International students also empty out food banks in Ontario. Not enough food for actual citizens in need. Pretty sad situation. And these international students mostly from India go broke and exploited by fellow Indian employers.

The graph at the beginning was a little misleading. Showing massive increase of 1m+ last year, that is actual number increase for a country of 40million now, which looks alarming (or impressive) on a graph. Back in the late 1950s we increased 600k on a population of 17m. Our growth RATE today is .85%, in 1959 it was 2.99%... it's not to many people people, it's too too few houses being built!
2024-01-19 0
I am not against international students coming here. Actually its good that young people wanna come here. However is it fair to ask if the government allows almost 1 million people to come, is it fair to ask the government to also at least build 500k new housing and all the support related to that like roads, hospitals, police stations, etc. if not then dont invite people over so they can fight each other for space to be able living here. That is just disrespectful!!!!

I am actually happy we all agree in the comments. Immigrant or non Immigrant?
2024-01-19 0
International students say they are scared of being homeless. Well welcome to every actual Canadians struggle because of all the immigration. Probably should have came with the proper funds….
2024-01-19 0
That was actually a more educated answer. No need to use dirty words to answer anything. It just says how much educated he is and how some used words so dirty with the same lips that kiss their children and loved ones

If this question is now being covered by major media outlets, then the answer is obviously yes \n\nFurthermore to say that international students are “saving this country”, I find completely disrespectful to people who actually hold Canadian citizenship or were born here, people here would be having kids and increasing the population, if there wasn’t such an extensive cost to live our lives here, which international students are definitely contributing to the problem of\n\nFurthermore the idea of building quicker is completely ridiculous, that route has been tried to be tackled for years now and it’s just not working, the simple solution is to stop immigration for a couple years, it’s the simplest solution and by far the one that would be the most effective, but yet this country absolutely refuses to pull the trigger on it, insanity and denial is what this country is constantly dealing with
2024-01-19 0
International students are not, many of them have parents who came to Canada first , then find volunteer work jobs like nonprofits call centres to qualify for working visa, then apply PR, here is the catch, many of those actually financially stronger than local Canadian, cash buying houses, paying high fees for their kids being international students, they compete local first time homebuyers, they don’t actually need a well paying job, they came here for Canadian IDs . These immigrants wave ? isn’t the same as decades ago who fresh off the boat had to go schools or job market to survive. Don’t blame international students, their parents came ….

Why is the solution building a house per student? Why not invest more in student housing like dorms that can cater thousands of students with a fraction of the land space. Students resorting to living in actual houses or apartments, have to live with like 12 other people to afford rent which is much worse conditions than living in a simple dorm.

If home prices drop because there is more homes being built that gives everyone an advantage. I don't even know what percentage of people own 100% of their home but I don't think it's that many, and that's going to drop significantly as well. I know there's tons of studies done yearly on the effects of stability on children and mental health, good grades, good health. All these things generally improve with safety and stability and it's consistent. If you are someone who can actually afford to buy your own house, you could just buy a cheaper house and invest the rest in something else. It's actually better to have diversity than to sit there hoping no one builds houses so you can maintain some high value property. And this likely will lead to a collapse as well. It's unavoidable in the long term

?? from comments here, im glad to see there r still sane Canadians?\nshould have been honest, yo #3 reason is actually yo #1 ? \nthere r no hate crimes against muslims, definitely not in the ghetto you live in?\nyour way of life is incompatible to the Western lifestyle and that is a perfect reason to go to a country with the same cultural agenda as yours
2024-01-19 0
The reporter has no clue of the actual reasons of the conflict ??‍♂️
2024-01-19 0
Nicely said but are they ACTUALLY doing anything or just talking...
2024-01-18 0
So, not a genocide actually! Also probably safer for you as Muslims then for Jewish people in Canada right now!
2024-01-18 0
Why won't you say what's actually the crux of the problem? Is it all those typical Canadians invading Toronto, who don't mind living 8 to an efficiency? Hmm? Until you SAY IT, until you NAME the problem ... no sympathy from me! You Canadians consistently vote for the invasive population replacement.

whos he to speak of what 2 million people actually want? laughable...they still wont take refugees...case closed

We all like to push this narrative about how wonderful multiculturism is, but is it actually a good thing, or are we simply saying this cos we want to sound very open minded and inclusive? \n\nCountries need to retain their own identity. So if we want to move abroad, we should be willing to integrate in to their society (even if we do have some different beliefs from them in other ways). Moving to another country, not integrating and just hanging out with people from your own country isn't really good for anyone. We just create divides within that society and thus become more detached and distant from one another. \n\nAlso, living in high rise buildings seems quite dehumanizing to me. Sure, it must be cool to have a good view, but that's not how humans should live and exist- stacking thousands of people on top of one another.

