I said Good Bye to Toronto in 2019. Never ever went to see it again. We knew something was coming. We were running. That something was the fake virus plus migrants. We are very happy living in small small town. I was born in a capital, always lived in cities. That will not happen again during my life time but also during my children’s. The children may have to enter, note enter and leave. But none of us will ever again live in a zoo.

I totally agree that this country will break your spine and test your ultimate willpower. Me and my wife came here 5 years back and we decided that we will shut ourselves like a tortoise. Forget about savings and forget about everything else. Only and only one goal we had in mind is that we will live in the basement and earn top dollars. Just to give you a perspective. My first pay was 19 dollar per hour and my current pay is 87 per hour. My wife started with 16.5 per hour and now earning 69 per hour. Even though our income grew substantially, we never raised our expenses. Answer to all problems in Canada is income. Now after 5 years we bought house worth of 1.4 M. We moved out of basement and felt immense pride. We paid 37% down payment and 3 banks approved our mortgages in a heartbeat. No debt at all. We paid up our car in full. Just a regular new suv nothing fancy. \nEveryone is different, we all are unique and I believe you took a right decision. Each and every word you said in the video is true. \nWe cried , we fought , we felt that our life is ruined but we both thought that ek bar to Canada ko harana hai. Itni income generate karenge ki sala CRA shock ho jaye progress dekh ke. We literally cried when we saw our YTD on Dec 31,2023. We crossed 300k and lately to be honest we got a kick in living in basement. well said. If you do not like the culture and values of a place, no hard feelings, if you can afford to leave, you should indeed live in a place that makes you happy. The western liberal democracy provides everything with freedom of choice and that is not something that many orthodox muslim families want - they not only want Islamic values and lifestyle, they want others around them to live these too. This is incompatible and it is excellent that this family is choosing to be where they will truly be happy. this needs courage and conviction. I may not agree with everything you say or share - but I do respect that there is always honesty in your ideas.

I live just outside the City in the Oakville area, but have gone to Toronto on numerous occasions. In general, even outside the city, the housing affordability crisis has become insane. I want to get out myself. Unless you have money, or a good job as was said in this video I don't even recommend living near Toronto. It's a beautiful area, but the cost just isnt worth it.

Fabulous video! US viewer here. But we often vacationed in Quebec’s Laurentians and our daughter went to Ontario’s University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree about 15 years ago. UofT was rigorous, to say the least, but she did it in 4 years, unlike some of her peers. She LOVED it, and made many friends, including internationals. They’ve stayed close on FB, and even get together (some flying in from other countries, including the Middle East and Asia) every 2 years or so back in Toronto. We’ve found the easiest way to make friends is by going to university or college together and living in residence, rather than once we’ve enter the workforce.\n\nThat said, and as unpolite as it may be, the root of Canada’s problems are exactly its politics. IMO Canada’s misguided liberal policies are to blame for its stratospheric taxes, cost of housing, increasing crime, tolerant drug culture, and deteriorating health care system. That Canada now encourages voluntary euthanasia to reduce health care costs should say it all. Margaret Sanger would be proud. And it promises to get worse as long as Justin Trudeau and his ilk are in power. His lionizing climate change intervention at the expense of what really impacts Canadians is sheer madness. Conservative Party Pierre Poilievre and like-minded politicians could fix it all.\n\nHappily, here in the US, the conservative movement is growing and energized. Once-liberal, especially ‘minority,’ voters are understanding how little the left really offers in the long run, and are switching sides. They’ll be voting for Trump in November.

Years ago I had a guy that I worked with that was Palestinian. He said he loved his home and missed it and his friends but he knows he is safer and better off here. He felt is was a fight his people cannot win. He also felt the other Arab countries were not helping them.

The truth is they don't want the Gazans, because they have a history of causing trouble in other countries. \n\nThis guy also wants the people in Gaza to stay to be killed so they can use them in their propaganda war against Israel. As a Christian, I agree with a lot said here regarding the direction of society. But Jesus teaches His people to not hide but let our light shine. True peace and contentment only comes by trusting in Jesus (John 14:6). May He guide you to Himself.
