Is this more of a US / Canada thing? How is it in Australia? I ask because I have never experienced this in the UK ( brown Asian for reference). I am wondering if it is more relaxed in the UK or If I am so lost in my own world that I don’t notice if the staff is following me. \n\nIn my experience, if you look lost, someone might casually ask you if you need help. I’ve had uncomfortable interactions in retail stores here in Australia, because I’m a young mum (well not anymore but I have been, I had one baby at 19,21,25 and 27). Purely because they perceived me as a skank and drain on the tax payer to them. I’ve had someone ask if I had a concession card (low income/singles) and when I said “no” they’ve said “really?” Or asked me again as though I didn’t hear them. I’ve had people ask if my children all had the same dad. I would hate to think of how that would be exacerbated if I was a person of colour. I never judge anyone on first impressions but a lot of people do. It’s really sad.

I heartly want west to suffer from first hand experience of what Islam actually then these western secular enthusiasts who claim that islamophobia is against pluralism will realise that islamopbhobia is actually a weapon used by muslim-liberal nexus to kill any criticism of Islam. I agree Drew, I am a native Californian who grew up with relatives from Canada. They used to vist back in the 60's-70's when the Canadian dollar was worth more here than in Canada. We are sister/brother countries just as we are with the UK, and Australia.
