I hate comparisons between US and Canada. I do not think there is a country on earth that can compare to Canada. It's the 2nd largest country with one of the smallest populations ever. The United States has at least 10x more people than Canada. Stats and graphs honestly mean nothing because percentage does not take into account the actual number. 30 percent of 35 million is waaaay different than 30 percent of 350 million ! This year the lottery in the US WAS 2 BILLION DOLARS, In Ontario there is cap of 70 million.

I have always said that racism may be worst here in Canada than in the US. I have had to fight racism and hate in a major Canadian crown for about a decade plus and still fighting myself...

As a Canadian I find this utterly terrible. These migrants will either add to the chaos of the mass housing crisis, crime and antisocial behaviour Stateside which will ultimately spill onto Canadian borders. People easily give up their freedoms for safety. Broken health care system. Chaotic place with a lack of cultural identity, selfish people, divided country. Full of woke virtue signallers. They are running towards a different kind of poverty here. Some of the places they are running from (mexico), economically have potentially brighter futures than here. The kids might be kicking the parents for this when they get older and see the places where they came from, have better standards of living than the place they fled too. India included, they have the potential to become an economic power house. We hardly produce anything here, and our government chokes off our natural resource exports. We have too big of government, too many regulations, too many taxes. Who would do business in Canada? Name a Canadian company other than shopify. Blackberry... Oh wait its dead. Canada is becoming one big California with crappy weather. I wish Alberta joined the US tbh.\n\nSummed up. Canada is a big ponzi scheme that relies on the greater fool theory. At some point it will get harder to attract fools to want to come here. We are lazy and non-productive, our GDP relies on a housing bubble. We also have this smug arrogance over here like we are somehow better than Americans.

Biggest difference USA has was more places to live every variety of climate you could ask for. It has way more opportunity because of the higher population. Way more jobs, way more national parks. They're extremely similar countries but I have to give it to the US is the variety of places to live. Canada may be bigger but most of it is a desolate wasteland. The only nice places to live in Canada are cities directly on the border. As far as how nice people are Canadians are just polite not always genuine. If an American is nice to you odds are they actually like you or they're someone you can't trust. But generally if a Canadian in nice to you they could hate your guts. An American seeing how Canadians act gives them a idolized view of who we are. If an American doesn't like you you'll know it and if they do like you you'll know it. This is the perspective of someone who grew up on a border town.

All people living in countries with nationalized health want to continue the lie that it actually offers quality service. There is so much proof everywhere that this is not true. Canada is a perfect example.\n\nAs someone who worked for the largest hospital chain I can tell you that 30% of our revenue at hospitals we owned along the US northern border came from Canadian citizens. It kind of makes you wonder, if Canadians get amazing high quality free healthcare, why would they drive to another country to pay for it? \n\nThe truth is anybody in the countries that have socialized medicine that can afford to, ops for private care. That is a fact worldwide that nobody likes to admit. Long waits to get treatment. Long lines once you get to the facility. Piss poor quality care by people who hate your guts because every one of you has entitled lightest coming out of your ears. But why shouldn't you… you've over paid for the shit your entire life and now it's time to use it so you think you should be treated like royalty.

Please Don't Judge Canada by Toronto. I have lived an hour away from Toronto my whole life and I hate the place. It does not represent us at all.

Definitely agree with the stupid pricey flights within Canada. Also agree with warm southern hospitality in the US, lived in TN, SC, GA and the people were so warm. \nThe thing about Canadian politics being boring might not be such a bad thing LOL. So people vote are less likely to vote based on the personalities but maybe more about the policies. Also less hate between parties (that might be changing bec of Trudeau...)\nAnd yes I am very grateful that one can drink tap water here in Canada and it tastes good. Sometimes the everyday little things are the biggest gifts.

See, cities being less compact is something that I prefer. I hate super compact cities. Also, you can’t compare cost of living in LA to cities in Canada. The cost of living in California or NY is considered outrageous for most of the US. I’ve been to Canada and remember thinking it was way more expensive than where I’m from. You can say nobody wants to live in the other places, but I personally don’t mind. I have no interest in being in the “hubs.” Oh, and tap water varies here too. I’ve been all around the US and St. Louis area tap water is amazing whereas some places I’ve been it’s terrible. Really just depends.

Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

If you like Canada but hate the cold, just live in US West coast states . Colorado, Montana, BC, Alberta, Dakota are basically the same place.

Disgusting populists can get bent. We need to support CANADIANS not the vulnerable of the rest of the world. We have our own vulnerable. We need to take care of them first. Our economy doesn't need more cheap labour, it needs more well paid labour. We need the price of housing to come down and that means lower population density. If businesses can't find enough employees then boohoo, PAY MORE. Replace the minimum wage with a living wage if you want to grow our economy and population, rather than the pocketbooks of the rich while they scab off the new cheap labour and continue paying meager wages that are getting our economy nowhere but benefit them greatly. This is cultural genocide and you need to stop, NOW! You don't see us burdening India with an additional 500,000 political refugees per year, now do you? They wouldn't allow it. We shouldn't either. I am angry about it and I hate my government for being such horrible sell-outs while throwing Canadians under the bus for a business bribe. I'm never paying taxes again. NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION! What a s^%t hole fascist country we have become. it appears I was never appreciated and my hard work here was for some foreigner to get ahead, not me. As a kenyan living in the UK for the past 7 yrs ,i came into conclusion that theres something not right about nigerians living abroad, among all africans ive met here in England, its only nigerians that never loves their country compared to other africans, ive met south africans ,cameroonians ghanians ugandans malawians liberians and Gambians all of them are proud of their respective countries and they tend to go back whenever they get the opportunity, i inclusive i do go back to kenya like every december coz i just cant stand being in the UK the entire year without going back home for a couple of weeks ...when it comes to nigerians ive met over here theres something always off, they hate their country sooo much to an extent one told me nigeria is a country in ICU ,some even told me they can set foot in africa but not nigeria..so nigerians tell me wats soo bad about your country that you tend to run away from it, even in my home country kenya there are estates designated for nigerians..Besides i prefer being in UK than in north america coz of the distance i cant imagine being in US or canada coz of the flight hours ,they're sooo far away from my country i love it in the UK coz its closer to home and i dont need connecting flights in most cases when going to kenya.

I hate to say it but it's true... I live in windsor ontario Canada, when we were kids it was like that, im in my 40s in the 80s and 90s we played outside whatever we wanted. it all started with internet becoming big with social media, and I'm guilty of the video games, them as well as soon as we got Nintendo as kids my parents would make us stop and go outside, but as we got older u started seeing it less and less until where it's at now no kids playing outside very rarely I do see it in the summer but it's very true it's very sad

Any place in Canada would be preferable to the US. It is not my first choice. Just so I get out of US. There is NOTHING good about the US. I hate this country passionately.

Why is everyone surprised Canada has immigration laws??? We do not hate ppl who want a life in Canada but you need to inform yourself properly before actually showing up here.Canada’s immigration system is not unnecessarily strict like the us, but that doesn’t equate to anyone coming here. Yes I ran into racial profiling when I wanted to ask why CBC is biased and won't report fairly. Blacks arent the problem in canada as much as it is in the US. There was no KKK here. The people that do deserve the knowledge is the Aboriginals.
