If Canadian doctors are going to move to the U.S. then please come to rural Oregon, we are low in primary care doctor all across the U.S. but rural areas are the worse.

I am a senior and live in Vancouver, BC and my son who has dual citizenship lives in Seattle, WA. His wife and him will move back to Canada when he retires. I visit Seattle and enjoy going there. The shopping is great fun especially with all the big store headquarters being there and we can't forget Trader Joe's. I don't drink alcohol anymore, but the cost, volume and availability is crazy. He also lived in New York and lived a train ride away to the suburbs (great system) and was a lovely area to raise a family. Visited NYC and loved it. I've lived in Montreal and just love big cities. In saying all that, I think were all basically the same, however I could never permamentally live in the US. I can no longer afford the outrageous travel health insurance to travel to the USA because of my age and health issues. I have a primary doctor and four specialists that I see on a regular basis, waiting for a hip replacement and none has cost me a cent. Oh yes, I get free dental care. I wouldn't move to the states, but would sure like to visit again. Politics is a whole other subject.

All they see is Indian people working in tim hortons, So many Indian pharmacists in Canada, Doctors etc..But I guess that is the mindset they have developed.

I lived in the Florida Keys and loved it but the bumper stickers that said Yankees go home made me wonder how they felt about Canadians. I was injured at work and was taken to the hospital were work paid the hospital bill but when the nurse said go to the drugstore and buy a bandage they will be cheaper then if I put one on you. That was a rude awaking as to where I was.\nThe next was I was living with a nurse and at the hospital they brought in a person that had no ID on him. He had been in a terrible car accident but with no ID they would not treat him ,so he died. Turned out he was a Doctor from Key West driving to Miami . The hospital staff were in shock they had let one of their own die. In Canada they would operate first and worry about money or insurance later.

American here. Can’t say they act like that where I live. The worst they do here is raise the grades, reduce violent crime and my personal complaint- They drive the speed limit. That will wind up giving me high blood pressure. Good thing they’re mostly doctors here.

They are violating there visa they should be kicked out it’s crazy how they all move to Brampton…. There are other places you know they are international students you are supposed to come to study then. Leave . Most people that come to study in Canada from different countries they leave after graduation. You can even check the m number of people from different countries that leave and most do only people from\nIndia so leave . Canada is not all that great it’s good most of the time high taxes . . They abused the food bank system . We need less immigration that’s what this is basically a back door into the country most of them don’t really study anything worth studying. Canada has a shortage of doctors and most don’t even study MD?‍♀️. These noun credited colleges make so much money from these students. It’s a big fat business .

Oh, no… our emergency room wait times average is probably around 3 hours (give or take). While 15 to 20 minutes sounds absolutely awesome, it’s not happening here, unfortunately. And that’s because we don’t have enough medical doctors in emergency care. The majority of them are in private practice, (because it pays better) and even then, there aren’t enough doctors for our growing population. I will admit, though, if you don’t want to go to a hospital emergency room to be seen you can always access walk-in clinics which are all over the place. You don’t have to pay. You just show your OHIP card (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) and the wait is probably less than an hour to be seen. Our Walmarts have walk-in clinics, for example. Easy access, less wait times. Of course, these clinics are not for major emergencies such as heart attacks, bleeding, broken bones, etc., but they definitely come in handy if you don’t have a family physician.

Yes I was, after Trump got elected no. Disabled human rights are horrible here and as compensation for lawsuits can be capped in cases that is unlikely to change. I should state the government had to pay me $25,000 dollars for violating my rights (this cost me $35,000+ in legal fees!) so I know of what I speak. It was the same when I moved provinces. In terms of mobility my fate was better in the 4 third world countries I visited after my stroke, there are no busses in loads of places here as we can’t “afford” them. Also I should state the government tried to make me site an NDA that would not allow me to state their behaviour, this should be illegal where government money is concerned! On to health care…. Why do disabled people struggle to get a family doctor when they move provinces? Also why did the mother of a Ukrainian disabled kid have to go back to a country that had been invaded to get help for her child that was having convulsions? She got no help here and her child was in our system by then and her husband has been paying taxes since I got him a job here 3 day a after landing. Yes there are a lot of good Canadians but this situation has become much worse and Canadians are masters at ignoring things. There is a Ukrainian flag flying from my cabin not a Canadian one. I went to the US to support a friend suffering a serious life threatening health situation. I asked what the survival rate was for the condition and the doctor literally looked at me and said what does her bank account look like. I was gutted.

