Hi Jason from the Uk I want to move on and settle down in Canada. How will I get there I am a British citizen and how much money. I am not about immigration rules I have to apply online. It’s having to take too many tests that’s why? You need slot of IQ \nTests so where do I stand in the immigration process. It’s not easy at all. I feel held back. Why is it too hard \nI am waiting to buy a PC laptop before I start to apply. How much it will cost ? \nThanks Jason but I feel it’s very hard. \nIt’s not like the UK. Most of these problems are not just Canadian problems but are immigrant problems and some are just developed nations problems , most people will face them in every country they go to!! The uk, us, Australia mention others are all expensive with just a 0.4 difference! Getting a Canadian passport and moving to another country which is not your native country will solve nothing and it’s not easy to move to a new country unless you have someone to sponsor you!! A Canadian passport will not allow you to work in the US or UK you will need sponsorship for a visa _ all it offers is a free visit visa for about 6 months I guess but not allowed to work! Work visas are complicated and depend more on skills than passport you hold! As a US citizen I can’t work in Canada visa free I can only visit_ the same with Canadians coming to the US or the UK ! \nFor the weather I feel you! We’re lucky In the US cos every type of weather you want you can get it without sacrificing living in a big city But other problems are quite similar everywhere! You have to walk around them and create ways to enjoy the beauty your country has to offer! Running away from from a country your a citizen of cos of loneliness or boredom is not a solution especially when you moving to a country your not even a resident of! Cos establishing residence is never easy unless you have a community there already! Otherwise it will be worse than where your running from!

BS arguments, I'm sure these ladies is happy living in Canada. No country other than USA will give you good life style with no social healthcare. It's impossible for new immigrant to even buy a condo in California. Do you comparison right before making videos. Unless US is giving you greencard, you don't have another option. If you make $150,000 a year living in Ontario, Canada, you will be taxed $51,669. \n \nIf you earn the same amount in New York, USA, you will be taxed $47,513. That’s $4000 less taxes than a Canadian pays, but you will probably pay more than $4000 in private health care costs (or your employer will). At the present exchange rates you will likely still be ahead in the USA by a little bit but this changes over time.

Bhai you have to take into account taxes as well … cost of living is high in Canada… focus on building new skills as soon as you arrive in fact come equipped from home if you can as those courses would be a lot cheaper then here… you have to go above minimum pay otherwise life is daily struggle to make ends meet

Our seniors who have made this place so desirable, being born here or old immigrants, those are left in the cold. A website listing statistical comparisons of all country's characteristics for immigrants may help. This may help immigrants to choose wisely and avoid Canada and go someplace they would prefer. A time plan showing how much resources are needed to go any where in the world they want, should be included. This would help immigrants before anyone leaves the original country. It is important to know if and where they can recreate an environment like they left behind, in a new country.

I live in Toronto (born and raised) and I’m moving to Costa Rica in the new year. This video is interesting to me because these are all things I truly agree with but have never given any real thought to as negatives about Canada. I usually get quite defensive when people try to compare to the states and call us (Toronto in particular) less then American cities. I think that’s more so linked to my love for the raptors though ?

I'm a first generation immigrant and I'm disgusted by this video. Here they are, people who obviously came to this country as students, got their education here and now complain about healthcare, not being able to make enough money, segregation and their boredom. If not the sense of undeserved entitlement, then what's it? Do not listen to these immature, if not to say childish bloggers. Canada is the best, friendliest and warmest (even though our winters may be cold) place for new comers, who are willing to work hard for their future.

Canada uses immigrants to clear work and pay taxes. When work dries up they want you gone. Most established immigrants buy additional homes to rent out to new immigrants “property pimping” . That stops new landed immigrants being able to buy property.

Entering your own country and being treated like complete ?️ is the new Canadian way. The taxes do NOT equal out services used. Healthcare system is going down the drain. I couldn't get a midwife because of my choice to have a natural birth. I love Canada. I h8 Canadian corrupt government and systems currently in place.

