As a Canadian citizen (born and raised) those migrants from New York should move overseas (AKA our nextdoor overseas neighbour UK/EU). Canada is dealing with crisis right now (not only caused by not only both our Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau and our Canadian Premier Doug Ford but also the Russian President that started the war that screwed up Canadian gas prices). \n\nWhat Americans hear about Canada is a split 50/50. Yeah Canada has free health care. But when you reach 25+ you have to pay your own.. unless you have insurance. Also in the province where I live tax percentage here is DANG 13%. It's DANG expensive because Canadian dollar is not as strong as the big 4 (USD/UK Pounds/Europe Euros/Japan Yen). The only province that pays little-to-none taxes is the province of Alberta Canada.\n\nAll-in-all I advise migrants that live in US: DO NOT live in Canada because Canada is a sh*t country. And you'll be screwed by both the Trudeau and Doug Ford Government.

Excessive population growth and density is always the cause of poverty. Justin has skyrocketed immigration. Productive immigrants canadians move on to the US leaving Canada with chronic doctor and housing shortages. The remaining immigrants like the rest of the unproductive majority reduce productivity and standard of living. English was founded by people who thought the American Revolution was too risky. Hence the lack of telecom competition and restrictive loan practices of the big 5. As individualists we are almost as judgemental as Americans towards undisciplined clans- Russians, blacks, amer-indians,... Quebec is as different as two European peoples can be.

Come to the South. There is some racial segregation by neighborhoods (especially in the very rich and very poor), but there are tons of racially diverse neighborhoods. The most extreme examples of racial segregation are found in the North and the Coasts. Ask the average resident of Providence, RI how many black people they know or share a neighborhood with. I bet it's going to be on one hand and maybe even one digit. It doesn't surprise me that the races self-segregate up North, because that's how it's always been done. Even when the majority of immigrants were European, major American cities had Polish, Russian, German, Portuguese, and Italian neighborhoods. It's just easier to see now that we have a bunch of different skin colors represented.

I know Canada is not perfect and I find you’re a bit hard on the red maple leaf... just because you don’t find the same things as your native country. It’s like\nfrench people coming from France, going to Quebec province an complaining about the food, the weather etc... well we’re not France, sorry to say! But I can\ntry to understand your situation; it’s probably inevitable that the comparison between your country and Canada would show up eventually. I see regularly \nimmigrants moving here and it’s true that it’s not easy. (Some people will have to be cab drivers because they can’t find work in their field). But you have\nopportunities if you work hard. I have the example of a Russian truck driver who move here with his family (wife, two kids). The man started by working for\na general transport company, then was able to buy his own truck. Now he’s able to work with whoever he wants. So I think every experience is different.\nOne other thing I noticed is that for families coming here it will always be easier for kids (even teens) to adapt quicker then their parents. I live in the east\n(the maritimes) and there is not very large cities. Some immigrants that come here will stay for a while but then they would move to a larger city (like\nToronto) because that city must have the most ethnic diversity in Canada. For cultural differences true that Canadians are like Americans in the «none»\nfashion trending. It’s a different mentality then Europe because over there fashion is a statement; you are judge on your appearance. Here, not as much.\nIt shows you don’t like winter and if you don’t your not a real Canadian! :-) Don’t generalize, a lot of people here like winter. And for taxes I don’t have a clear\nexplanation other then we have a huge empty country that needs roads, infrastructures, etc. and someone has to pay for it! (fun fact, all the population\nof Canada could fit in a country like Poland... it shows how empty it is here). Finally, and I heard this many times, maybe the people or the part of the\ngovernment to blame is Immigration Canada. Maybe they give to much of an idealistic image of Canada! In Canada there will be low key racism and I have been called the world n- word many times in Toronto but only by Latino Americans, twice by a Mexican in my school, once by Peru guy then by a russian and a vietnamese. But never by a Canadian. In Toronto you will likely face more racism because it's multi cultural than any other city. But you will face racism by people who are non Canadian but more from other countries that have not accepted different races.

Can you show the professor to Belgium please. I prefer a Canadian over an American or a German because our racism exceeds all borders. On a daily basis I experience black racism on an unheard scale. People come to me and explain they feel totally excluded from our society even when they contribute to it by (mostly manual) hard labor and social or political engagement. Maybe a Canadian profile could get some acceptance in Belgium. Same thing goes for Hindi, Asian and Muslim people. I cannot contribute more than launching a very urgent and serious appeal because I am not qualified in my society. Thank you very much to clean up our mess. I heard we have a caucasian Russian in the Euro Parliament but I did not check that.
