Go back and listen to Trump on tariffs. If a country is fair with America, America will be fair with them. Americans do not realize how many tariffs we pay as a country. I served alongside Canadian military when I served in the US military. They were very tough, honorable, and outstanding professionals. I have friends and family from Canada, and they love America. This trade war is so sad and so devastating for so many Americans and Canadians. These tariffs are so stupid, it's beyond reason. Trump is treating America's best friends and allies like enemies! This is not only dishonorable behavior by a US president, it is despicable!

In a best case scenario, DJT will rescind the tariffs on Canadian goods. In the worst case, we get even poorer. If this happened after Trump became president the first time, the economy was strong from 4 years of Obama's presidency. Then COVID happened, and for alot of folks here, they haven't recovered financially. Savings and retirement plans are gone. Rent is higher, for many it takes over 50% of their income. So in this emergency time, there's nothing to fall back on. Oh and DOGE will cut SNAP benefits, I'm sure. That's food stamps, meant for the people struggling. It's becoming more and more of Americans. \nAm I depressed? No, I lived through Reagan's presidency. I'm cautious about life, my job, commuting to work, putting food on the table. I'm gonna try growing veggies. I already eat 75% of my meals at home or taken from home-cooked meals. I'm saving as best I can.

This must be baffling to many Americans hearing an articulate, well-spoken, and intelligent leader. I am so sorry Canada, truly. I'm embarrassed that our president would do this. It's shameful. Please know that even though the majority of votes put Trump into office, it wasn't a landslide. Something like 40% of us did NOT vote him in. Therefore, there are many, many Americans who did not want him, do not want his politics and are seriously sorry for his actions.

Our country is getting closer to isolationism, and it isn't good if we want inflation and prices to go down.
