My Father was youngest of 10 siblings. Half moved to USA in the 40s. They made out way better than their Canadian siblings. A few became multi millionaires. I sort of wished my Dad had moved too.

Not surpriseed, the USA has a lighter tax burden and Cheaper housing cheaper vehicles, cheaper clothing, Cheaper food, cheaper fuel and energy, Cheaper phone plans, cheaper vehicle insurance, cheeper electronics and soooo much more

I certainly would not pick the USA. There are way better options especially for retirees. Thailand, Philippines, Panama, Costa Rica. Ecuador... Even Portugal or Italy would be a better choice.

Canadians keep complaining that they have a housing crisis.. Let me ask you, where in the world is there no housing crisis?! USA has it, South America has it, Europe, Asia and Oceania has it. You want to live in easy mode? it does not exist.

As a Canadian living in the USA, I know I am not a citizen, I pay my taxes and keep my status up to date. My son had an administrative issue in his last year of college, he had to go back to Canada for 6 months, it delayed his graduation by one year and delayed his ability to work in the USA. You follow the rules and file all the paperwork

Why dont you see these type of protests by Indian students in USA. The reason being private colleges in Canada very well know that these students are not here to study. But still these colleges and Visa officers alllow them to enter this country. Twenty yrs back when I came to Canada to study, student visa criteria was very strict. U of Calagry only accepted students from IITs (premiere Indian colleges/uni). Also out of campus work wasnt allowed. Now most of students from India who come here in one building colleges are here to work. Canada should stop out of campus work and the problem will be solved.

Just be glad there is not a large Mexican population in Brampton. Mexican culture is the lifestyle in the southwest USA. They immigrate and make their new home look like the one they ran from in Mexico. Makes no sense. Indians are like Japanese…highly intelligent with great work ethic. Maybe some more knowlegable people can respond, but Canada has a birthrate problem. Our population would technically be shrinking if we did not have imigrants to be the new working force. As for who is imigrating, that may also be related to where people would like to imigrate to and opportunity. ie some would rather to to USA. Maybe if cost of living and raising a child was not so expensive. Canda has made some steps to improving child care costs recently, but it has been bad for a long time. It also does not help that we are now in a society where on average both parents need to work, and people are having children later.

In other words, let the USA take them all!!
