I can't live in a place that still tries to force me to take a clot shot, in Canada there's still a lot of pressure. I prefer to stay out of communist countries.

Racism. In Canada it's become equal opportunity racism, but Caucasians will still be forced to take the blame, 100%. As a Canadian Filipino, the racism directed towards me comes from the Chinese and Indian community. The experiences of my Caucasian wife depend on what community we happen to be in or travel to. She is as much a foreigner in Richmond BC or Surrey BC and subject to the same racism as others face.

I would still take our medical system over the American system without a second thought. Though I would be in favour of a parallel paid tier that's integrated with the public tier so that the public tier benefits from the profits and investments.\nRegarding financial technology, the perspective here is slightly short sighted, although to some degree, I agree. Compared to the US we have had debit (Interac) at retail point of sale since the late '80s/early '90s, and email money transfers (Interac eTransfer) since the late '90s/early '00s, long before the US had anything comparable such as PayPal, and apps like CashApp or Venmo effectively have no marketshare in Canada because of the long history of having email money transfers.\nLastly, for the cell phone plans, you are 100% correct, though we still don't have true unlimited, and only on plans including 5G service. However, there are some mitigating factors such as the high ratings of the network quality and stability for all major cell carriers despite wide swaths of our geography having little to no population and rugged topography. It's not an easy country to cover properly or reliably without it being expensive. Though Canadian telecom and cableco profits are through the roof, as are those of the big 5 banks. We definitely need more competition, though I'm not sure foreign companies coming in are the way to go with this.\nAlso, technologically speaking many important technological and scientific R&D is being conducted here and innovations are made here all the time, but in many ways, these companies get traction outside of Canada long before they get traction here.

First let me say that every country and I do mean every single one has their pluses and minuses Canada's major plus is the fact that crime is almost nonexistent as opposed to the United States where there is a mass murder every single day and a mass murder defined as four or more people killed in One Time by one person this does not even count where there is just two or three people killed at one time they're not included in the statistics the United States is out of control with violence guns you name it and I've lived here for 40 years I spent the first 20 years in Canada in my life was so perfect that I can't even dream of a better life the problem with most people is they move to the larger cities Vancouver Toronto I grew up 40 miles outside of Montreal on the great Majestic St Lawrence River one of the truly great rivers in this world my parents had a summer home on the river and every summer it was water skiing fishing boating golfing swimming you name it growing up 40 miles outside of Montreal if you wanted The Nightlife of Montreal one of the great International cities in this world then you could just drive there in less than an hour and enjoy the great nightlife that is Montreal as someone who is French and Italian I loved the winters because ice hockey was my favorite sport and I played all the sports nothing even comes close to the speed skill and excitement of ice hockey it is like soccer on steroids they're only two cold months during the winter January and February and even then it's really enjoyable as long as the temperature stayed below 32° I was happy because that meant that they could make outdoor ice rinks and I could enjoy my favorite sport of ice hockey all winter long Outdoors as someone who's lived all over the United States over the last 40 years I wouldn't trade Canada for any place else the United States is full of scammers I've been in all kinds of businesses working for different companies and there's rarely a company that I didn't get cheated by and had to take to the labor board for justice and compensation I trust nobody the main thing here is stay away from the major cities of Vancouver and Toronto and you will be able to have a great life with affordable housing and if you're into the outdoors Sports Canada is the greatest and best secondly Canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world and so there are a lot of Natural Resources that Canada has that is wealth for the country that will filter down to the average person what people don't realize is it when you live I've lived in Southern United States and most places the summers are unbelievably excruciatingly suffocatingly miserably hot hot hot at least in the Colder Weather you just put on some great looking ski wear and you can be outdoors and not be bothered by the cold because you eventually a climatize yourself to it Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and has only a 35 million population there is a lot of room for growth and opportunity and in a safe safe environment to raise a family and at the end of the day that's what it's all about I wish I could say the same for the United States being safe but no it is not and Mexico is they have six out of the top 10 most dangerous cities in the world and Tijuana is the most dangerous city in the world with almost 2000 murders and the year is not over don't believe me just Google it the reality is that the drug cartels control everything in Mexico and the police and politicians are afraid because the cartels are so ruthless there is way too much money to be made in selling drugs and the cartels will stop at nothing to make sure they get their money by the way most of my family still lives in Canada and are doing extremely well for themselves and I am the only fool that moved to the US

