Then we don't see one or another country as our own or someone else's, but as rooms where we get the opportunity to learn some parts of a whole life. \nThis story of yours is only a segment of life to come. On this planet, everything is in cycles at every point of it and in every single country. \nWhat did I see in your video story? \nA lot, but nothing special. I'm sorry, I get that Canada is crazy expensive but your lifestyle is very expensive. Everything is a choice and you choose to travel and live in a very expensive city. I moved here in 2016 I and my husband had full-time jobs and we saved most of it, now we own our house and next year are going on our first vacation.

I came to Calgary in 1983, and since then, I've seen Canada change for the better and worse. I moved back to my native country of Malaysia in 1997 and lived and worked there until 2012. I can honestly say that my native country is so much cheaper to live. I don't need to wait months to see a specialist and wait over an hour to see my family doctor despite already booking an appointment. Doctors just want to get you out of their office fast so they can see more patients. Got a second health concern, well, book another appointment. What a joke! In Malaysia, I can get full body check-ups, including x-ray, ECG, and blood work, including results the same day. What's the use of free health care if the service takes donkey months? I've decided to move back to Malaysia in about two year's time and enjoy the warm weather and cheaper cost of living. Canada is a GREAT country, but the elected government just screwed things up. The final scene at the new Canadians rally is nice to see. But what you’re not seeing are the THOUSANDS of people who aren’t success stories. People who bring nothing to the party but still need a place to live. I’m fine with immigration, I think Canada is a better place for being diverse. But you can’t just keep the tap on when the glass is already full. We need to turn off the immigration spigot for a while, catch up to get our services and housing to a level that is workable, then look at turning it back on with a smarter outlook on the numbers to bring in.

Man I love reading the comments in this video! We also face a similar challenge in other countries that housing is a crisis and governments keep bringing in all sorts of immigrants, from refugees to highly skilled people (like myself). I have switched 5 cities and the story either gets more worse or less worse. Half a year searching for a decent apartment? Some search for years! It's a full time job. The government gets back to my request after many months! Foreigners offices are packed with applications and citizenship is taking years long now. Getting a doctor appointment (psychological issues) within a year is hard, unless you pay from pocket or are in grave danger. We are being squeezed in here and they started new loose immigration policies to be more attractive to foreigners. Address the quality of life at the same time!

I thought of moving to Canada too, but it felt really impractical. Canada is expensive, even to locals. This is what you get when you prioritize corporations over people, making the rich richer, and poor poorer. I am an immigrant myself , cameto canada 15 years ago from India as a student. Back then we dint come to get PR but to improve our skills , there was really only 4 universities we all came to UoT, mcgill, Uof A and BC, to do our postgraduate studies in engineering, medicine and business. We applied only when we got full or partial scolarship….. i now work in a canadian base cmpany as mid level engineering manager. .. the quality of indian students coming in has gone down …kids enrolling in diploma mills and their strategy is to work in tim hortons, because the paid 25 k for tution they are entitled to pr and a job … crazy

If you put yourself in this system, kurudi home itakuwa ngumu. You are also just one paycheck away from being homeless. \n\nCost of living is overly high. You work for bills. Some people get subsidized housing, but those housing are not the best places you would want to live. Mostly in poor neighborhoods and neglected. \n\nI came here and took myself back to school. One of the programs I did was an eye opener Leaderahip program. It gave me a glimpse of who I am and what potential I carry. And boom, I realized this is not my place. My life is not just about working and paying bills, it’s more. And this more can only grow home. Otherwise I will keep working with slow growth in employment, and come back home when I can’t live my full potential \n\n\nIf you have to, leave, come to Canada. Exposure is worthwhile. Make sure you take a technical course, avoid debts. Go back home and grow with your country. \n\nKenya is our Canaan.

I wish I also got 1400 a month, free food, free housing, free everything. Hell, I work full time to pay my taxes and my bills, while supporting my elderly mother and disabled brother. But people like me, do not get any help. To even place my brother in these facilities and programs are a pain, but he is in the process to. I believe India is the best country to stay because:\n- Rents extremely high in developed cities . Property prices unaffordable in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. People are paying life long EMI till death.\n- Teachers focus more on Private tutions to make money. If you don’t take lessons from them, they will fail you in education system \n-Government doctors more focus on Private practices than their Government jobs. In ICU doctors sometimes sleep because they are tired for their private pactices.\n- Court takes decades to settle court cases. \n- Extremely high inflation - Food prices uncontrolled \n- Retirees not worked for Government getting hard time to pay bills specially medical treatment cost. At age 80 , all top insurer declines coverage when you need coverage otherwise premium is extremely high so that you can’t afford \n- Middle class is pressuring their kid to get admission in a reputed Private school and still has to pay high amount of donations.\n- Modi wants to make digital India which is great.