He says the Palesitians don't want to leave their land so they won't bother trying to take them in. This is BS. If Arab countries offered to take in residents of Gaza (not Palestine - actually no such place as Palestine), the Palestinians would pour into their country. However, no Arab countries offer to help them or take them in as refugees.
2024-01-17 0
Palestinians should not leave their land, but they should also actively seek some steps towards peace. You can't demand end of fighting and peace when you actually started the fight with unimaginable violence.... That is not how common sense works....
2024-01-17 0
Maybe people should remember the Palestinians actually started this
2024-01-17 0
Canadian here, from Vancouver. This is 100% true. Why do we accept so many immigrants? Because we have to. We can't afford to have our own kids. It's too expensive. As my kids are finishing their post secondary education, I'm going to suggest taking their edu and leaving Canada for the USA - higher wages, more affordable cost of living. It's actually simple math.
2024-01-17 0
well IDK there are plenty of Palestinians that do want to leave there. So why wont he say yes if there are Palestinians that want to leave we will take them. Look at what isnt being said and thats actually what is being said. The Arab world dont want the Palestinians they want this conflict there.

The Saudis pull both ends from the middle... but actually serve US and Zionist Israel interests.

I lived in Toronto for almost 25 years but moved to Berlin, Germany, a few months ago. I found the last few years to be really sad and also scary. There is such a huge mental health crisis. The TTC is not very safe feeling. I have friends there who travel with dog or bear spray in their purses. The cost of rent is definitely a huge issue. A lot of friends can never move into a new place and I don't know anyone there who can afford to actually buy a home.\nThe positives are the food options (groceries and restaurants - some of the best in the world), the nice social life, so many things to see and do around the city, and the various beaches and islands.\nThe city is definitely looking uglier and uglier, though, with all of these boxy, glassy condo towers and now with Ford doing things like turning public space into a foreign-owned inaccessible spa.

2:40: “There is no Islamic environment.” I am very amused by this reason that I often hear from my muslim family and friends. You would be absolutely incapable of living in a country that actually enforces Islamic Sharia law. When the known Islamic movements did it you were scandalized and outraged and you kept claiming that they were not real Muslims when everything they did came from the Sunni sahih books and the Koran. It's so much nicer to be a muslim in a westernized country, isn't it? Come on be honest. fatiha an ex-muslim from Morocco.

I understood the arguments into you got into the “indoctrination” and mentioned drag queens. It’s an intolerant attitude. It’s actually progress - all people having equal rights. Equity for all. Being religious, Muslim, Christian, whatever doesn’t mean that your values should be the ones that we all have to live by.

I’m an actual Canadian. I wish I could leave ?

He evades the question of why Arab leaders never accept any Palestinians into their countries and the internet applauds like he’s some kind of genius. The actual answer is that the Palestinians are used as political pawns by the Arab leaders, who welcome news of war between Hamas and Israel and secretly revel in the news of civilian Palestinian casualties because it weakens Israel’s global image and allows them an opportunity to condemn Israel without doing anything at all to help the Palestinians. And the internet applauds like sheep.

These days I am given a bit of hope every time I run across one of these videos and deeply hope that these kinds of people actually leave Canada and NEVER come back;\nWhile I know our country is broken, I don't go around shouting it out in a public forum. If enough of these people like you DO leave there might not be quite the housing shortage ... but when that happens most will come running back because they look for the easy and the good - instead of looking for the good and then working to make things easier - with that said this oratory of yours just just becomes redundant!

Excuse me , Immigrants come every year as usual , even quantities of immigrants were reduced by COVID disrupt, The actual reason Allowing foreign investors to buy a a properties in Canada has imbalanced the real estate cost ,Real estate Mafia with Govt and political persons are involved bin this scam

actually Canada should revoke all Indians passports born in India and no one is allowed to remit funds to India and you will see what happens
2024-01-16 0
Glad I left Canada before it went down the toilet. Detroit is actually better.
2024-01-16 0
I agree with what you say about the degeneracy of leftism, but Canada was a great country before leftism and multiculturalism took hold. You are right to leave, but why do you refuse to live in an actually Muslim country?
2024-01-16 0
Actually inflation in Canada is one on the lowest rates among OECD countires. The US rate is lower, but we have national health care and subsided child care which are big money savers.\nAddiction and homelessness are issues in most countries.\n\nI am curious as to which countries you are considering moving to.

Thank you for your great video sharingEspecilly for those who wants to find a solution for their live in future. I'm Rosemary from China, living in Shanghai We've been experience for 3 years covid on and off. Lasy year almost everyone hoped to have a recovering expectation, but actually it's not at all. Many companies reduced their cost by cuting headcounts or lay-off more employees or just post fake hiring posts, actually they just did this for refill the vancancy more effeciently when someone quit their jobs.20% unemployment rate between 16-20 years old. We had anther ridiculous unspoken rules, if your age is over 35years, especially for females, you almost ingores by the job market or public service opportuniies therefore totally unemployment rate is a huge number that the gov chose not to tell the public. I waitnessed my downstairs small busness owners opened a small resaurant and shut down just for running it for one month There's no support or any help for the g\nIt's real hard to survive in China as a Chinese If I go back to my hometown, I also face the truth that there's no job for me as English major. Watching your video as an ordinary people, it's difficult to immigrant to those English speaking big countries\nTo be honest to say, I try to tell myself relax and everything will be rightMy hair is losing and turns to gray each month need to die.....\nI just want to change the situation that I want to use my efforts to make a living

You’re wrong about the economic information on Canada. Canada is actually vastly wealthy….\n But they keep building banks and other establishments for communist countries. You wouldn’t believe what they’ve done for communist Cambodia an$ the Canada bank in that country.