What about the high fees and narrow ... In the education area international students who are forced whipped to take 3 / 9 even if they are sick, broke or have finally one subject left. ( sky rocket fees with so much biasness among coloured and Muslim students )\n\nCanada cares about family values, ( really ) my friend's husband died and her children have grown up, 6 years, no reason but it's Canada. \n\nWhy restrict students with their 3/9 to sponsor their partners, during these times of uncertainty ( pandemic ) we'll it's too hard but everyone and everything that tries to fly with eyes folded will crash land sooner or later. \n\nThe Canadian system is ? slow and too bad but squeezing the juice out of every new comment.\n\nI am an interior student with good English and am still unable to sponsor my husband. 4 years up. \n( alhamdulillah no language barrier, no criminal records, husband knows French, Engineer in profession, international experience... )

You're not correct about the Quebec government banning the hijab - actually they ban all forms of religious expression in clothes worn at work by public servants - so don't criticize us unless you get the facts straight. All countries are facing public health crisis especially in the aftermath of a global pandemic, you mention how long it could take to get an MRI - weeks/months, but it's no worse than in the UK, or other western countries. I do agree with you about limited competition in banking and tech - but we're still a young and growing country, however, look at the global recession that took place in 2007 - Canada was least affected by mortgage default, the US was hit the worst and hundreds of thousands had their homes foreclosed by the Banks, yet in Canada because of our strict banking policies we were saved and the Banks worked with defaulters to try to keep their homes. Taxes, well most countries require you to file your own taxes at the end of the year - what's so strange about that? Yes sales tax is added onto the sales price depending on what province and what you are purchasing, same as US, just because it's not the same in Europe doesn't mean it's worse! Listen, when you're a newcomer to any country you need to fit in when looking for a job, put in the effort, take the time, do the work, any country is going to expect you to be able to speak the language and know the lingo, so I don't agree with your analysis that Canadians are risk adverse! You are 100% correct about the housing crisis, listen it's been going on everywhere for decades, and international investors in the past 10 years or so woke up and noticed that Canada was a great bet for investment, so the problem got really bad. The government just passed a 2 year moratorium on non Canadians buying real estate - as have many other countries, so fingers crossed no more new foreign landlords just regular Canadians buying their first homes, let's hope so!! I've lived many years in Europe - and I loved it! But the quality of life in Canada is better. If you don't live in the crowded city you can have a nice property with lots of space, good roads, not bad school system, very friendly and helpful people. Quebec has some of the best food on the North American continent, we have clean air and lots of water in Canada - I'm very happy here, so don't be so negative please!

Most of the land is crown land, ( even land designated for logging ) the government allows you temporary camping privileges of up to 2 weeks on that land (you can not homestead on it) , the rest is reserved for agriculture or for First Nations. Only 5% is available for freehold housing accommodation , which is why Canada is in a housing crunch. The availability of livable land is so scarce because the land that was available when the country was born was given away to homesteaders. That meant that the land was given away in large parcels. Now it’s almost impossible to make those parcels into smaller parcels without doing what is called a “land assembly” . A land assembly means a developer buys a sum of large parcels , then applies for a permit to sub divide into a new subdivision consisting of smaller houses. Even then the smaller houses that are built will still cost a small fortune, because the developer and all the people involved take a sizeable profit from the sale of the homes.

I’m a Filipina living in New York for decades and had been all over Canada in the past for vacation… my bf’s mother is Canadian Scottish and now living in New York as well. My bf has still have aunts and cousins in Vancouver and believe you me they are the most racist stuck up people… ugggh can’t stand them! You take care ladies!

