Trump is trying to end a war it’s not the same thing. We don’t need Canada if you haven’t been to America then you don’t know. We can make whatever you can make and better we can grow anything and more then you can just bc of regional weather. Canada is mad bc they make a lot of money off of us and trump is changing America and getting what it’s worth. America always pays more for imports and exports , why? and yet with out American people buying y’all’s stuff you your government will fall gotta keep last and for most gotta keep Canadian politicians payed as far as I know y’all haven’t had to worry about prices in y’all’s country. For years we have been paying more for stuff that should be made here or we pay less. Plain and simple we are getting what we are worth take it or leave. It will be funny when he cuts all exports from Canada it will take a little bit but we will compensate ans there gonna with they just took the 25% little saying over here is you never know what you got till it’s gon.

This entire administration Trump, Vance, Elon and all the unqualified cabinet member on his team need to be REMOVED from office\nI grew up in Detroit and went to Canada 1-2 times a week growing up, it is a great country with very good people. Trump has the right to do what's best for America, but Canada needs to start building a strong partnership with more stable and predictable countries like China and certain EU nations. Prime Minister Trudeau is boldly hitting the nails on the head, and I admire his boldness and honesty as I've always admired Canada and its peoples. Trump is in the back pocket of the Russian dictator. His actions prove it to my satisfaction. Canada has been a staunch friend of the US, a real partner not just for economic benefits for both countries but for a democratic way of life. Canada is a strong democracy whose people are known for their open hearts and minds. I pray that this idiotic trade war started by a man who is subservient to Putin will come to an end. I grew up 30 min from the Canadian border. Canada has always been a neighbor and a friend. I cannot believe what has happened to our government and I did not vote for this. The majority of America does not want this and do not want Trump. Please know that.

What a crock of shit. We pay 10\ntimes the tariffs on exports to Canada as they have paid the US. Now it’s an equal playing field and he’s whining and lying like he always does.

It's not always true Canada doesn't stand with a murderer. A convited murderer of former Bangladesh President along with most of his family members has been sheltered in Canada. Despite repeated requests from BD government to extradite him Canadian government especially Mr. Trudeau didn't bother to take any action. It's like kind of cherry picking!

The real reason for the tariffs is because it has never been fair for the United States we pay more taxes for products in Canada in Mexico in Europe and it's always been like that and it's sad that it has to come to this in order for everybody to pay their fair share. That's the real reason. it'sad that countries are mad because they can't continue to rip off the United States. if there's fair trades there are no tariffs period

Looking in from the UK Trump has just gone 100% rogue for the west and 100% for Russia. By splitting USA V Canada V Mexico trade which he signed of in his first term he has now supplied Russia with the split they wanted. I seem to recall the whole tariff thing started when Donald wanted to even up the 200 billion dollar subsidy to Canada which doesn’t exist, then he chose the immigration and fentanyl crisis that doesn’t exist … can’t wait to hear the next excuse. I would love to hear the real reason for this, and we will one day. I have no doubt that we Canadians will survive this nonsense as we always do.
