Sadly these comments are full of racism, condemnation, and hatred, with no consideration for the possibility that this could have been you, a family member, a friend, or a loved one driving that truck, but for the grace of God go I. Anyone of us could have been driving that transport and found ourselves in that exact situation, but I'm sure none of us consider ourselves to be evil, just human, imperfect, and succeptible to momentary lapses of judgement, that can result in horrific, life altering accidents(eg a child drowning in a pool, a child falling from a balcony, a car accident, accidently striking someone on a bicycle, accidently striking a pedestrian etc).

Oh, hell no! I love visiting my American friends and family, but Canada is a much safer environment. It never feels safe when there are people who walk around with guns. Also, I have a health issue that would bankrupt us. California or Hawaiian Weather would be amazing, but I live in Victoria, we do okay weather wise.

I love Cape Breton. Canada is a big country. Our family immigrated to Halifax and then lived in Lake Simcoe area, then Kirkland Lake, Ontario, then lived in three or four homes in Edmonton. But the population of Alberta has tripled since I lived there and the population of Canada has doubled. Cities are mostly the same in the U.S. or Canada. I've lived in Philadelphia and Boston and on the coast of Maine. Maine and Nova Scotia share much in common. Cities are the problem: over-crowded, expensive, lacking decent employment, crime infested, etc but this is true in most of the cities of the world, whether in India or U.S. or Canada. Solo's hundreds of billions of dollars that the government's going to take back and taxes from us all draw the cost of housing through the roof. Instead of at the time redirecting half of those two it was 500 billion take a half of that investment in putting it into infrastructure technology innovation for industries. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. I do find it slightly offensive that a lot of new immigrants new Canadians immigrate to Canada to purely exploit it for its wealth Canada should be looked at as a place to come put your hard work in the struggles the ups and downs? and look at it as your home instead of you know a piggy bank but people are going to leave and there's a long line up to get in I've seen in my 40 year career you know three major reps and three major downs. What's happening in Canada's economy and the economies around the world it's all the same the US economy's doing quite well and talked to last couple of weeks friends that have invested their and families have been there long-term at present the United States is building a war economy so there's money pouring into that effort it does have a booming you know Hi-Tech boom as well however the tech boom is offshore with American companies and it's taking place in a part of the world that no one would think it would take place so if your graduate in the tech industry go online do a little research you'll find out where it is the USA is building a huge chip factories I think they just poured in 70 or 80 billion dollars we're in a transitioning economy don't get discouraged put your head into it do your homework find out where these new jobs are coming from which jobs are not going to be here. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys

I have lived in Toronto for over 20 years. I love this city, but I can no longer afford to live here even with a great job and decent salary. When I received a rent increase of 10% for my 1 bedroom apartment on January 1 followed by a 3% annual salary increase shortly after that, the writing was on the wall. That gap is never going to close and things are going downhill fast from here now that I'm at a point where rent eats up more than half of my monthly earnings. The 30% rule is and has been a joke for a very long time. On top of that being mandated back to the office and forced to take the TTC which is a non-stop gong show sealed the deal. I'm leaving. I have decided to move back to Winnipeg to be closer to family, where housing is still affordable and I'll still make a better than living wage. Never thought I would find myself returning to live there, but now I'm actually looking forward to it because the downsides I used to focus on no longer exist when the high possibility of ending up homeless is removed from the equation.

I'm born in the UK to Serbian parents, but grown up in Norway so I've seen three different cultures in my life all at once. I always liked Canada for being diverse because then I wouldn't have to switch between being English, Serbian or Norwegian, I could be more me because I am basically multicultural. For years I've idealised Canada and it wasn't until just two weeks ago that I got to visit and see for myself what Canada is like. I was in Toronto and also in Vancouver visiting a family that moved there from the UK I hadn't seen since I was a kid. I loved the nature (Especially Vancouver my god!) and the people, but I learned about how extremely expensive housing in Canada is to the point that it would be hard to make ends meet just renting a place let alone buying a house. Also how immigration is out of control and those who do come to Canada are disproportionately from one country being India rather than many different, which is not good for maintaining diversity. This is something I saw having lived most of my two weeks in Mississauga just south of the airport.\n\nI hope you guys finally get someone better in the next election, because I have more hopes for Canada than I do for the UK. Born and raised in Canada. The rising cost of living is just depressing and I’ve basically given up on starting a family because of it here in Vancouver. I know that in order to move out of my parents house, I’d have to get a full time job, eat instant noodles only, and have at least five roommates in order to continue living here. Minimum wage in BC is $16/hr changing to $17/hr but living wage is at least $26/hr last I checked. It’s so sad because I love it here but it seems just seems impossible to be hopeful .