People that are immigrants have a hard time,. You have to pay bills, still send money back to family members, it's very hard for immigrants. Also canada take too long to give citizenship.

This video for privileged people, not people struggling to survive. In a country like Nigeria, a PhD holder is applying for trucking driving job and secondary teaching job. They would be grateful to move to Canada for a befitting job and will be excited to pay tax. Many with good educational background don't even have any job at all. At least Canadian government takes taxes and provide good infrastructure. In Nigeria, the government takes your tax and nothing works, no jobs, no security, no healthcare, no good roads or infrastructure. It's difficult to travel inter state without being kidnapped. Your family sells all your properties and pay the ransom but still be killed. You can even be gunned down in your house or on the street just for next to nothing. All my relatives in Canada are happy with their families and are begging me to come. Even people with good jobs are moving to Canada. They're not doing it for themselves for the future of their children, for peace of mind, security and to escape poverty. \n\nIf you're in doubt please move back to Nigeria then you will know Canada is heaven. Many have resorted to prostitution and crime because they believe they don't have any other way to survive. I want to come to Canada not to get rich but to get a decent job and live a meaningful life with my family. I will be more than grateful to contribute to the progress of Canada even beyond paying my taxes.

Like take us to Canada first then we can tell the story. But for now, I feel Canada is still ok compared to most countries out here. ? ? ? but one thing I know is that Africa is great and has a lot to offer.

There's an old say from my country that goes: the cat whose belly is full, always find the tail of the mouse taste bitter. So the immigrant, like a hungry cat, comes to Canada for food( opportunities) and once his belly is full, he then starts complaining of the taste of the food. You ladies just named every single reason why an opportunist can't stay in one place. I live, as an immigrant in the US, and Im a physician, and I can tell you while the Canadian health system is flawed it is far better than the US. Your 8 hrs+ waiting in the ER is literally a standard waiting time...so please be PATIENT! ( just getting a little sarcastic here, i know it sucks!) 35 to 40% of my money go the government ( although i feel they take 50%) and life is not that cheap ( a lot of Physicians leave expensive places like NY because they can't afford them anymore! ) have you heard of HOMELESS workers in LA? ( some have 2 jobs but still can't afford an apartment and live in their cars ) things are hard everywhere, especially if you are an immigrant living in one of the coldest place in the world (btw nobody called you, that was your choice, so suck it up!) I hope one day, while Im still young, I can go back home to work for my people, and not when I retire and tired to have my people work for me, how selfish and opportunistic is that mentality! The Nomad life most of you like, is killing a country spirit and Culture and it's no longer feasible in modern society, since the lands have borders and names and inhabited by people that value a sedentary life. The idea of people going to the foreign countries to get their passport so they can travel the world, sounds so individualistic...which Nation can develop with that kind of thinking of their citizens?....definitely not yours.

it's understandable that people get homesick, but how many people are crossing thru deserts, the ocean, going thru countries like libya, greece, where they're place into enslavement, beaten, having to be exploited as sex workers, and they still haven't arrived to their destination. \n\nthese people what take what you have in Canada without looking back. This is the reality we face after the excitement of moving to Canada fades off. The worst for me is the fact that you get this 'big job' that pays well and after it all, govt has a way of redistributing it. It's really frustrating and it discourages some people for looking for higher paying jobs bcos at the end, govt still takes it. Eh we were all in the same boat as these people or our ancesters were. some of us were taken by the British and forced to come here. So stop whining and be polite to our guests. the government should be building towns on our North shore so we can start selling our resources and Canada could b e a very wealthy country. But too many that have been here for generations still hold their hand out. Even taking from our country for crimes committed years ago by some one thats been dead for years . and it wasn't them that the crime was done to. My wife moved here 25 years ago luckily she is a European trained musician, all her credentials were recognized and she is still teaching music here in Alberta. \nAt first she was very homesick understandably but.luckily we were able to move her aging parents here 16 years ago. They got treated like royalty by the Canadian Government compared to my Canadian born parents showered with benefits even though they never worked in Canada one day. I know this is no.longer the case for new.immigrants but on the whole Canada has one of the most generous immigration policies on the planet.\nI feel for new.immigrants it's a very rough transition to make but after 200 plus years in Canada I thank my ancestors for taking a huge risk in coming here every day.

