I listened to your chat. I did not appreciate some of your reasons for why people leave Canada. First of all life is what you make it. There are lots of things to do if you are interested in being active. Canada is a very beautiful country and there are lots of places to visit and enjoy. \nYou need to educate yourself about what people are paid in the US and Canada. The minimum wage is a lot higher in Canada. I suggest that you leave Canada and then you will appreciate what a wonderful country we live in. Go to Trinidad for example and buy groceries ...pay over a thousand dollars a week for food, then tell me that food is too expensive in Canada. (25.00 for a box of cereal)!Go to a hospital there and you will wait for a whole day just to be seen. Yes, we have a shortage of medical doctors and nurses here, but they are trying to fix that. Sure we pay taxes, but if you or someone in your family needs a heart transplant, a knee replacement or whatever, you will get it FREE in the hospital, and while you are in the hospital, your bed will have sheets and pillow cases. Drive your car on the roads in Trinidad and the potholes will ruin your tires, not to mention the frame of the car. Your taxes also maintains parks, roads and bridges for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. The government has no control over the weather, so complaining that it is too cold or rainy is up to mother nature. During the lockdown I am sure you received money from the government to help you, everyone did. Do you think other countries paid their people money to help them get through this crisis?? NO!\nI love Canada, it has been good to me and I never regretted emigrating here 42 years ago. I go traveling to other countries and I see how other people live and I am happy to come home. No wonder my uncle hardly sends me money... lol... I love CA but never been there. I have thought about this move to CA but here in Nigeria I have about 5 years career growth in HR and I am currently a team lead and by next year or before the end of this year my promotion to supervisor is very certain plus I work remotely and pay not bad atall but can get better lol... I live also in my folks house cause they leave somewhere else in another state and not staying in that house makes it an empty building... leaving all those behind to start over again in CA makes me feel bad... My sisters Canada is still a good country compare to Nigeria where there is no good infrastructural facility, power and security of lives and properties. Canadians don't pay much more than Americans in taxes. Infact, the taxes for rich Americans is higher than for equivalent incomes in Canada. However, Canadians get much more from their government than Americans. I think the reason why Nigerians complain in Canada is because the initial process of getting documents and setting down is too easy in Canada, so when they settle down to work and realize that they actually have to work hard to pay for the goodies, they begin to complain

I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. The depression you get in the winter is so bad that it affects you physically, mentally and spiritually. Canada has changed for the worst over the years. It no longer is a paradise for the poor immigrants. Heavy Taxation, bad healthcare system, corrupt government, extreme weather condition, high cost of living, boring, work and life imbalance, discrimination, traffic and the list goes on. My two applications for PR have been rejected. As it turned out later during federal court hearing, it was by a mistake at the IRCC's side. I had to study and work in Canada for 12 years before becoming a Canadian. It is so frustrating to know some people just get their status illegally. Or even legally - some get their PR as a gift from the government even before coming to Canada.

Spot on with everything. I always rant to my friends about all of this. I’m moving to Europe from Toronto. I have a few options thanks to my work but still trying to decide which country. I guess theres a reason most Europeans don't immigrant to Canada anymore compared 2nd/3rd world countries. \n \nLifestyle, food quality, work culture etc. I love F1, soccer and European history, so thats always a treat while im there. It's an immigrant quota goverment tax scam. They need self sustained educated immigrants to raise tax money for the locals without being a burden for the government. Once in Canada they don't care how you do. As far as technical or high pay occupations they are controlled by unions which make gualifying degree holder immigrants pay exorbitants amounts of money and go though so much red tape that make it almost impossible for them to practice in their field. Their degree qualifies them to come to Canada, that's all. Once in the degrees even if better than Canada's standards, they are worthless. Engineering, medical fields are run by unions whose only purpose is to ensure Canadian born high payed proffesionals in those fields and others are guaranteed a lavish life through an endless pool of ever growing customers for a short list of elite board certified providers. It's a scam, a well thought one red seal approved by Ottawa. Get your foot in the country to escape the hell in your origin country, work through towards your citizenship which is always handy to have and bail out for better opportunities else where outside Canada. Every province has good and bad qualities, except Ontario. I lived in Ontario on and off for about 20 years. Not one good thing comes to mind about this province, not one. I've also lived in Quebec and Alberta, both great. Ontario is like the armpit of Canada, it just stinks, definitely because of the government overreach, extremely high tax robbery on everything you buy, very high cost of living compared to both Quebec and Alberta. Both Alberta and Quebec are wayyyyyy cheaper to live than Ontario, and to be totally fair, the people in Ontario seem to be the most narcissistic i've seen within 3 provinces i've lived in, and with the worst roads. So much car repairs every single year from just driving on the main roads, which are basically just pot holes because they line their pockets with the taxes instead of using the money to fix the roads. The people in gov make so much money, there is none left after their payday to fix the roads or build any parks or things for families. Ontario is actually a bad place to live, especially with other good options available, it's the only province i don't recommend moving to if you want a decent quality of life. You can't even find a doctor here unless you live within or drive for 2 hours to get to the city. It's extremely inconvenient and expensive for no reason other than tax grabs and high fees for every single thing you have to do in life, there's a high fee for that in Ontario.

