It is about shared values... ar the very least attempt to understand what democratic values are. Cultures and Nations that are 'traditionally' authoritarian have no clue what being a democratic citizen looks like. Than there is when immigration is weaponized by corporate interests to have a precarious class that will not challenge the government of the employer to give them more than bare minimum dropping the standards for all... at the least we use to attempt to maintain the standard of vetting to be fluent in the national language... I met someone from New Guinea who had no associates in this country because they NEITHER SPOKE ENGLISH OR FRENCH!!! This is deplorable for this person now alienated in a new home kand because they should have never been given migration approval because if language barrier - than in these settings people love from their country of origin being exploited to here being exploited by their community because they have no way to access anything outside their community?!!!! Its appalling that immigration has devolved to this state?!!!@&^$^_

We’re not multicultural…we are forced to be multicultural. When the government is paying companies have the wages if they hire an immigrant, then what do ACTUAL Canadians do? Now we see their beliefs and religions taking violent acts in our streets because WE don’t agree with their terroristic agenda. For example the pro Hamas protests. These immigrants are getting government loans and grants while white Canadians aren’t getting crap. This country is a joke.

Why’s the white population declining in cities like Brampton where immigrant populations are soaring? Go to an immigrant owned business, they don’t hire white people. Go to immigrant owned rentals, they don’t house white people. So why would white Canadians move to a city or area that won’t house or employ them? Even canadian universities are turning down more and more Canadian born students in favour of international students because they pay more. It’s sad to see Canadian born youth being rejected by their own country institutes. You would never see this in India or China or Pakistan.

How can we be multicultural when two countries are favoured for immigration, India and China? More Indians now than Chinese.

There should be a limit of no more than 20% immigrants from one country.

Canada is a great country to immigrate. Take some times to find jobs but its not thats too hard.

I immigrated to Canada, stayed there for more than 10 years. In 2018 I came back to my home country. Canada sucks, it destroys lives.

Is there a smart they won’t come to Canada because even right now Canadians are on the street. It’s just not a good time. Canadians are good people it’s not their fault. There was a young girl in her 20s, that’s a kid and because she had depression and why did she have depression? She was homeless and she had diabetes. She had no money to buy the diabetes medication so she killed her self with the assistant help of Canada. They were murdering people and then inviting immigrants in, how does that make sense?. And then no one‘s offering the immigrants jobs because there is no jobs but that’s not again the Canadians fault they can’t afford to put food on their own table. Canadians are hard-working and I know lotta immigrants are hard-working in regards to the students don’t come here maybe the United States will be best for you they offer lotta countries. Oh my God warm nice beautiful countries, I’m not country is sorry states you’ll probably be best for you to transfer over to somewhere there cause it’s just so many beautiful, warmer climate, and if people are used to coming from a warmer climate, it would just make more sense to me just an idea. I’m half of Canadians. I’m embarrassed of what is happening to the Canadian people under Trudeau and I’m embarrassed of what’s happening to the immigrants under Trudeau. Mr. Trudo needs a nonconfidence vote and sodas, the NDP, the broken laws both of them so both of them need to go make some very clear that a certain laws are broke doesn’t matter if he joins with an NDP throat people need to know the rights of Canada please Canadians look them up look up your rights, read them if you don’t understand them maybe it’s time we start having private groups and not on Facebook because Facebook rats. Whatever is happening currently with all the immigration, cost of living and job market. \nIt can't be coincidence, that exact same thing is happening is evey modern western country at once.\nIronically also after covid put the west into a lull. The prime Minister did a lot of mistake about the immigration system first He must to have a quotas numbers of immigrants in each province , students , temporary workers and refugees with a small pourcentage .But He tooks everyone he didn t think about the housing problem and the job market after the pandemic .Now they are huge consequence the cities are crowded , rent are expensive , crime and proverty is rising , people are struggling with cost living .People quite Canada because is not the eldorado they think .The problematic with certain refugees like soudanese and somalians create some problemin a country with crime .I don t said is all of them but they are unfortunately .