The Liberals see immigrants as a significant source of votes. With record debt and an already strained health and education systems, not to mention housing prices hitting the stratosphere in major cities, a rational discussion should be taking place re Canada's immigration strategy. I can't imagine how daunting it must be for someone coming here. Yes, Canada is still one of the greatest countries in the world, but that doesn't mean we don't have challenges. I am preparing to run away from Canada mainly because of hidden crime rate that is disastrously high (government targeting of innocent citizens), theft, racism and discrimination. Also Canadian companies do not like forigners to take their jobs and keep everything secret at work place. So new comers will be doing very low-brain kind of job. I was able to jump to very high levels in my profession and was training engineers and managers on electronic industry - even though they still dont want me to learn everything. So going back main homeland I can be more expert than them all. To me, Canada realy sucks.

So happy you're coming to Canada, it's a big country though, with only 3 cities most of us still won't be able to come :( the closest one to me would take me 12 hours to drive to.

I’ve lived in Canada my whole life, I’ve gone through a year of culinary school and passed high school with decent grades. Yet still improving my quality of life is an uphill battle. Bus prices and efficiency is awful, if you don’t have a car good luck cause you’ll spend much of your wage on bus fare and still have to walk through poor sidewalk systems to get to your destination. Schooling really didn’t teach me anything about taxes, or getting a job. But let me tell you I sure as heck know how to lease a car.... can’t wait to get a job so I can do that. My year of culinary training, under 4 red seal chefs has gotten me not one job. No matter how perfect you are for the role is you will ALWAYS get an entry level position first. (In my experience at least) and they are completely right, references are 100% key. I have a first shift tomorrow (wish me luck) that I only got because my chiropractor gave the pancakes house owner his reference. Very weird but I’ll take it. On top of all this winter just sucks, politics have gone nowhere in years, and if you don’t live in the major cities of Quebec, BC, or Ontario it’s going to be even harder. Plus living in Manitoba is odd cause people always call it “friendly Manitoba” but everyone (including me) is always frustrated. Needless to say I’m in the process of researching new place to move to, most likely in Europe cause America has all the same problems. (But worse)

What if you studied in Canada, do I still need to take the English tests?

Canada is one of the best countries to live in period. However, it got way too expensive. I moved to Canada 16 years ago and the prices rose 300-400% including housing, Real take home income is less than it used be. This country is different for everybody. If you came with money and dont have to work then you dont need to worry about the income tax and you can still enjoy all the benefits of living in Canada like healthcare. Tons of people on welfare and other assisting programs. High minimum wage. Underpayed skilled professional. The only ones i am happy for are the construction workers but the climate is so bad you really need to suffer everyday because it is really cold in winter and hot in summer.

I am Italian, lived in Canada for about a year 14 years ago, and since then living in Canada became my life long dream and obsession at the same time. I live in England these days, I work as a Linux engineer and I make more than I can spend. Still I am absolutely unhappy living here, I don't anyone, don't ever go out, I don't feel I belong and likely never will. Unfortunately immigrating to Canada is not an option due to the lack of a university degree, and going to school is really no option for me either. So yes, hearing about these stories of successful immigrants going back home makes me break in tears badly. I'd be happy to take an initial 50% pay cat if I only were given the chance.