I left Canada more than 10 years ago. Canada is not a fair country for someone who works hard like me. I used to work 10 hours a day and 6 days a week. After tax deduction, my income is almost the same as the next door neighbour who plays video games all day and getting paid by government's unemployment check every month.

Anyone in Quebec would likely agree that they are the best province. However I have yet to meet anyone from outside of Quebec who would agree. Quebec seems to get the most government handouts and assistance including by means of taxing other provinces to pay for Quebec's needs. BC is going down hill as the real estate industry divides the rich and poor to a breaking point. Sask suffers from this issue too as entry level jobs are brutal, underpaid and cost of living rises insanely. Canada is screwed in a lot of ways...

For a guy like me living in India, this is a sort of cultural shock! I never knew this side of US and Canada. I guess that’s something to do with the type of governance. It seems like it’s a baggage of capitalism. Focus on “you”. When India was socialist (still is, to a lesser extent than 90’s, people were more open. If a person was going to city from village, a dozen of villagers would accompany him till he boards the bus. That’s gone. Here, sometimes, the socialising is too much. You’ll be asked about personal questions like why are you not having a kid. When you’ll get married etc etc. Some people feel big cities are better. There is socialising but people mind their own business. I am so very glad that I was born and brought up playing and dancing on streets!!

Honestly I like this place..looks very quiet and peaceful..I'm from India and we also have lots of places like this especially government quarters or private industries quarters but the only difference is that we have more trees,houses were fenced and people are more social..I m blessed that I spent my entire life in such areas instead of some overcrowded congested places in Delhi or Mumbai loll..you will get to see the exact scenario especially during the day time in summers when people tends to be indoors but they comes out in evening everyday hanging chatting and playing around..and if you have some good friends then you really don't need any schedule lol..i still remember me along with my cousins and friends use to roam and wander around the locality even in the daytime in the scorching heat of summer when everyone was inside loll and we used to play volleyball or badminton till midnight..it was such fun and beautiful life..but unfortunately these days people are getting more reserved and more into themselves..

I just went thru an episode trying to get answers/help from government services and officials. Zero accountability from anyone. I am born and raised here. I have no where else to go. I have no hope left…it’s very sad.

It takes me 3 months to get a doctor appointment in the US here in Seattle and I was just told several months to see my eye doctor. Depending on medical plan the insurance means you do not go to the specialist without a referral. So Canadians may not have as much to complain about. My parents were immigrants to Canada because it was easier (my father was in Danish Merchant Marine and was in China Sea when his appointment would come up in New York). They did not have it easy because they did not speak the language and worked hard to learn. Working as a housekeeper was the norm for females and my mother's education meant nothing when she expected to work in a bank. Danes stuck together and helped each other to get jobs, with carpentry (most had apprenticeships like brick laying), to socialize, etc. and this is normal for immigrants. Working multiple jobs was normal and having a great home was their American dream instead of a government apartment. It is true for all immigrants that their kids will do better than the parents. The kids will have no accent if they learn English by age 12. There are age cutoffs on learning a language in child development. During the hiring process the jobs are given to people the interviewer perceives as being like themselves. This is proven by psychologists (I am one). This puts immigrants at a disadvantage unless they have a rare skill without competition. Dad got his house and Mom took my sister and went back to Denmark because of health issues and the US has garbage medical care and social services for the elderly (poor sister didn't speak Danish because it wasn't allowed in case it impacted our English skill). As a daughter of immigrants I worked 20 hours days and weekends almost all my life. I put myself through school and have been successful despite being female and making much less than men. Immigrants need to realize that it will be their kids who make the big bucks and succeed while the parents who immigrated will struggle. As a cultural mix (US, Canadian and Danish citizen because of wacky sexist rules) I have had a lot of confusion over the years trying to fit in and figure out what my values are. I have had to ask my US husband is that behavior normal? Of course different states in the US or going 200 miles north to Canada means a different language to speak (Canadian or Spanish in the South) and different values, ways of dress, etc. so being an immigrant can mean just traveling 200 miles north or to an insane state like Texas or New York. Culture shock is everywhere but most of us move for the money. I am thinking of going back to Canada but my home was Vancouver and that now looks like a hell hole. My husband had over a million dollars in medical care and I really do not wish to lose all my assets to medical costs in the US. So now I am trying to choose between death by earthquake in BC somewhere or death by tornado or perhaps fire storm in Calgary due to climate change.

