Trudeau is too late. Not only do we need to stop giving out work to foreign workers, we need to deport them as well.

The debate about immigration can’t stop at letting people in. We need to talk about deportation.

Yet, i see alot of criminals with work permit and permanently Residency. People who are good to go for deportation. Why don't we start with that? The temporary workers with good records are good for Canada. Stop sending so much money to other countries and put it into housing.

Who else remember how the immigration minister stopped the deportation of 700 Indian students last year who were caught by IRCC to have entered Canada on a fake offer letter from college? ALL OF THEM WERE GRANTED A WORK PERMIT AND A PATHWAY TO PERMANENT RESIDENCY NOW. Remember these leniency while voting out liberals in the next election

If you are here ILLEGALLY you get deported. What part of illegal is unclear? Stop weakening our country with unscreened and unnecessary migrants. I don't think Russia is actively weaponizing migration against Europe. It's just that Russia doesn't care much: if the immigrants come live in Russia illegally, Russia will deport them; but if they want to go to western europe (with free housing, free healthcare, etc.) through Russia, then why does Russia stop them? For what? EU doesn't care about Russia's interests, why should Russia care about EU interest?

I feel lot of this started as a solution to solve the population crisis, and now immigration has ended up as Canada's addiction. People who run out of visa should leave, sure, but it's basic human instinct to try and stick to the better place. Also, if you don't bring value to the country, you will be the first victim of deportation. If you had a valuable skill or strong academic accolades you would not be kicked out, but because you don't, you are getting kicked out, which is more than fair when a country cannot house you without hurting its own population. Two sides to all coins. \nThat said, I see that while the anonymous hate towards immigrants was always there, this atmosphere has changed the humble and polite Canadians into angry ones in open. I think it is government's fault for bringing people here, so we should point our anger correctly. They could ve stopped it at any point in time, but they didn't, and now people who came here like this good life, and yes it is coming at the expense of Canadians. I agree to that, but again, it's the government who bought them here, and filled their pockets, now as humans, immigrants want to stay at a better place. \nIf your read the whole comment. A complete stop on illegal immigration. Send those came in illegally back home. A check of all those that came in under the claim for asylum, background check, history check, vet them correctly. A complete stop on new international students. Close all loop holes that have been used to by-pass our laws. A moratorium on immigration for a minimum of 10 years or longer, that way the legal immigrants can be processed in a timely manner. Anyone who refuses to pledge allegiance to Canada and reject hatreds from their previous counties need to be deported immediately. It is alarming how many young people do not think Canada doesn't have a culture. Sympathy for those with a sob story real or not is over.

So this guy runs a stop sign killed 16 people and all he gets is deported?, no prison time?

I do not agree with his deportation. He made a mistake. He did not have a weapon like a gun or a knife. He did not purposefully run a stop sign. It was a mistake. A terrible, horrible, horrific mistake.

Deporting this man is not going to address the problem. While not sounding politically correct, many many of these new Canadians who are driving trucks either don’t know the driving rules here, or don’t care. Just drive on highway 1 and watch. They need better training or we need more police on the roads to stop the poor drivers. I can’t count how many times I’ve been following a truck with two 53’ trailers and it’s all over the road and if you’re brave enough to pass you can see the drivers on the phone more than looking ahead.