I understand. I'm going back to Europe after 17 years!! I'm a certified teacher with a brilliant teaching career in Europe and I cannot teach here. Everything is so expensive and I cannot make it anymore. I agree, it's just very sad, it's our life, our dream. I am an immigrant, close to become a Canadian citizen. I chose Canada to live with my family and I love this country. \nThat said, I could not agree more with what was said. Things are completely out of control. We can't bring that many people and have no infrastructure to support them. Housing, health care, everything is in a crisis because of Trudeau. TLDR; I am an person from a wartorn, oppressive country, and I unfortunately do not have many options to choose from other than Canada to have a chance for a better life.\n\nLet me tell you from the perspective of a person whose dream is to come to Canada: I know all this already, I know things are going terribly and the cost of living has gone up significantly. But the unfortunate thing is, the country I am from, is currently in turmoil. I do not fit in there as a person and hate the culture. Its incredibly corrupt with no growth. I am more western, and open minded, and my original country is a strict Islamic country. I do not fit there at all.\n\nI know Canada has all these problems, but its my only choice for a better future, I dont want to go to US because I dont wanna die, also, EU wont accept me unless I am from EU myself or speak their language which is a catch 22. Australia is also becoming a shithole. That leaves Canada and NZ. NZ doesnt have that good of job prospects and limited scope and I love Canada, always have. The weather and everything that comes with it.\n\nYes its not perfect, but I think its more about knowing that I can go back to a place, that is not dangerous for me and my future family, where I will get good care if I am stable job wise. Once I am in Canada, I will probably buy my own land and use that to have a trailer home there since they are still cheap, save my money, and probably retire in Philippines. \n\nI dont believe everyone else should do that and yes I know trailer's costs depreciates with time, unlike a house, but I dont care about that. I came here as an international student, back then you could only get your PR if you studied at an accredited university, not a career college. Back then skilled workers were required, and that is how you were able to get a PR. Canada has changed so much, multicultural has left and more and more there are two cultures dominating. I came here because I use to visit for our annual holidays then decide I liked the culture and wanted to study here. The landscape has shifted , Canadians will soon be the minority and that is not the Canada I want to be paying taxes in. \nThere are always protesters waving foreign flags demanding that the government help their families, love ones in another country, meanwhile Canadians here are loosing their homes , can't afford food, basic life necessities and living in tents. Charity should start at home first.\nResponsible tax payers cannot afford to have kids, why because the taxes we pay are too high, if we're struggling to survive why would we subject a child into this world to experience the same. However, there are millions of dollars in incentives for people who never paid in to come to Canada with their extended family members who are dependent on government support, that we the taxpayers have to finance. The aging population could be address if the affordability could be address for citizens living here and PAYING taxes. If the government wants to bring in aging populations who never worked in Canada, their families should be funding their living here including healthcare, not taxpayers. Invest in your people first , help Canadians become more skilled to fill positions that there are shortages, lower taxes to allow Canadians to have said families and replenish the population , these are the people who would always put Canada first.

I feel like moving as a lifelong Canadian. I love people and love culture. I spent a couple yrs downtown Toronto when I was in my older teen years and that was before the open drug issue and even back then it was bad u had to watch out for being robbed or r@p*d it was so bad back then I ended up going back home and choose jail over the streets. Got my shit over and done with and since then life has been good changed my life 360 and have a loving family 2 sons and now I’m up living in Algonquin (beautiful area)

This is very true. I am an Austrian citizen that tried to immigrate into Canada from 2021-2023, I worked my ass off, working 2 jobs for most of my stay and living as cheaply as possible. I still burned through all my savings and a significant amount of money my family sent me to help out. I had an accident and waited for hours for an ambulance to show up, they transported me to a different city because in this town none of the two hospitals had a fucking X-Ray machine. Then the next morning the hospital in the other city kicked me out again, with a fucked up back, because there were no beds available. Had to call my neighbours to come pick me up again (thank you Tracy, love you) because I couldn't get home anymore. Lost one of my jobs thanks to this and started a different one, couldn't afford live in BC anymore and moved to Winnipeg because I heard live there is cheaper. It is, but not significantly so, but you pay for this by living in terrible conditions. Rent was still high, salary was shit, the public transport system is.... Existent but not reliable and the city is so incredibly dirty. There's garbage everywhere. Between my apartment and the nearest dollar store was one garbage can and that was a 20-30 minute walk, here in Vienna there's garbage cans everywhere and thanks to them the city is cleaner. \n\nAnyways, I gave up on moving to Canada and came home. Still dealing with my fucked up back (though it's getting better thanks to Physio and a good doctor) and the debt I accrued in the last few years. But my apartment costs less than half for the same size, my job earns me significantly more money, my phone plan is better and costs less than half and the food is both much much cheaper and much much better. \n\nI am happy with life now. Thank you Canada for showing me how bad even other parts of the developed world are, I really learned to appreciate Austria while I was away.

