fellow Anglo-Saxon clowns are fighting each other, this is the rotten Canadian Prime Minister who says Canadians are polite, even though they are America's pawns, in the past a Huawei official who is a Chinese citizen was arrested by Canada on Trump's orders, now they have finally gotten their karma by being charged with tariffs by Trump, the Canadian nation likes to suck up and now they feel how America is destroying Canada, like Canada doing evil to China.

The biggest fear that D Trump has is that China becomes as strong as them. He uses Russia as his ally to physically threaten China. It's now time for the rest of the world to show that his plan can backfire. I think Europe and Canada should strengthen their free trade and investments with China (but make sure that they won't physically annex Taiwan). By making China stronger, Trump will finally realize the value of old friends and how dumb his plans were.

The tariffs are designed to substantially increase the gaps between very wealthy and wealthy, and wealthy and working class within the US itself. The plan will work; that will be the state of things when DT is finally gone. Effects on Canada, Mexico, China and the rest of the world will be the collateral damage that results from this plan.

Well said. I love the USA, I have relatives who live there and in all the years of a beautiful relationship with the people of America I have never seen this situation. Mr. Trump you seem to want to conquer and divide relationships at any cost, even with people who care about you. You sabotage yourself and those who are loyal to you. I'm not sure if you understand the implications of your decisions. But I will say respectfully, there are no winners in a trade war, nor is it you that has the final say on the worlds outcome. This is God's world not yours and not ours. I'm really disappointed to see American people and Canadians hurting because of whatever the point of all of this means. But Canada is strong and we will stand up for our country. The American people are strong and they were strong before you became the President. Working together, we can take care of each other for our families and our country.

Hey Canada/Trudeau if you don’t want the tariffs from President Trump then remove your limiting factors on American goods to equal the playing field! Maybe these tariffs and our President may finally get you to allow into Canada as much as we do into the USA! Trying to play a game of tariff against President Trump will not do Canadians any good. I'm fine with Canada and the UK going bankrupt if they bring it on themselves. I hope Europe can shake off the EU parasites controlling it before they are destroyed. Canada has known for decades that we have put too many eggs in one basket - selling our resources primarily to the USA. We've had tariffs before and worked with them. Yet we still keep selling to the USA. This time is different. In conjunction with the tariffs, we have an American administration that is flat out insulting Canada. Saying we wouldn't exist economically if it wasn't for the USA. It's at a time when the USA won't promise not to use military force to annex land (Greenland) from a decades old ally. A time when clearly Putin is calling in his chips for whatever he has over Donald Trump. Canadians have had enough. We are directing our governments, provincial and federal, to finally, finally break from the north-south trade links. We need to establish stronger east-west trade links. The resources we have are wanted by many countries if the USA does not want them. It does mean much work within Canada. We need to get our AB-BC pipeline finished as well as the new sea terminal so we can ship our crude oil and natural gas to Japan and if need be, to China. We finally need to get out pipeline to the Atlantic coast finished so we can supply the UK and EU with our products. We need to double our rail capacity for shipping potash, uranium, rare minerals to Asia or Europe. Just as Trump hopes for a golden age of American companies coming home and building new plants in the USA, this will be a golden decade for Canada to create transportation corridors to get our resources to other buyers. America will have to look elsewhere for his raw materials. And we all know what that is - RUSSIA. They've already offered their rare minerals and crude oil. This is all clearly a well thought out scenario from the people working behind Trump to dismiss America's allies and trading partners - have us turn against the USA - as the excuse to open the door to Russian imports into the USA.

Maybe there will be a new wall between Canada and USA, which Canada will pay to make new regime in US great again, and finally US with this wall around them, will be a free again... Alone. Sad story.
