California here... but my Mom was Canadian and never gave up her citizenship.. wearing my Canada sweatshirt today in solidarity. I hope Canada knows how many Americans are with them and how much we hate what's going on in our country. For the first time in in my life I am deeply ashamed to be an American.

Alberta, Canada: I just returned from shopping and I am happy to say that I managed to spend CAD $450 on groceries without spending a single cent on American products! I buy a lot of organic items and many of them come from California. But putting in the time today at the store and reading labels, I realized that there is a Canadian/Mexican/European equivalent for everything I need ; )

I am appalled by the american journalists. The way they both were talking about it is implying that Canada (e.g. we, as I am Canadian) are starting war against them. There's many reasons not to like Trudeau up here in Canada, many of which are the reason he'll (rightfully) no longer be the PM next week. Just curious why so many support Canada as Americans? If you look at the spending and trade throughout the world, America and Americans have been footing the bill for a long time. I'm Danish - we have a big movement in Denmark to boycot American goods. The US has failed in so many ways. They will learn - perhaps to late - what the price is. Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs. In fact, it's the United States job to keep illegal drugs and immigrants out of the US and they are doing a poor job of it and need someone else to blame. Mexico could retaliate in a way that could flood the US with illegal drugs and immigrants and refuse to repatriate its citizens back into Mexico. The rest of Central and South America could do the same in support of Mexico. I will not subscribe to CNN because so many times, the coverage is missing the mark entirely about trump damage. But today it is obvious that when chosen, the coverage can be spot on!

This is how a leader should speak. He speaks with sincerity and with clarity. He doesnt speak broadly just to an entire audience. He speaks to each group of people that this is concerning to, and making sure we understand the magnitude of this situation. He adjusts how he speak to each group, and also to our sad president. Thats the vibe of the message he was giving me. Many different types of languages and emotions are spoken at the same time.\n\nI love our country, but I do not agree with how our currents presidents policies, changes, and tear down of our government/agencies in just 2 months. I cant imagine the months to come. People are already struggling, and are divided so much more that Americans are not siding with each other, but siding with Canada and Mexico who have been so patient and understanding with us. The dialog between Canada and the US need to come together for a global solution to peace, prosperity and security. Everything is about transactions with this guy. \nThese tarrifs are obviously temporary and Canada needs to speak to Trump on Global issues and yes they need our inports, their cost of food is outrageous. He could have put more security on the borders a long time ago but refused.\nHe will be done soon and he should have been more willing to stop the drugs and ended his term on a better note with solutions. Canada has helped the U.S. many times. What about the Haiti crisis in the U.S? Don’t you all remember, Biden asked Trudeau to step in and we did. Now there is no crisis.