So here is the thing about what you have said about retraining and going back to school over here in Canada..\nMy wife has spent ten years going to universities in BC becoming a counselor but now we have moved to BN they want her to spend another 4 years proving to someone in NB that she can do the job she has been doing for 15 years , oh and she is a Canadian!\nI have 20 years experience as a plumber even before I moved to Canada, I prove this to the canadain goverment I can do my job get my visa. Then you have to do this all over again because the unions are really in charge over here, they dont want people like me moving here from the UK taking their jobs as they put it...\nWhy say to someone that, hey you can come over as you are exactly what we need! then tell them they have to go back to Collage and sit more exams and do schooling all over again.. I came over as a Plumber been here ten years and have worked as a plumber in Canada for 3 years tops as it was getting harder to get work, what is the point in this? \nAnd don't even think about leaving one province for another and expecting to be able to just do your job, that is not going to happen.. If I had known what I know now about Canada before I came here I would still be in the UK

Great video, I'm glad you are willing to take off the rosy glasses to talk about Canadian reality. I'm a Canadian born myself and everything that was mentioned in the video is accurate in term of the struggles immigrants face. Canada is a very quiet, safe country and crime rate as well as violence in general is low. But Canada can still be as harsh as its climate so don't be fools, Canada is not Disneyland and it's not for everybody. Cities like Vancouver and Toronto are the most expensive cities in North America (Canada + USA) even more expensive than Los Angeles and Montreal is as expensive as New York. Therefore think twice, prepare yourself and do your research before applying. Using John F. Kennedy's famous quote I might add to conclude: \nDon't ask what CANADA can do for you but what YOU can do for Canada.

Watched a lot of your videos. One thing which have bothered me is that you always have some objection or problem with the Pakistani System which you experienced and yet you chose to RUN away from it, instead of fighting. There are a lot many people who are not as power holder as you were but they fight and take their life share from the same system in Pakistan.\n\nI do appreciate your videos where you are guiding people about different things in Canada, but please stop criticizing Pakistan in your each and every video for every tits and bits you have been through. There is always a positivity which is there in every sphere of life in Pakistan. I do not see Americans as friends to Canada. we have had a softwood lumber dispute for 30 years now. Canada has different laws which Americans will never accept. when it comes to trade, Americans are not Free Trade or Fair Trade but Trade domination to eliminate competition. Boeing cried about Bombardier and secured a 200% tariff, while the Canadian company has no products to compete against Boeing....\n\nCanada still suffers from tariffs on our steel and Aluminum. \n\nAmericans are only friendly if Canada submits.... the latest NAFTA agreement saw Canada accepting American milk.... dumping into Canada at the expense of our farmers. The USA has an over supply of milk and rather than adjusting production to meet demand America is using Canada as a dumping ground.\n\nAmerican companies have come to Canada and destroyed many Canadian companies, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Costco to name a few. these companies push very hard American products while ignoring Canadian suppliers. In no way would the US ever allow such a concentration of foreign businesses to take control of their economy. \n\nThe USA has been the only nation to violate Canadian Sovereignty.\n\nThousands of Canadians have died to protect the USA, but I can find no American who has died to protect Canada.\n\nCanada has fought in many American wars.\n\nCanada has supported the US during its many hurricanes.... I do not see Americans supporting Canada.\n\nIt must be noted that the USA has the largest military force in the world, yet they always ask for other nations to help them in wars. \n\nthe only nation to invoked Article 5 of NATO has been the USA... Hello, I just watched your video. Three years after you made it. I hope you are still with us and a very belated Welcome. Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat. Celebrating obesity is absolutely insane and it sends the wrong message to young people. If a close one is fat of course I love them but I also tell them privately that they are a walking heart attack. It's more than OK to accept someone the way they are but as a friend or family member you doing them a disservice by not mentioning their obesity. \nI'm sorry if you feel I'm being to harsh or critical. I think it is a wonderful thing to share the world's longest border with such a great nation as Canada. I have always thought Canada was like the United States fraternal brother or sister. The Muslims of today are not like the once that I knew and lived with in the '60s and '70s in Iraq. The Arab Muslims were the best people. We Christians had no problem with our Muslim neighbors. The Muslims of today are radicalized by NWO to create trouble in any country they immigrate to. They were created and radicalized by the USA and Saudi Arabia. Our immigration policy of Ahmed Hussain is to bring them in so that they take the power in our major cities. Ahmed Hussain is a bad Muslim. Refugee Christians who are living in countries like Turkey had their interviews and medical test years ago but they are still waiting for their visas to come to Canada. They are sponsored refugees by their families in Canada.