I Was born in Canada and I agree and disagree with some points you've mentioned. How can you come to Canada and not expect to wear a jacket ? lol... The price of living is going up all over the world, the last 6yrs has become very pricey in all western countries. Hospitals are overrun in major cities in Canada that's very true, but not in smaller locations. Boring (are you crazy ? lolol) I completely disagree. You just don't know where to go lol ... however everything you do in Canada cost money ?. And I completely agree when you mention that Canada won't allow you to become filthy rich (very disappointed about that one) ... There is racism, but not just from the predominant Canadians. There have been many times when the racism is from someone new to Canada. But i also know as a black person i will experience this anywhere in the world. I was born in canada (Montréal ) and never left this country. I thought about maybe moving to Nigeria or Brésil one day. But I’m way too comfortable living here. I'm listening to hear how Canada is not a desirable place to live, bc I have thought it would be a better alternative to the USA. But it still sounds better than life in the USA, if even just slightly. ?\nSo far, I hear 30% taxes on income (which is same in the USA).\nYou have free healthcare, however you have to wait in emergency room for 8 hours.....we DON'T have free healthcare....and guess what? $450+ later, we have still waited 4-10 hours in the ER. \nHere in the USA, our cost of living is insanely high compared to a single and even a double income. Our lowest rent is $1,200 to live in low income surroundings. A rent around $1,800/month will bring you to nicer surroundings in an apartment, but still surrounding areas have crime. \nFood costs are so high, Gas is so high. We haven't bought new clothes for ourselves in YEARS, only for our kids. \nDaycare is $485-500 month per child, even before and after school care. \nHealth insurance averages $145/per person per month, not to mention car insurance which is required to drive. \nSegregation has improved here but is ever being integrated back into our society as racism is kept very alive, even as they constantly teach it in the schools. They say it's to teach history but I believe it is just reinforcing racist ways and thinking patterns. \nI don't blame anyone for wanting to return to the comfort of their own people, language and living and country. \nYou may have us with the cold/hot weather in Canada! \nI didn't know about the Canadian passport being so opportunistic for travelling. That's cool ? \nAs far as desired profession, there are many doctors and teachers that come here to the USA from other countries and are now working as a clerk in the dollar stores here in the US. \nAnd forget work life balance here too. Be carefull what you wish for Girls becasue Canada like New Zeland, Eu Nordic states seem to be some of the better countries compared to say to the USA (its just over the border by the way, if you have plenty of money!) Yes the USA where if you have enough cash then you can get virtualy instant healthcare but remember within a profit driven system enough is never enough and most people will find their cover they try to use isnt the cover they were paying for! Here in the UK our Nhs was reliable & you were seen very quickly, until they started privatising then costs and times started to increase at 1 - 2 hours now they are 12 - 15 hours or even never if you end up dead sitting in the back of a Ambulance waiting!!! so the private sector increasing efficiency is a myth perpetuated by greedy money obsessed people....

I'm a blk American born and raised and l have serious interest in moving to Canada. Since my people are from the US this is all l know so Im acclimated to the racial climate of the states. A lot of your cons are the same issues many face in the states. Taxes are crazy cost of living is insane wages are stagnant and you basically live to work. I live in Minnesota which is not far from the Canadian border but originally from New Jersey so I'm used to the cold. The health care system is sh*t here. Noone really has money to pay privately that's why our care is funded by employers. At the current moment there is also a shortage of medical professionals so often times you still have to wait months for appointments but you know what l would rather wait and have my taxes pay for my doctor then go into medical debt. My biggest issue with America is you pay all these taxes and reap nothing at least in Canada you can kinda see where the money is going.

