If people supported the freedom convoy instead of complying with government policies, Canada and major cities wouldn't be as bad. Governments exasperate these issues and citizens have the power to make sure they don't get worse, but living in bubbles don't enact change from municipal to federal levels. In all the countries there is a simple rule: the government increase the purchasing power OR they increase the salaries. If nothing of the two get done, you're automatically doomed. No matter where you want to go, especially when you are western-shaped.

As someone who moved Canada 3.5 years ago, I agree with all the reasons mentioned. There are many things government could have done better to fight against the inflation, housing crisis, high cost of living and rise in crime and homelessness. I don't even want to mention about the taxes. Like I am almost giving half of my salary to the government yet they are still taking %13 more on what we spend on, yet I've never seen a single place where that money was used to address any of these problems. One of the reasons I moved to Canada was to have a better life style, more buying power and better future for my future kids. But at this point I feel like I am living in a zombie land. High skilled workers will have some other opportunities elsewhere but refugees and low skilled workers will be stuck in Canada and it will get only worse with the current policies.

So, what’s most of the $$$ that has been given to Gaza over the years been used for? Hospitals? Schools and universities? Old folks homes? Orphanages? Housing? I've never been into geo politics or the dispute between Israel and Palestine but, the more I learn of it I'm stuck in the middle just now as I still don't know enough facts about everything, but I definitely think his answer is correct unless there's an underlying agenda that Israel sees which I don't.