there are dozens of flaws in Canada's immigration system. I am surprised to see that a person who has not spent a single minute in Canada enters the country as a permanent resident . has not paid a single dollar in taxes enters as a permanent resident. has not played his part in Canada's society and doesn't know fuck about Canada enters as a permanent resident of Canada. it does not surprise me to see people commenting about residents living in Canada do not speak English. \n \nI will give an example of the UK here which is far more developed than Canada and have very high standards. first of all, no one can enter the UK as a permanent resident of the UK. even if their partner is British, they will still come to the UK on a visa. depending on how much their British partner earns, it will take 5 to 10 years for them to settle in the UK, provided they pass the residency test in the UK(which Canada does not ask for whether you are in Canada applying for a PNP or PR or you come directly from another part of the world). a person who gets in the UK as a student spends minimum 7 years, if he is not married to a British /EU national to get a PR, most spend 10 for a UK PR(known as ILR in the UK) provided they pass the test for English and life in the UK (citizenship test). in return, the UK offers to its residents what no other nation offers. canada is giving away residencies as if its a leaflet. it's easier to get a Canadian residency than it is to extend a skilled visa in the UK. I have lived in Canada and felt that standard of living in canada is not very high as compared to the UK. so if Canada offers easy residency to people, it is only because they also know they are not giving away something precious :)

I think the government knew about it a lot earlier but chose to ignore it. Many people even still commit visa fraud to gain entry. Express entry is highly vulnerable and used by many people take advantage. I can even name a person. Akhil Choudhary, Misrepresented/hide info about work experience and unlawful immigration activities that he did in USA. What's going on here? How is this man acting bossy after all he's done? I live in China and believe me, you can't do this in China. You will be deported and everything you have will be seized without a single reason. How is he still in Canada? Why would the Chinese respect the Canadian gov't if you won't take actions on people who commit such crimes in the country?

I watch the border crossing show sometimes and when they come back from “vacationing “ in China and pretend that they haven’t brought anything with them and when their bags are inspected they have tons of stuff and have way exceeded the limits and they barely get a verbal reprimand. Let me see a Canadian whose family has been here for 9 generations get away with this. They are dishonest, money laundering scam artists. Yet, Canada still welcomes them with open arms. When will the Canadian government wake up? Having them take over this country is an insult to hard working Canadians and other honest immigrants. When they commit a crime of any type they should be deported. They’re always bragging about how rich their country is, then why do they want to come here? We haven’t invaded their country! Not that any sane person would want to.

Before I moved to Brampton, I had no idea HOW MANY Indians actually lived here. I'm of south Asian descent but I grew up here as a Canadian. I still keep my culture but I'm Canadian FIRST. It's true too, some of them don't believe in deodorant, holy shit I literally had to tell a guy who sat beside me on the bus that he smelled. I know it was rude but if someone doesn't tell these people, they will think not wearing deodorant is normal. I miss the Canada I grew up in. My friends were mostly white but there was a nice mix of us: white, black, asian so we all got along. Today, everyone is in their own groups, strangers are the enemy, there is so much more segregation than there has ever been. Not long ago at a Tim Hortons I heard an Indian guy who was clearly new to the country telling his friend he didn't have to learn English because everyone in Brampton speaks Punjabi, it was insulting hearing that.....Listen up Indians and any immigrants coming here: BEFORE you come here, learn English, LEARN the customs and learn the CANADIAN WAY. You owe it to Canada, give something back before you start taking.