Quebec #1? You've got to be kidding! Great maybe if you are fluent, and I do mean fluent, in French. Otherwise you're treated like a second class citizen. As a tourist destination it is fabulous. The best food ever throughout the province. Old Quebec City by far the most beautiful in Canada and Montreal for the marvellous shopping experience. All fine for a fumbling in French tourist, but moving there and trying to get on in fractured high school French is a whole new and not so pleasant experience. I lived in the province for just under 2 years so my comments are based on that experience. After travelling the country extensively I settled in Northern Ontario to raise my family. Now retired I live in Canada's largest city Toronto and love it.

I lived in the city on and off as a kid and I saw homeless people every now and then depending where I was. I fell in love with the areas I lived in and seeing where my dad grew up and high park. Now I don’t feel safe. I don’t even think I’d feel safe bringing my dog down and visiting my family. Now I see a lot of people homeless in nicer areas and just everywhere. It’s truly so sad my dad even said that it there was problems when he was growing up but now it’s just so much worse.

I truly believe that Canada is made stronger by the contributions of new Canadians from all walks of life. \n \nOn a personal note, I am so grateful for the love and acceptance that my daughter's partner from India has brought into our family. Their relationship has taught me so much about different cultures and traditions. If Canada have back door for international students, they should have resources for homeless-especially single homeless-to afford the rent or own apartment. For example, single Canadian should be half interest rate than partner if they have RRSP, and people if they can't afford the rental fee, gov should be paired the roommates for them to rent a place for a tempare home. And the job marketing should be do more for that, gov can give a little bit taxes benefit for they hire the people are homeless and getting help from gov in the first year. \nAnd gov should be provide more NGO to support the relationship consulting to Canadian for to know how to easy and healthy into their relationship (marriage or family). If gov wants people keep fertility rate in Canada, it is time to do more.\nI prefer reduce the percentage of discount of University to Canadian more than forget to original cause reason-people how to love and happy in Canada, they should be more kids from Canadian who loves and royal to this country.

This kind of attack using impersonation by foreign country agents to target some people like me and many of my friends. Unfortunately most Asian and black and Latino people easily get fooled and used as a tool for attacker to target some people. Drug problem is another big issue in Canada and USA but fortunately gun violence is less than US. Healthcare getting worse everyday. Bad neighborhood experience which destroyed my health for life mostly because of spoof call attack. Bad policing which killed many innocent people. Woke laws and culture which marginalized men who are driving force of society. Very weird working experience. Work for yourself or get enslaved by another employer that's why people would love to work for government. Housing prices skyrocketing in big cities and there is no foreseeable future for its remedy. Cold weather for six month of year and at the end COVID force closure killed many of people and hospitalization was so bad. Anywhere there was no hospitalization people life were saved. There is no open market like many countries which are backed by government to buy goods in reasonable price for low income people. Very restricted laws for driver license. Life in Canada is far from normal kills you or make you disable for life without getting you paid. Now I disabled for couple of years and I'm outside of Canada and just my family saved my life because I couldn't work because of disability due to spoof call attack which cause severe peripheral neuropathy. Even there is no any protocol for this illness to get cured and forced me to see many MDs and cost me lots of money. Just stay away from Canada which is a nightmare and my sickness cost me not be able to protect my family and died because of that. Canada is a hell

If I didn’t have family in Canada, I would go back to the USA. Vastly overpriced here. Lacking tremendous leadership, yet America is presently worse. My hope though is the recovery rate is better in the USA. Global respect and support is far better in USA. A melting pot mindset rather than major diversity….better weather also. Yikes, I better get going.\nOne thought though….Canada should not sit back and say how the world loves Canadians due to their past contributions. They should be striving today to build a dynamic society. A society that is self supporting, strong, dynamic leadership, productive.

I honestly thought that these two were kind of strange, when I first viewed their content and that by accident.\n\nHowever you got to RESPECT THEM, for the fact that they didn’t just boycott Western consumer products in show their support for Palestine.\n\nThe biggest thing you can do is if you are able to leave the Western countries and no longer support them thru the means of PAYING TAXES in funding the GENOCIDE!\n\nSo everyone respect these two and pray for them and their family because they made a move that even the so called religious people that talk a big game and then pay interest/riba on everything they so called own, would never do because they love the world too much thru materialistic means

You guys are from the okanagan ?? We (hubby and i) have considered moving from Canada as well. We are baptist and very very few churches preach the same things we preach here.. so can understand how you feel. We also hold similar beliefs to man and woman etc. It is discouraging being in a country claiming to be for peace and love when they're actually very hateful (mostly to religious ppl or disabled )\n\nGood for you protecting your family. We are against what Isreal is doing ! Free Palestine!