??Canadians should be thriving but we are not. We should be working before visitors but it hasn’t been that way. Canada has been welcoming of others, to its citizens detriment. The medical system is a nightmare. Our citizens are dying because of wait times to see doctors and specialists. Once we do get in for appointments it is impossible to understand the doctors because of the accent and mix language. We need our Canada back.

Too much southashian students came for work not ful time studying. They,took Canadian job making too much unemployment, housing,trespotation ,long time for doctors appointments, making grouping to the in religious meters. Many years ago (I am 82) my husband was a post doc at Princeton. In case we wanted to stay in the USA a few years we became immigrants. While many people were pleasant and interesting , we hated the general culture there. The racism, medical expenses, the lack of public parks, public transportation , etc. we found very unpleasant. I became pregnant. My doctor who was kindly however had to suddenly flee the state as his wife was having him arrested ! He gave me info about places my child could be born on our trip home if necessary at our last meeting for I decided that my child would definitely be a Canadian! So, we packed up and left the month before my son was born. LOL.My recent ancestors are French Canadian, British, Scot , and I am descended from a Loyalist Niagara area family - but am also descended from every founding ethnic leader in the USA! Even several on the Mayflower! So, most Americans are my cousins! I think they have gone astray!

My wife is a doctor by profession (neurologist) - they tried to persuade her to move from Germany and Norway to work and live in Germany and Norway, but we stayed here in Latvia and after several years we have realized that it was the right choice where to live and build a life for ourselves and children. :) In Germany you have to speak German and that's how it should be.

You can wait for awhile in emergency room but intake nurse determines the level of importance if it is serious you are in right away and the rooms get busy with people that don't need to be there or don't have a family doctor but there are many walk in clinics for minor issues

For every doctor or engineer that comes from India, there's over 1000 McDonald's, Tim Hortons, Walmart workers and dangerous truck drivers without proper training that we don't want or need. Canadians can fill these jobs and are ready to take them back. Canadians need money too and being Canadians, we are FIRST!!!!!

I'm a newcomer, and I agree with the points, and I see that people are blaming immigrants in general, but they don't think in the structural flaws that we have in the government system, I found a shame the public transportation in some of the biggest cities and in other public services, and I found that could be easier the validation of diplomos, we have doctors and engineers driving uber, because they can't work in their profession, and I feel that they are putting limits in the immigrants from one side, but they have no limits in refugees, I understand that they need help but should have a limit that the structure can hold.

Send them home. They already invaded Canada. Don't let them come in to the USA. They come to the US to study Medicine(Doctor), Engineering and IT the they will stay. Taking jobs away from my fellow Americans?

The housing shortage is a common thread to the economic/ housing crisis! But why aren’t they building rental units??? Simple, would you build a plane if your passengers simply boarded the plane and refused to pay?? if that were to happen the offending passengers would be de-planed and arrested! \nBut when it comes to renters, they can move in, stop paying rent and it can take 6-12 months to legally evict them. As a former contractor I have been witness to landlords offering cash to tenants and squatters to leave their properties which have always been left trashed and badly damaged! The laws that protect these criminals are a joke and predatory tenants know it! I had a client who rented her condo to a lawyer and after a couple months the tenant stopped paying. She filed for a writ of possesion and waited months for the hearing. She brought all the documentation and the tenant showed up claiming they had cancer ( no documentation, letter from doctors Nothing!) The writ of possession was denied for compassionate reasons! The landlord had a mortgage and was paying the condo maintenance fees, the tribunal didn’t care! \nThey set it aside for six months. In the end cash was offered and the tenant left! After the massive clean up and damage was repaired it was put on the market! This is how far left Canada has gone! There’s simply no way forward!

