Yep Canada sounds like Australia! Our Government wastes a lot of money on their failed projects and stupid ' Conversations' on what to do about issues, which they do for months sometimes years. It all costs $$. They talk about inflation and spending but its not the citizens, it's the Government overspending. Plus all the big $$$ sent overseas to Countries in aid even though we have homelessness and poverty at a level never seen before. Then immigration has made it even worse. The middle class is now the new lower class.

Watched this video and your channel for the first time yesterday and honestly I really enjoy it. Made me feel like I was actually also in Canada, will keep watching your channels and hopefully more videos to come

It's made a mess of the immigration system esp with regard to temporary foreign workers and international students along with decades of poor planning in key areas like housing, health, education etc. Needs lot of changes soon imo

I just visited and too many homeless people it made the visit unbearable. It was a snow storm and saw people laying in the snow. Very sad. Every hotel was full and over priced I had to stay in an apartment complex converted into a hotel. $1000 Canadian dollars for a 2 room for a night was excessive. Canada needs to do better

Canadian born citizen here. I am almost done my degree. Once I'm done well I have been saving up for tuition well before starting university so I will pay that in cash and then head out to perhaps the states. I get it that they have the same issues as us but there is definitely room for improvement. You can't progress in Canada like you can in America. The most you will make in Canada is what you are paid for a few years of experience in America. Have several years of experience? You will make double. At the start of the video there were statements made that the immigration: foreign workers and international students - is putting a strain on the Canadian safety net. When the narrator was talking about homeless population there was a video piece showing opinions of some of the homeless people. Are those homeless people immigrants? If not how can you use that video piece to support your point?\n\nThere was also a chart showing how shelter occupancy grew in Toronto and how expensive it is to buy a house in Toronto. Toronto is not the whole country, you can’t make it seem like the whole country can’t “afford immigrants” because housing in Toronto is expensive.\n\nI view this report as an opinion piece: there were some statements made at the beginning but as the video progressed no evidence was provided to support those statements.\n\nI agree that there are problems that are tied to immigration in Canada but you can’t just state something without providing a factual evidence showing how immigration is linked to the problems covered in the video. This looks like cherry picking, not journalism.

I live in Canada. I’m 29, and even in my short existence here, I’ve noticed the deterioration of many public services. \nThe decisions made during the pandemic will cause repercussions for decades. \nBig changes need to happen to allow my future grandkids to live in a great country. Might be too far gone for me and even my kids.

Healthcare costs spending in Euro counties isn’t a fair comparison because it ignores the nature of the geography. Canada is the 2nd largest country on earth by land area and much of the country is made of smaller, remote regions where it is beyond expensive to render heath care services onto the population. There isn’t a single Euro country with a population as spread out as Canada. I wish more people would move closer to urban centres so that it is cheaper to render services to them, but the fact is, you won’t find a single Euro country that deals with providing care to these extremely remote towns that make up so much of Canada. We have entire provinces that are mostly comprised of remote, hard to access towns. It’s just an unfortunate fact of the nature of where we live.

I clicked on this expecting some right-wing Trudeau-bashing, and I was pleased to see it’s actually a fairly objective, non-partisan discussion. \n\nOne thing it doesn’t mention, though, is that conservative provincial governments in Canada are sitting on $70 billion in health care funding supplied by the federal government. They are deliberately allowing their health care systems to deteriorate. They have done the same with federal housing funding, to the point where the federal government is now making deals directly with cities to supply new housing. \n\nAnd, those rising housing prices, for better or worse, have made a lot of Canadian homeowners and landlords very wealthy. THEY certainly don’t want to see housing get more affordable.

They do and so let Ukraine be example that there must be changes made repeating history an indication. The end of all wars apon us through decisions infinite choices to be made but in doing so peace made with knowing cooperation is bright by conceding. It is humble rather than self servent

For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) around 400 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To many Canadians it has felt like a tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. This extreme situation never existed prior to 4 years ago.\n \nHospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes. And if you do find a place to live its quite expensive. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE (non-public) colleges are being investigated (including looking for strong oversea ties). \n \nCanadians are meeting students who told Canada they have enough $, but it turns out they borrowed it (some borrowed it for the application process only). Canadian food banks and other CHARITY services have been recklessly advertised on YouTube (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes registered in your name are now never replaced (unlike before). \n \nThen this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). Many immigrant think that Canada will welcome them with a house and a good job. I have met many immigrants that they are back to their countries because they can not adapt or They do not want adapt to the Canadian way of life (which by the way it is not that difficult.) I am doing well because I get up everyday not waiting to get hand me downs or charity. I work hard. I also know many immigrants that have made Canada their new home and they are really happy. Definitely, Canada is not for everybody.