To think that any country on this planet are able to just take in all the refugees in the world is simply not realistic. Yes many Syrian have gotten refugee in Canada but Syria is a whole country at war. Canada will welcome you with open arms but you will still have to follow the law.

I was born in Seattle and left to Canada (married) when I was in early 20's!  This then was a good change for me as Vancouver was a great city compared to Seattle, moved right downtown and had a blast so for a young person (then) was great.  Met some great people from all over the world and had health care, medical/Dental etc.... I worked in the greater Vancouver area for 8 years and it was tough, very strict, and did not help that I was from the states, white bread Canadian seemed a bit jealous that I was there, sometimes not very friendly.  The Europeans I met were actually better to deal with and I got along quite well with them.  The cost of living was about the same as in Seattle.  After about 8 years being in Canada and working hard I saw America booming and the Canadian dollar was as low as $.62 cents (in late 90's) so I took my craft from Vancouver and brought it to the US just across the border, I became much happier working in the States, I took a little bit of bs but not bad from some that I had a Canadian accent (go figure when I moved up there I had a twang) I really never left the united states I will always be American and I have been still working in the US for over 20 years and deal with mainly Americans on a daily basis from all over the State of Washington.  Depending on where you grow up or end up you should never see a border Seattle and Vancouver have more in common than Vancouver / Calgary in fact most Canadians don't care much for the other provinces.  After 30 years of being part of both countries, I can say that people are people both have great offerings and if you took the best of Canada and America to combine then we would all prosper, there is so much both can learn from each other.  Bottom line:I take the best of both worlds and what they have to offer, yes, I have found less expensive goods in Canada than what they cost in the states.  I have seen it from both eyes, and if you cant be open culturally then stay away.

What, did he think he would be given a free ride? Does he actually think immigrating to a new country wasn't going to cost him anything? How many years did he live in the US? And now, in Canada for the last 10+ months, yet he can't speak a fucking word of English? \n\nNow he complains that the process is taking too long, yet, had he immigrated legally (as he should have), it would have taken FAR longer and would have to spend that time inside his home country...\n\nI really don't get his attitude, he feels as though he's entitled to immigrate to the US, even though he made absolutely no effort in doing so legally, made absolutely no effort into learning the most widely spoken language on Earth, so he became a criminal by illegally crossing the border and living in the US for years... Then, when he's about to get busted and deported back to his home country, he pulls the exact same thing, illegally crosses the border into Canada, taking the money he's stolen from the US with him, while STILL unable to speak either official languages in Canada where speaking Spanish is about as useful as a condom in a lesbian orgy, nor making any effort into actually learning said languages, and tries to claim refugee status? Refugee status for what? He's not fleeing any war or conflict, the only thing he's fleeing is deportation to his home country from the US because he crossed the border into the US and lived there ILLEGALLY, he's a fucking criminal... And yet, he STILL feels he's entitled to cross the border into Canada and thinks they'll welcome him with open arms...\n\nWhere do these people get the idea that they have the RIGHT to just enter whatever country they wish without having to go through the immigration process? These processes are there for a reason, we don't allow just anyone to immigrate here...\n\nImmigrating to the US is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... Immigrating to Canada is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... \n\nThe fact that this guy and his family have entered 2 countries ILLEGALLY and stayed within its borders ILLEGALLY for all this time, and in both cases, REFUSED to learn the language, and when he was about to be deported back, he fled and kept hiding from immigration officers... That makes him and his family CRIMINALS, and rightfully so... They should be found immediately, arrested and subsequently deported back to the US to face whatever charges, and then deported back to his home country... Period...

well I am a Christian Canadian and I fear for my life because Islam is a political movement made to look like a religion and Islam believes in hating and killing anyone who is not Islamic and Canada is getting closer and closer to sharia law every time the law here excepts one of Islam's rules and all those people want to do is take over the world and Canada is rolling out the carpet and bowing down to Sharia law but I want to know is this still Canada or is it a Islamic State because it's starting to look like the latter to me.
