Coming from Iran I can't believe how medical procedure is so complicated in West. I have lived in Italy for four years and I have cousins in Canada. In Iran despite all the difficulties the maximum time you spend for general doctor under insurance is one hour. As for specialists you usually have to wait for 1.5 hours except for gynecologists which usually takes 3-6 hours. And you can go to any doctor you want depending how busy the doctor is but on average you can book an appointment for a specialist within two to 3 days

If citizenship is their goal, then they should learn to speak English AND French, speak our languages in our streets, not demand schools in the Punjabi language or that CBC (taxpayers) pay for Hockey Night in Canada in Punjabi, when its already available in French and English. I am in Canada for 17 years and I love this country. It literally saved my life. Although I have to admit that it is a matter of surviving nowadays. My husband is a senior piping designer and he can't find a job for more than a year and was on and off the job for last 6 years. In Canada, healthcare is the worst. If you're sick and need to see a doctor, you will have to wait more than a month to get an appointment with a doctor and for a blood test or any other test, it will take three to four months to get an appointment. People battle here 5-6 months with extreme winter and snow. The Immigration process is very very slow. The officials just don't care. Nowadays, Ukrainians get everything very quickly, such as PR.