A lot of people in this country don’t realize how much of a gift it is to be born in Canada, as a son of two immigrants who left their country, their family, their beliefs only for me to have a better life here in Canada. It’s mind boggling for me how people born here haven’t taken advantage of the infinite amount of opportunities. I have not finished high school but have worked on bettering myself since the day I dropped out, this life is not for the weak minded it’s for the risk takers. If the homeless who lived here their entire life couldn’t make it happen for them and are not happy with their current situation I would strongly advice them to seek help for their mental health, change their bad habits, quit their addictions and if that doesn’t suffice maybe move to a third world country just to experience true homelessness, true hopelessness..

Immigration is fine on paper, but you absolutely have to enforce the acceptance of the host country's culture and abandonment of any conflicting aspects of your home culture. That means language, holidays, norms, values, social structure, everything.\n\nIt's the host culture that made the country great. Don't let it be squandered and tarnished.

When I was young, people used to say Canada was the best country to immigrate to because it was the least racist country, people are the nicest etc etc… I got there and I swear even SouthAfrica and Ireland has better people. Canada is the absolute worst of the American continent. Never go there, you’re better off living in a refugee camp in Syria

i'm from that country! my parents and i moved to canada when i was 9 and i watched my parents work on getting immigration since i was 6 years old. people take illegal opportunities like the one you covered because the legal process is worse.

You guys are so lucky in the AU because you guys are a big Island with nothing attached like the USA and Canada are so the world flies into some Countries in South America that don't require a passport and they make their way into the USA because of open borders and then into Canada. I'm a 28 year old Canadian, I don't want this to come off sounding like a pity party, so I'll keep it brief for all and any of those thinking of moving here. I live with my parents because I could never afford the rent (and I don't even live in a major city like Toronto); my buddies moved in together and paid 1600 a month for a SMALL 2-bedroom apartment and they STRUGGLED to find an apartment. everyone I talk to is struggling and scared about their mortgage payments. My parents built a new home just a few years ago and got screwed over at every turn and on every level, their only saving grace was that their lumber package was locked in so they didn't have to worry about the lumber inflation. the job market is straight up trash and we're taxed through the teeth for every little thing. On the news we see stories about immigrants having to go back to their country because they can't afford to live here or find affordable housing. don't move here, it's shit.

Its a problem when a country rely too much on immigrations to prop up their GDP.

There is a temporatory stop of foreigners buying home for 2 years. It use to be that a foreign student IE CHINESE)can buy home when they go to school here. They would graduate go back to their country and leave the house empty, leaving us Canadian with no home to buy or the prices are too high. The federal government accept immigrants and foreign students (more than 1 million in 2023 ) but not give the time nor finance for the provincial governments to built up the infrastructures to a accomdate them ie hospitals/doctors,schools houses…..very irresponsible of this government.

Actually we absolutely do care where and what type of people coming over. The type of people entering Canada now are not the same immigrants that built this nation. Trudeau is a sneaky guy. Immigration is not the problem. There’s a lot of immigrants coming into this country but later to find out that there immigration status is rejected and they get sent back home to where they came from originally. So now the new loop hole is they come in this country not as an immigrant but as a refugee so they can get their Canadian citizenship a lot easier. Can’t kick out a refugee, that would be inhumane.

Japan per capita debt-gdp is half of Canada and Tokyo is affordable with 37 million ... Japan's population has bee declining and apparently they haven't been investing for manufacturing high tech for probably twenty years ... slowing economies are okay but a fake economy by importing too many people is bad if your looking at the GDP of the country ... look at the per-capita-gdp instead peoples ... maybe that slid a bit in Japan but ours is getting worse faster it seems ... instead of the carbon tax they should probably be looking into manufacturing wind turbines for rooftops that are silent and maybe hydrogen cars or something ... Actually, yes, we do care where immigrants are coming from. The government lets in anyone from anywhere. Look at the crisis situation in GB, in the US, in some countries of the EU. The immigration levels are affecting not only housing, but healthcare, education, wait times in every federal services dept, and so on. It has become a nightmare snowball effect throughout the country and Trudeau delays, attempts to throw the responsibility elsewhere, and all his other tricks.