What everyone needs in Canada right now are as follows : 1) affordable housing; 2) decent employment; 3) reliable and dependable healthcare. \n\nI agree that immigration process needs to be made harder and stricter. Choose quality over quantity. \n\nFocus on getting new immigrants only in specified fields such as a) healthcare (doctors, nurses, healthcare workers); b) trades (construction/plumbing/carpentry/electricians/farmers); c) tech (IT/AI/Robotics...) and no need to bring students to do useless courses in management/finance and other fields.\n\n\nDevelop other provinces besides Ontario/Quebec/BC/Alberta; build new townships and create jobs in these new towns; build more airports, highways, break monopoly of state owned air carriers and increase competition; ban all labor unions; decrease bureaucracy and regulations and keep it at a bare minimum; increase and improve work efficiencies

In Canada now Canadians are so angry at Indians coming here on fraudulent papers, conducting themselves like savages without any morals or standards. Turning every restaurant they work at into a biohazard public health danger. It's absolutely sick and these new Indians are majorly racist towards white people. Indians are being beat in the streets now on a daily basis. Canadians are starting to fight back and send a message. Do not come to Canada. There is no affordable housing available for anyone.! There are no doctors for the majority of the population now. Hospitals are forced to close. Our Universities are heavily subsidized and Nurses and Doctors take advantage of this, If Trudeau/Pierre wants to stop our doctors and nurses who graduate going to the USA right after school, They should make them pay back the portion of their education that the taxpayers paid for and never received any healthcare from, It should be you have to work in Canada after graduating for 5 years before moving out of Canada, and if they do, then they pay around $150,000 to break the contract compounded with interest from when they started and finished university/college. I know someone who graduated Nursing in the 1990's, She went to a convention in Toronto, Where she was quickly swayed to move the USA, Its because Nursing here is a 3yr course in the USA its a 6 month course, they aren't educated nearly as much as Canadians, A Canadian nurse can be a GP in rural areas of the USA, Also the Nurse I know within a year was made head nurse of her ward, Bypassing USA Nurses that have been working at the hospital for 10+ years, due to the extra education, This is a big problem, we are educating Nurses and Doctors for the USA and other Nations funded by Taxpayers, Sure Nurses and Doctors do also pay some, but its closer to 1/3 of the actual cost, the other 2/3rd's is taxpayer funded. The problem of Canada is not migration or international students. International students bring millions of dollars to the country. They pay fees 3 times higher than local students. The problem is the economy, provinces, municipalities, private sector and professional newcomers are unable to build houses, apartments and provide services for more than 1 million of newcomers per year. The economy is completely closed to international companies, engineers, doctors. There are big monopolies who regulate and rule the market in association with a WOKE socialist government. This is why Canada doesn’t grow and isn’t able to provide services. It’s more like a third world country , banana republic or failed state.

It all depends what your doctor writes on your form. I have had MRI,CT ultrasounds and vists with specialists within days , you must push for your own health many times MRI's and CTscanners are sitting idle at night, many were done in the evening

Try and be a good person.....period.\nCanada is a huge country with many variables in taxes, climate and culture. In southern Ontario I shovel the driveway about 4 times a winter. Winter is mild now compared to the 60's. \nI try and aviod processed foods that are taxed as opposed to most groceries that are not taxed. \nHealth Care has gone downhill in the last 25 years. \nBut, no one goes broke paying hospital bills. Fortunately health care where I live is very good. No wate times or problems. But, it would be great if nurses and doctors came to Canada!!!

I dont think there are enogh doctors ir hospitals to cover everyone in the US. I dont think the system could handle it if anyone coild go. They woild need more hospitals and staff to cover all the people that would go if it's free. Sadly many would put off going to save money until its too late. That is the worst aspect if a co pay
