After they spend such a huge amount of money and time to go through the process, you are telling them to go back. It’s not fair. You can implement the rules for the future but not for the one who already crossed 80% process…. I’m one of those new immigrants, originally from China. I’d like to share my point of view on this subject. For immigrants, sometimes the number one reason to move to another country is the harshness of their home country. In my case, China is not a pleasant place to live - everywhere is overcrowded, housing is insanely expensive, and job opportunities are mostly concentrated on big cities. So, if a young person like myself stayed in China, my only option to make a living is to join the rat race with another million people, work 60 hours a week, all for a 2-bedroom apartment. The minimum wage in China is the equivalent of $4 Canada dollars per hour. I don’t earn the minimum wage, but this should tell you how underpaid workers are over there. I’m ok with working hard and I have worked hard my entire life, got two degrees before 25 while studying as a non-English speaker, but I can’t bear the thought of not being fairly compensated for my work. In a freer and more transparent society, at least worker’s rights are protected. I could have chosen other countries to migrate to, but Canada seemed to have the fastest processing time and highest chance of accepting at the time, so I took the opportunity. I’m sorry for the Canadians who got caught up in a poorly managed immigration system. All I am saying is, if you are in my shoes, you would rather take this chance to move here - this could be the one of a lifetime window of opportunity.

I just watched a bus get dropped off at an immigration visa service place by my kids school. Follow the money and see the problem b who’s making money off of people from conflict countries who would do anything for a change of location. Starting in 2001 it took me 5 years and a long series of bureaucratic hoops to jump through to get Canadian citizenship. I’m originally from the UK and had a PhD in neuroscience and was doing post-doctoral research. I’ve since had a long teaching career in colleges and am proud to have given something back to my adopted country. It now seems that Canada allows almost anyone entrance, with little rational objective or consideration for the Canadian workforce or culture.

I loved Canada and I wanted to integrated the culture here at the time I became a citizen. I became a nurse and worked hard till covid mandate rolled out. This country had been shifted to dark world. I am considering going back to my origin. I don't know the identity of Canada anymore. It is very sad.

For hardworking working- and middle-class people under the age of 50, regardless of where you live, where you were born, or what you do, your future is worrisome. I'm originally from Canada but I've been living in the US for the past 15 years. I transited through the Vancouver airport recently and almost EVERYONE who worked there was of South Indian descent (won't generalize - but from the Indian subcontinent). It was an astounding thing to see. It's really changed since when I was younger. So interesting to see and such a contrast from Southern California. Although, if you go back 50 years, they probably said the same thing about Eastern European people.

Not too far from me is a shelter. Once a gigantic Toronto Hydro building now just a gigantic building that houses immigrants.The immigrants in this shelter all originating from Africa. I have yet to see, white, asian or brown exit this building. It houses both women and men. No families with kids..that ive noticed yet. They seem to be treated very well. Everyone looks happy, healthy and full. They enter and exit freely and usually have their best clothes on like they are about to go to church. Food is is delivered to them everyday. Fully cooked meals ready to be eaten.. and im sure brought in multiple times a day. Incredibly gross of Canada

Every would-be student who thinks Canada is a better country to live better think 500 times, not just twice. In 2024, if you moved to Canada, you will not only be living in poverty for decades. I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. TLDR; I am an person from a wartorn, oppressive country, and I unfortunately do not have many options to choose from other than Canada to have a chance for a better life.\n\nLet me tell you from the perspective of a person whose dream is to come to Canada: I know all this already, I know things are going terribly and the cost of living has gone up significantly. But the unfortunate thing is, the country I am from, is currently in turmoil. I do not fit in there as a person and hate the culture. Its incredibly corrupt with no growth. I am more western, and open minded, and my original country is a strict Islamic country. I do not fit there at all.\n\nI know Canada has all these problems, but its my only choice for a better future, I dont want to go to US because I dont wanna die, also, EU wont accept me unless I am from EU myself or speak their language which is a catch 22. Australia is also becoming a shithole. That leaves Canada and NZ. NZ doesnt have that good of job prospects and limited scope and I love Canada, always have. The weather and everything that comes with it.\n\nYes its not perfect, but I think its more about knowing that I can go back to a place, that is not dangerous for me and my future family, where I will get good care if I am stable job wise. Once I am in Canada, I will probably buy my own land and use that to have a trailer home there since they are still cheap, save my money, and probably retire in Philippines. \n\nI dont believe everyone else should do that and yes I know trailer's costs depreciates with time, unlike a house, but I dont care about that. I dont think of houses as investment and I never will nor I will participate in that practice. Everyone has a right for home.

I came to Canada as an immigrant in 2020 and immediately went back to my original country. However, I feel sorry for the nice people of Canada that unfortunately don't have other choices. You feel that the Canadian system is designed to make people poor.

If Canada have back door for international students, they should have resources for homeless-especially single homeless-to afford the rent or own apartment. For example, single Canadian should be half interest rate than partner if they have RRSP, and people if they can't afford the rental fee, gov should be paired the roommates for them to rent a place for a tempare home. And the job marketing should be do more for that, gov can give a little bit taxes benefit for they hire the people are homeless and getting help from gov in the first year. \nAnd gov should be provide more NGO to support the relationship consulting to Canadian for to know how to easy and healthy into their relationship (marriage or family). If gov wants people keep fertility rate in Canada, it is time to do more.\nI prefer reduce the percentage of discount of University to Canadian more than forget to original cause reason-people how to love and happy in Canada, they should be more kids from Canadian who loves and royal to this country.

Due to mass immigration and foreign investment especially into housing in recent years has resulted into extremely high property values by manipulation and now increased high interest rates. High corruption has taken over. It’s time for these highly skilled immigrants and (students)help to build up their countries of origin rather than to move abroad. Just saying, the face of Canada has pretty much been taken over and turned into new Asia. Canada isnt Canada anymore. ?‍♂️

Immigration was fine up until the Liberals decided to become globalists. Before that all immigrants were united under the Canadian flag. The Canadian experience, being Canadian, and honoring the Canadian tradition were all real things. Then the Liberals came along and pushed Canada into becoming a multicultural state where everyone became a hyphenated Canadian. Fast forward to today and the hundreds of cultures in Canada are all in Silos, caring more about their original homeland over their adopted home. They've even brought their ancient disputes with them. It's a sad state of affairs. Ultimately designed to divide people, kill the Canadian identity and keep Liberals in power indefinitely.

Why so many video like these ? If not happy here, just fly back to original home country and forget about Canada.

If Canada is not that Good then stay in India. Or stay in your country of origin. Immigration to other people's country is NOT a right.

It's better to stay in your country of origin since Canada is waaay to expensive. It's gotten crazy with the housing costs.