I agree with most of your points, but as a person who immigrated to Canada 23 years ago, I am still happy that i did it, grateful for the opportunities that Canada offered to me, even though i had to work hard for everything. Few points i want to make for those who consider immigrating:\n1. Uprooting yourself from your country, and starting from the bottom in a foreign country is difficult, and not for everyone. Sometimes, when immigrants go back to visit their home countries, they try to present themselves as successful, and tend to exaggerate the positives. Having realistic expectations is crucial, do a thorough research beforehand, prepare yourself, and you will have better chances to succeed.\n2. I also lived in US for almost 2 years: US is better if you want to do business, or if you are highly specialized (IT, healthcare, etc.), but i wouldn't raise children there, even more so if i were a visible minority. \n3. If you are on top of your career at home, think twice before immigrating, unless you find a suitable position before arrival. If you are in a priviledged position, you have connections, doors are opened easily for you, you might find it difficult to adjust without these things. Many people leave their country because of corruption, they will find that they have more opportunities in Canada. \n4. There are some significant differences between provinces in Canada: Quebec offers low university tuition, Alberta offers the best ratio between average income and average housing costs. (You can buy a new house in Edmonton with about 300k) \n5. Canada might not be for those who want to become milionaires in few years, or for those who want a night life like Las Vegas or Ibiza... but if you are a young couple, motivated and hardworking, who want to raise children in a decent environment, to be able to send them to school without fear, Canada might be a good place.

Immigration to a new country is hard. It sounds like it has failed for you so you are right to try somewhere else. My parents put in the hard work and effort to have our family succeed in Canada for their children's sake. I do not remember boredom being a problem for us kids but then we loved the freedom of the outdoors even in winter. We did not rely on other people to entertain us. MY parents had to be very flexible and give up a lot of their old country ways. They did that work and we have all prospered.

Canada is a playground for the rich people of the world. If you're a migrant worker. The government has jobs and plan that pay just enough to keep supply of cheap labour circulate in Canada . If you don't want to work , there's new people who'd come for it. The cost of living  is the money needed to sustain a certain comfort level in a location. The cost of living covers basics like housing, groceries, taxes, and healthcare. Some countries have a very high cost of living particularly in areas surrounding large cities. For example, in the USA cities like New York and San Francisco have a very high cost of living, while areas such as rural Mississippi,  Kansas or Oklahoma  may be notably more affordable . Moreover, no matter where in the U.S. (or the world) one lives, costs may be lower still—or even higher—in another country. Some nations have a very low cost of living. Canada is still one of the world's best countries to live in.

Tips when moving countries:\nNature wins - if you are from Africa, why would you move to Canada???\nCanada is COLD - in Africa you never dealt with snow, ice, blizzards - meanwhile in Canada, 6 months WINTER hhahaha your body is not accustomed to such conditions, human races are different because of thousands of years living in certain climates - NOT AS IN THE BIBLE WHERE THEY SAY WE CAN DO WHATEVER WE WANT ON THE PLANET - WRONG! so this recent phenomena of moving countries is having also psycologicall downsides, such as racism, different cultures, not being able to fit in/not accepted by the natives etc as our brains are not designed for changing tribes, it is still as thousands of years ago, our brains operate in such way, that those childhood friends you had in your home country - YOU WILL NEVER HAVE THEM AGAIN ELSEWHERE. \nSo at first you may enjoy a new place, it as something new, but long term - NOT GOOD.\n\nTherefore when you move countries, you always move EAST or WEST, as you stay on similar altitude, the climate will be same/similar and likely the people will be also be similar/similar culture.\n\nYou never move NORTH or SOUTH, as everything will be DIFFERENT - climate, people, way of life - it will crush you! NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT THE END.

You guys don't know what you're talking about. People in poor countries want to come to Canada. Its Obviously better staying in Canada than in other third world countries. If you don't like it in Canada why not go back to where you came from? The taxes are expensive because that's what It takes to fund the security and law& order you're seeing here. You can actually make a lot of money even with the taxes you pay, become and entrepreneur or become a doctor or some other high paying profession and then you wouldn't have to worry about the taxes. As for the ''being boring '' you're probably a new immigrant and don't know a lot of places here where you can go for fun. You have to review what you're saying 100%

Everything is relative..,.if your coming from a country where things are difficult..coming to Canada is like heaven to them....Wen u relocate form your country of birth...to somewhere new and u hear aline its gonna be hard but if you have family and friends the transition may be easier

I've never been to Canada and I'm new to this site so excuse me if I seem rude, but why are you there. I'm glad she asked the question if you would leave cause its a good question. You couldn't answer. I'm sure Canada couldnt take everyone to just make you live a vacation they want to build their country. I'd love to live there, I hear it's cold but its a choice. If it's that hard dont complain just leave. Then youd be more credible to me. But anyone who moves in with me then complains, I'd ask them to leave, someone would be happy to take your place, I would.