Getting ill causing a month long stay in the ICU left me homeless as living paycheck to paycheck causes once the cheques stop , I was placed in a Toronto homeless shelter 3 years ago and I can tell you that African refugees enter a shelter and no more than 3 weeks later are housed usually 5 at a time all Getting a fully paid market value 1 bedroom apartment average price $2,600 monthly that with a monthly welfare cheque and free food dental medical prescriptions clothing WIN WIN WIN the Canadian born homeless shelter residents get put on a 38,000 name waiting list for Ontario's drug infested housing ghettos the Africans are being housed under a kept secret program called COHB secret from us Canadian homeless that is and I've witnessed this now at 5 different shelters I've been in, having befriended one of the African migrants who is a little unstable drinking alcohol and smoking pot so he hasn't been housed but he has shown me the paper work that has been housing his fellow illegal immigrants and I say illegal because they all came as visitors only to claim asylum as soon as they land he also told me they all borrow the money for their plane tickets from a gang who once they land and start instantly getting welfare have to send half the proceeds back to this gang in Africa for the next two years , in this shelter donated clothing comes in everyday and two African shelter residents fold and sort the clothing taking all the name brand clothes what they didn't hand out to the other Africans they walk to the post office and ship it back to Africa I'm not making this shit up after we complained to staff which also happen to be made up from the Africans themselves yes they've hired wolves to watch over the other wolves so they now aren't walking out the front door everyday with garbage bags full of clothes at least not in front of our eyes DON'T CALL ME RACIST I know that's the go to word when this insanity is made public , what do you think is the first thing these Africans do when they walk into their free apartment? If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Leaving the resources and the people who work and volunteer for those resources to help the Canadian people (which would be the prime reason for this) Canadians first ! \n\nI would cut the Carbon Tax. Lower the Property Tax. Put a cap on all Strata fees. Lower the deficit. \n\nBuild more Hospitals and treatment centers. Put a ban on drugs and safe injections (as we know there is no such thing) \n\nMake it mandatory for those in need due to drug and mental issues (that have been diagnosed with such) to go to treatment centers (while building more centre's and hiring qualified professionals workers) to stop the crisis. \n\nChange laws on crimes and the time and penalty behind them. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. With major corporations getting fined if they don't smarten up and change the way the make and package goods. \n\nI would put a cap on Car insurance for those that have never been in an accident before and lowering the monthly cost by 10% \n\nCondo sizes would have to increase the square footages by a minimum of 10% of the national average to make sure that there is enough room and peaceful environment for those that live in those spaces. \n\nI would ban that you would have to pay additional for parking at every Rental property including lockers, that the property owners purchased during pre construction as well as lower the public parking costs nation wide in parking garages by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would Lower transit costs nation wide by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would bring back texts books and paper to schools so kids read more. Write more. Understand more. Learn more for those in grade 8 and under. \n\nI would ban every Pride event in Canada and charge people fines if they hang rainbow colored Canadian flags anywhere on any property including ban clothing with those colors on the Canadian Flags immediately. Failure to do so would also Ban same sex marriage the following year on the same date that the first ban was made if Failure to comply. \n\nI would ban any book or literature for kids that is LGQTB written. \n\n& that is just the beginning.

I am a Scarborough YouTuber, I ride around and explore the history of Toronto, I can show you old encampments in the don valley. A lot were bulldozed back when the don valley redivision started where they made the river more smooth so in events of another hurricane like hazel all shanty in the don valley were torn down and their bricks and stuff from the broken down buildings were used for it. Tommy Thompson park is another place where old 50s encampments went due to the fact they weren’t built up to code, many were from cabbage town. Homeless has a always had their history here in Toronto especially in the largely Irish community during the Irish independence movement. There hasn’t been a big change since the 1940s

Their relationship has taught me so much about different cultures and traditions. Trudeau made this place look like the promise land for refugees and international students. Most of them cant afford rent now, and want to go back home. Homeless Canadians can't find enough shelters. Our tax dollars are going to useless foreign military and carbon tax instead of sheltering the homeless and supporting our vets. \nCanadian retirement is going up to for 75 years old now.
