Tariffs on Canada would likely reduce real gross domestic product to zero in 2025 if implemented beyond a year and lead to a 2% contraction in 2026 with a peak unemployment rate of more than 8%. Trump told Canada if you did TWO THINGS, there would be no tariffs on Canada. One, stop illegal immigrants from pouring into the USA from Canada. Two, stop illegal drugs from coming into the USA from Canada. Did Trudeau comply with President Trump's request? If so, there must be a lack of communication to verify what has transpired. If not, then Trump imposed tariffs for lack of compliance. Now, if Canada has already complied yet the Trump admin imposed tariffs anyway, then that is a slap in the face to our neighbors to the north and the American people should be outraged and let Trump know it.

I called the Canadian embassy in Washington DC this morning. I told them as an American citizen. It saddens me and breaks my heart that we are treating our allies with such disrespect. I do not stand with the United States government and their treatment of our allies. I also called the Mexican embassy and told them the same thing. I didn’t announce Trump in his cabinet and what they’re doing to our economy that we have worked so hard to resurrect again after he was president last time. I, urge every person who does not agree with what is going on to call the Canadian and the Mexican embassies and just let them know that we stand in solidarity with them and against our government here!

I love how they try to tell american its best to let us suck your blood dry because trade war is worst. Hey trudeau things are already bad so how bad can it get. America sink we all sink. So fair trade is the solution, good job trump.

It’s really annoying that CNN continues to babble on instead of letting Trudeau finish his press conference and then proceed with their responses. Our country is in the hands of a madman along with Musk and other cowardly Republicans who are in office. I'm Danish - we have a big movement in Denmark to boycot American goods. The US has failed in so many ways. They will learn - perhaps to late - what the price is. In the mean time I urge people around the world who supports Ukraine, Mexico, Canada and Europe - who supports the right to freedom - to buy goods from each other. Lets join together with Japan, Australia, South Korea etc - let's show the US that YES, they were important - yes they WERE the leaders of the free world - but they lost the right to that title the moment they selected Trump for president again.
