I’m a little late to this video but have a lot to say. As a Canadian of Indian descent, I have always avoided Brampton. There is a stark difference between Indians from Brampton and those of us that are from other cities. This situation is out of control mainly due to JT but also colleges that have setup feeder international schools that cater just to Indian students. I’d imagine Chinese students have something similar to this as well, they’re just more quiet. \n\nA lot of the comments come off as offensive but it is what it is, There are too many of my ethnic people here and they’re not assimilating let alone intending to do so. Chain migration is another problem as it brings in an older generation that has no desire to learn English. Singapore Airlines is an absolute treat to fly on. I gather in a microcosm, it is interesting to compare Air Canada and Singapore airline or all Nippon airways, with Air Canada. Air Canada is very expensive for a one or two hour flight, not so in Southeast Asia. Air Canada service is horrible, intimidating, and nasty. Singapore airlines and all Nippon airways, is exactly the opposite. Air Canada makes it very difficult for you too make claims on cancelled flights, broken luggage, and breaches of contract. The taxes on a ticket with Canada is horrendous, both indirect and direct taxes, in Singapore and all Nippon airways, much more reasonable. I'm a canadian in my late 20s and now I can't even afford a home. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against all the people that have came here, but there has been too many in too short of a time period. The government should've propped up the infrastructure to accommodate these immigrants before initiating this plan of overimmigration. Sure you are giving us a first time home buyer credit and only allowing individuals with a PR to purchase a home, but there is still an underlying issue of how born and raised citizens are now struggling. I cannot imagine how much worse it is for those who are coming here for an education. Not to include the lack of jobs, it is a tough job market out there as well, I may have to move to the US to have a professional career, which is not ideal because I want to stay in Canada.

If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. If Canada have back door for international students, they should have resources for homeless-especially single homeless-to afford the rent or own apartment. So brutal. I have a 15 year old looking for her first job and all her friends ate too. Guess what.....all those jobs we used to get as we entered the workforce are gone. Every single DQ A&W grocery store McDs etc jobs go to foreigners. So where will all the high school kids work? They are becoming despondent and depressed. It's really sad. Housing crisis is the elephant in the room, it has been around for quite a while. Remember one decade ago in Vancouver #donthaveonrmillion? Its worse now. International students became easy solution/target for politicians to blame because they cannot vote. They were considered as solution of labour shortage back during Covid then there was a labour shortage. Sean Fraser the minister of immigration back then made it super easy for international students to stay in Canada permanently. When he takes the office of Minister of Housing, he starts to point fingers to those students. Who let them into this country in the first place? We need more roads more houses. IRCC needs to work faster to get more skilled workers doctors into the country. Putting a cap on current immigration level is not a good idea.

It's 100% true. International students are being exploited for tuition money and GIC money. Students have taken huge loans from their home country expecting that they will be able to get jobs and pay off their debt but since last 1 year students are jobless. We are failing to get menial labor jobs. Inflation and rent are sky high and our GIC money is not enough to survive here. I myself sleep hungry sometimes as I don't have enough money to buy food after paying rent. I think if they can't give us jobs and affordable housing, canada should stop calling itself a developed first world country. We should call out the whole system for keeping international students in inhumane conditions.

I totally agree that this country will break your spine and test your ultimate willpower. Me and my wife came here 5 years back and we decided that we will shut ourselves like a tortoise. Forget about savings and forget about everything else. Only and only one goal we had in mind is that we will live in the basement and earn top dollars. Just to give you a perspective. My first pay was 19 dollar per hour and my current pay is 87 per hour. My wife started with 16.5 per hour and now earning 69 per hour. well Canada is a soft immigration target that gives illegal/legal migrants everything away for free for as long as it takes...years. meanwhile Canadians are homeless.. Case in point, here in Kingston, the HoJo motel was purchased by the feds and houses migrants with security (3 persons per shift} 24/7/365, a fully functioning kitchen, housekeeping, tradesmen to repairs caused by the migrants, free food, clothing, bus passes, supports for healthcare, child care. I want to give a different perspective. I'm from Singapore. My entire family was here and they have moved back. My sister moved back first because my British brother in law could not take the cold. My brother moved back because he wanted to make money and be rich. My parents moved back to be close to their grandkids. But no way will I move back. Constant heat strokes from the weather, materialistic and shallow people, preference given to married people and families, lack of hinterland and nature, lack of winter sports, and poor LGBTQ+ rights. I have not lived in Singapore since I was 18 and I am also childfree, with no intention of raising a family, only travel locally, and am not into the acquisition of commercial goods for gratification. I love going on roadtrips and skiing every winter and playing hockey year round. I like that I can marry who I love here and can acquire a home without needing to be married. I understand how people who want to make money and raise families would see the brighter side of other countries, but Canada, despite its flaws, is my brighter side.

First generation immigrants have always worked in labour jobs to get started. We are proud of our parents who sacrificed their careers for us. Taxation is about collective living. Anyone who crosses the border illegally for any amount of time be it five minutes or 5 years , it’s a life time ban from ever entering this country again . They have to pass a law like this and have include the ones already here , if you get caught you are deported and never allowed to enter the country legally again period never again. I would have the president give a speech encouraging all illegal immigrates that from this moment until 30 days from now you will have to go back to your home country, if you can’t afford it we will put you on a flight to the airport of our choice in your homeland.So for the next 30 days you will not be stopped or detained if you are leaving the country but anyone who’s still here after that deadline and caught there’s no immigration court with free lawyers you are gone with a life time ban . If you want to come legally than all the regular procedures are still in place . First find a sponsor, than get a visa so you can go to the immigration office and get a background check , if you don’t qualify than too bad it’s not our fault you don’t meet our requirements to be eligible to become a U.S. citizen. If you pass the background check and can prove you can support yourself and have a place to live then you get a green card and you get in line while you are in this country and wait your turn to become a U.S. citizen .

Well hell, if they can just illegally come over here and the government assist them, can't y'all give me my driver's license back after 12 years. All fines paid, all court and classes complete, but a state that I don't live in want me to get ignition interlock for 1 year? But illegal people everywhere. Take care home first

Blessed you are with such a vast landmass, nature etc etc. I am from the Netherlands and I do have a special place in my hearth for Canada. My granny did travel to you in the past and so will I do, Canada is absolute on my bucketlist! We Dutch will never forget what you did for our country during the Second World War, without you .....well, cannot keep my eyes dry.
