The educated and thinking American people ( who are the majority of voters and unfortunately 1/3 did not vote) know that Donald Trump has lied to us. We understand that Canada has no fault and no role in contriving this trade war. We also know that the Fentanyl problem has little or nothing to do with Canada and that the majority of Fentanyl is brought into the USA by US citizens. Most American citizens do not want this. Donald Trump and is an opportunist. He does not care about the American people . He cares about himself and his money.

Dear Canada. We the people the good citizens of these divided states do not condone what trump is putting your country and the rest of the world through! It will be tough for both sides, the US and Canada. But the Canadian government has its people's support, while the majority of US citizens do not support Trump and his government. The US will be a sad, lonely planet in the middle of the world. Shame!

First acknowledge that a country has the right to control its borders. The US has lost its Aircraft industry (Boeing), its Car industry (Detroit) and now its Semiconductor industry (Intel). Millions of unscreened people are infiltrating. Trump is trying. In the case of Canada and Mexico tariffs are counter-productive. Its tough to turn a declining empire around. His strategy is to tax foreign goods instead of taxing US resources and to force local production. The US citizen pays either way.