I'm a US citizen from Chicago. New transplant in Canada, I find the same points on the other side. Its how you manage your life and time and it highly depends on your lifestyle and if you have a family. But I do agree on the entertainment, there's just more to consume in the US.

Well I hope you two young and beautiful ladies stick with Canada. \n\nI will say you might be a little off when you say that in the USA you will be paid more and can become richer. The fact is the US has the highest inequality among wealthy nations. And the worst health care, they place 20 out of 20 in the OECD. So wages and getting rich I disagree with, and cost of goods are on par....however housing is still cheaper and that is a big one. \n\nDue to the massive immigration we are experiencing here (too fast imo) it plays a big factor in health care degradation and wait times etc. The government was slow to respond to the fact when you add 300 000 people a year to Ontario it will require more health care providers. \n\nAnd don't forget it was the taxes my ancestors paid that provided the buildings you now enter for health and school etc. It seems that is seldom thought of by new comers. Even nice ones like yourselves.

You don't get a reward or a claim for car insurance unless you get in accident ffs. If you (who ever feels this way) don't see the benefit of paying these bills, nigeria would love to have you guys back I'm sure. High cost of living? Isn't it the same in Lagos? And there an no amenities? Taxes? The good roads you drive your car on, the hospitals etc, they don't just appear magically - do they? Boring? Make friends, try new sports, travel to new places (within and outside Canada), explore, get a job(so at least you have somewhere to go? Home sick? Grow up or go home - period!! There are minority groups in nigeria too (I come from a minority group in nigeria and its a similar feeling). Nobody moves you to a retirement home (compulsorily) if you have family and your family can care for you.

What do you want to achieve with your video? At times it looks like a genuine cry from the heart and at times, your words are too harsh on Canada. First, seems you only lived in Vancouver. Would you have the same feeling or solitude if you lived in a more open space like Toronto, Montréal or St- John where geography is totally different. You speak of Vancouver as being an suburb of Seattle. Friend, it’s North America and there’s one culture, one language, one type of city. You can’t wish Canada were a Spain, France or Italy lookalike. If you want a taste of Europe in Canada, then why not move to Québec. With New-Orleans, Québec city or Montréal are the two places with the more European cachet. I understand you like the proximity of European cities and countries and I’m happy for you that you now live in a city where you feel alive and happy. But please, don’t take Canada for what it’s not: Europe. It’s an extension of US. as for weather, it’s a northern country and Vancouver is the London of the west coast. Rainy but mild.

If, you aren't a disciplined person then you won't succeed in western countries especially Canada imo. I see people constantly complaining about being bored, but I rarely see new african immigrants mix with groups outside of their home culture. That results in NO building, no reputation, little to no African districts or recognition at all throughout the provinces. It's a shame.\nThe carribbeans did it right in Toronto and it's why their culture has spread in that city. What's the point of moving to another country that is deemed diverse and not trying to gain a mixed friend group? They can learn from you and help you level up while you promote your culture. I think relocating to Canada and subsequently leaving is a product of not having proper information or having a misconception about a western country before moving there in the first place. There's an emphasis of 'you really have to work hard' for new immigrants which they generally take for granted. Quite frankly, only sincere people empathize on hardwork. I find that most people seeking suggestion/advice always want to start from the top to bottom rather than bottom to top. Every society has it's own challenges. New immigrants who have just been in Canada for only 3years get frustrated while comparing themselves with people who have lived in Canada for 15 years. Growth is a gradually process, when it's automatic it's too good to be true!! All these similar countries run the say type of system, you gotta love where you chose to live. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. As far as Canada being boring, where have you been? Being bored is a choice, I've lived here my whole life I'm never bored. Having said that I am retiring in Thailand where I can afford to retire.