I lived in Western Europe, Japan and at the moment, Canada. I lucked out getting a well paying job in Vancouver when I moved back a few years ago and my average tax rate is actually the exact percentage you stated in the video - 28%, which includes income tax, pension and employment insurance. I'm actually doing better in terms of quality of life now but I do miss being able to travel around Europe for cheap. (e.g., quick train ride to Paris for the weekend) Now, I take cheap flights (e.g. Flair Airlines) to Mexico instead.\n\nJust to state some data points: when I was in Europe, I paid a total average of 39% income tax on a lower salary than I have right now in Canada. Things like utilities (e.g., gas/electricity), restaurants, certain grocery items and electronics (e.g., iphone/PS5/computers) were significantly more expensive because European VAT (inclusive) is usually 20%+. \n\nI don't have the exact numbers but on average I believe I was paying 70 - 90€ ($100 - 130 CAD) just for electricity each month for a small flat, but I am now paying $30 - 50 CAD for a decent sized 1 bedroom. I believe my housing gas bill was about the same or possibly a bit more. In addition, automobile gas prices were much higher (about $2€/L on average which is $2.90 CAD/L) and I think they could go even higher right now. \n\nHowever, rent is definitely more expensive in Vancouver, but I believe that is true for many West coast cities in North America. Right now I'm paying $2300 CAD a month for a 1BR, and I split that amount with my partner. In comparison, it would have been about €1300 ($1900 CAD) for something similar in the city where I was living previously. In a more expensive city (e.g. Amsterdam) a 1BR would easily cost €1800+ ($2650 CAD).\n\nFor me, the difficulty of making friends in my late 20's stays about the same. I think it is difficult to make new friends after graduating from school, and you have to put yourself out there by joining groups and events. (e.g. Meetup or volunteering?)

Never heard of this family, but decided to watch the video and it actually makes me support their decision to leave. They are critical about everything. I think perhaps they will never find happiness in any western country. But, I also think in a dominantly muslim country they will miss the western culture...farewell

It bothers me how non transparent you YouTubers are about the Allen Gardens area. Yes, homelessness is very bad, but the reason they migrated to Allen Gardens is because of the work on the Ontario Line around Moss Park. Why not show the other 300 encampments that are actually new and not just a transplant of a previous one?

Does he actually think that Palestinians want to leave their homeland? They're fleeing death and destruction, any nation with a shred of humanity should be offering to help these poor people, not hitting them with the NIMBY stick. If countries in Europe are taking in refugees then the arab nations should be doing their part too. Afterall, isnt it fellow arabs that are suffering?

Trudeau and his Liberals are actually fueling inflation by implementing and constantly increasing carbon taxes causing a domino effect onto all products being delivered to our stores including food. This is a fact and it has not and will not help emission reduction. Pierre Poilievre for PM !
2024-01-15 0
I commend your honesty and commitment. Lots of people will complain but never actually move. I admire your optimism and enthusiasm also.

It used to be good in Canada. Now it's authoritarian.People can't afford food or homes. Many can't access healthcare and when they do it's subpar. They freeze bank accounts and jail the peaceful protestors. The media is bought by and controlled by Trudeau. They are flooding us with refugees.Which I wouldn't mind if they had enough actual resources to go to everyone but they don't so citizens and refugees suffer. They do a price on pollution on citizens causing food ,gas, home price and rent inflation while they jet set in their private jets and take money in corrupt ways from taxpayers and use it to enrich themselves. They legalize hard drugs so kids are dying in the streets. If a man in a dress comes into bathroom with my daughter I get in trouble for being uncomfortable and so does my daughter. If we were scared to get vaxed we were shunned from society, barred from public transport and stores. We lost our jobs.We to vote them out and they got back in with minority and they made backroom deal with far left party to block opposition and have full power nobody agreed to.They block calling an election to get them out. When all this misery becomes too much they offer medical assistance in dying to anyone who asks and have even offered to those who didnt ask.So ya Canada sucks

Fifth estate is actually one of the last credible and legitimate journalists around. Im proud you guys are still able to dive into these issues with cited stories and supporting evidence. \nIt sucks we can only get so far before it gets too messy to follow or it’s a “legal” loophole, at that point it becomes theory without proof so it’s hard to nail down whatever establishments are responsible.\n\nThe scariest thing is that it’s likely pre-meditated (personal gut opinion)
2024-01-15 0
Where are some actual stats about people leaving Canada?
2024-01-15 0
Muslims should, actually go live in Muslim countries. You would be happier.
2024-01-14 0
But I’m sure you’ll continue to vote for the same people who ruined you city. Also, nobody actually enjoys diversity …. Birds of a feather flock together. Except for food, people actually do love diversity in food … but that’s about it.
2024-01-14 0
What a stupid question. It's unbelievable that some western journalists actually believe that is a legitimate question. It's quite actually baffling that you begin to wonder whether it's a lack of understanding of the situation or simply a racist mindset that engenders all this
