quality family time _ and the way emigrants are not able to carry over their valuable experience or qualifications. I'm Canadian and recently got back from spending time in Phoenix. I'm still shocked at how much better everything is down there. From the prices, the weather, the housing, the jobs, the people. I miss it and want to live there someday.

the shots of the tent city in allan gardens park are heartbreaking. I lived in toronto for a few months back in 2018, and that was my favourite place to hang out. Last time I was in toronto, 1980, it was the most beautiful, clean city I'd ever been to. I was living in New York city at the time and it was such as difference. We went to all sorts of neighborhoods and never felt uncomforatable.