This is achieved upon completing an English language test either in the form of IELTS, TOFEL or CELPIP. The average cost of these tests can range from CAD 300-350. And they have a expiry date, usually around 2 years, because as we all know, speaking English is an acquired skill which you can abandon if you so wish, so they need to make sure you still speak English after 2 years or so. Funny enough, if you speak French, it is a completely different story, as a lot of provinces invite specifically people with strong French skill, and Quebéc has the right to make independent decisions of policies on immigration, as Quebéc is not a signatory on the Constitution Act of 1982, so they reserve the right to making their own policies independent from the federal government. (Did I mention the fact Canada is officially a bilingual country, but New Brunswick is the only official bilingual province?) This discrepancy in language preferences of candidates can be elaborated by the TR2PR pathway that was announced in April 2021. (Did I say math? Oops, a little politics won't hurt anyone) Getting back on maths, on this date there are 196,685 profiles in the CRS pool, which equates to around CAD 590,065,500 in ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING FEE alone. 2 years later it's gonna be another, and another, and another........you get the idea right?\n\nCanada welcomes you to spend some money, but there's no guarantees.

Actually most employers just wont employ you if you dont have experience and thats a major problem for everyone here. Tho natives like myself do get support from the government.

Now that Canada is controlled by dictator-for-life Justin Trudeau (the biological son of Margaret Trudeau and Fidel Castro, leader of communist Cuba), Canada's future looks very grim for those who want individual freedoms and believe in rule of law. The country continues to be in lock down and will probably never get out of it. The government threatens to rescind retirees' pensions and health care if they do not comply to gov dictates, particularly in regard to vax mandates. The darkness of totalitarianism lurks everywhere in that beautiful country. Better to return home to be with family and friends.

My grandparents immigrated from Italy and Ireland. They never got nice warm Canada Goose jackets, clothes, Nike shoes designer jeans, free English lessons or welfare. They paid there way, bought their land and found work LEGALLY, paid to learn English.\nThey did not steal unemployed Canadians jobs going through Trudeaus let’s hire out of the country so our government funds part of the wage. What we get are lousy heath care workers who barely understand or speak the English language and are caring for our Elderly and mistreating them. This I saw first had. I took my Mother home out of a senior home and cancelled home care as they never showed up on time. Would they leave there parent in a urine soaked brief for 5 hours as that is how late they were. I had to quit my job to take care of her. I myself am disabled with a spinal injure. The worst part of “Home Care workers” is that they wanted me to call in and cancel so they got paid. This statement gave from the Home Care nurse in charge of these immigrants working here. Seven of my friends, who are educated health care workers, which they themselves paid for, not paid my our government. They can’t get a job. The last job I applied for and they ask you status I put that I am a Canadian refugee in my own country. \nPretty sad when on Remembrance Day you have these woke individuals begging for money to help refugees. They should be ashamed of themselves for this disgusting action as this is a time to remember the men and women who fought for our freedom. Trudeau is a total embarrassment to all Canadians. He brings in more refugees rather than helping Veterans and homeless Canadians.

Canadian born and raised I found this video very interesting as a lot of Canadians blame the immigration for lack of jobs and feel they get more help from Government then local Canadians do.The anger towards them is a problem people don’t seem to want to talk about and would rather pretend it doesn’t exist but I hear it all the time and see it at work.I think this information should be more widely spread so people have a clear picture of both sides and hopefully the resentment will stop because all I’ve seen is anger resentment and a scary growing hatered
