It seems like every Liberal Left government worldwide is determined to change and destroy the greatest cities on earth. You have to ask yourself why would they knowingly do this. There is definitely an agenda for this and to most if not all the citizens of these cities they have become complacent and accepting and saying oh well that must be progress. No, it’s not. We all like to push this narrative about how wonderful multiculturism is, but is it actually a good thing, or are we simply saying this cos we want to sound very open minded and inclusive? \n\nCountries need to retain their own identity. So if we want to move abroad, we should be willing to integrate in to their society (even if we do have some different beliefs from them in other ways). Moving to another country, not integrating and just hanging out with people from your own country isn't really good for anyone. We just create divides within that society and thus become more detached and distant from one another. \n\nAlso, living in high rise buildings seems quite dehumanizing to me. Sure, it must be cool to have a good view, but that's not how humans should live and exist- stacking thousands of people on top of one another.

Canada is a country that is built on middle class where a large part of the population are within the same earning range. There are positives to this, less crime, there is not a huge disparity between rich and poor which makes for a more sane environment don’t get me wrong, we still have our crime rate. Now you can see that the professional programs are limited compared to other countries in the universities and highly competitive so that you don’t have so many professionals with high earning power thereby creating a huge disparity. On the other hand, these high earners don’t get a tax return, get any govt cheque, their kids don’t get huge amounts for OSAP instead, they get billed to pay back the govt and that’s how those of you complaining now where able to get govt cheques when you just relocated, support low income homes and newly landed immigrants. There’s free health, good Ammenities, snow is cleared, the roads are salted and de iced, free Education, govt loans and school loans that’s where your tax money goes to. Everyone has an accent that’s your identity why will you feel somehow or intimidated when you are told you have an accent that’s being timid say yes I have an accent it’s African or Caribbean etc. About racism it’s rare never experienced it that’s not saying it doesn’t happen but am gonna call you out if it’s obvious I have been profiled. Yes the weather is harsh did you not look at your map before relocating ?? In all most of these complaints are individual experiences so I won’t invalidate it but don’t trash what you gained from. Retraining and certification is a must especially when you are coming from a certain country and it’s not a bad idea. Am in healthcare and retraining is a must if you didn’t school here cos it’s entirely different talk about work ethics, equipments, software, differentiation in policies, health laws and malpractice laws.\nLook at the brighter side of life and stop complaining migration has its pros and cons position yourself in a place to have a good life, go back to school, get certified, keep retraining and adding value to your certificate.

Very very wise choice I must say... The few reasons I can agree with. For me the most disgusting reason is high income tax except montreal. Currently looking forward to make the migration to turkiye or russia. friendly neighborhood to raise families, cutting edge amenities, stable economy and low tax. People have to stop using rental prices in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. That's like Americans using rental costs in Bel-Air California or Manhattan as an example of what rent costs in America. It's not a realistic portrayal of rental costs. \nHere in Quebec the the annual tax rate is between 26.53% and 53.31%, depending on income. Then you have to consider all the socialist programs that you are forced to pay into, which also sucks up a significant amount on your weekly salary. After that, you must consider that you pay 15% sales tax on almost everything. It's safe to say that half of your yearly earnings, give or take, are taken in taxes and socialized programs. As for salaries, less than 20% of the Canadian population make a 6 figure salary. We're not talking about household income. I am talking about individual income. You're not going to become rich here in Canada! The majority of people who do become rich leave Canada to avoid taxation. Canadians live a life of debt. You will live just balancing your debt to make sure it doesn't get out of control Few Canadians have money in savings without debt. The ones who do have money saved, most of them have debts on top of their savings which is counterproductive in my opinion.

We're trying to survive on this side too. People are losing their jobs, not getting paid enough as everything gets more expensive and don't even get me started on the stupid amount in rent. I understand that they need help or their government sucks but guess what, we need help too and Joe Biden is our president?. Must I say more.

Canada is best place to live, I am also Muslim AH, never face any sort of discrimination. i moved from Dubai, and the place where i live i can see more hijabi womens than Dubai. I am a Toronto Native, a nurse that used to work in Critical Care at Sunnybrook, but moved to Dubai as my husband received a job offer. That was more than 10yrs ago. I must say that every time I visit home, things are definitely worse. I notice that ppl are very negative and also rude. It's quite startling. I also see how much the demographics have changed as well. The city is also dirtier and not as pretty. I can say that if I ever returned, I would consider Vancouver, somewhere outside of the city, or on the island, but for now, I can say that I will never return to live in Toronto., We will go someplace else like Mexico where it's close enough for family to visit and it's close to home. Btw, Toronto is NOT the most diverse city in the world, it's Dubai, and UAE as a whole, where 85% of the population is born outside of the country.

I lived in Brampton for six years, if you really want to eat a great non-veg then only try going to a Pakistani Restaurant (restraun)....... you must know one thing for sure that any non-veg (Goshtt) bought by any Indian Restaurant is always always Grade-3, the lowest grade and of course the Cheapest.\nIn Pakistani Restaurants in North America (I'm saying anywhere in North America) the Goshtt is always Grade-1 (the best)..... not many people know this...... I'm only educating you......same goes with South Asian restaurants in the UK, Australia, NZ, South Africa et al.

I moved from small town British Columbia to Houston Texas about 32 years ago. Was very lucky to be able to live in several different states in those 32 years. In the beginning of 2023 I moved back up to Canada (temporarily) and I cannot wait to get back to United States. \n\nAlthough I love Canada, because it is my homeland, it is simply not anything close to what the United States is. While, both countries have their warts, the United States is, and always will be, simply better in measurable every way.\n\nWhen I hear somebody talk about the free healthcare in Canada, I remind them that there are no doctors available. I remind them how high their taxes are and how long of a wait there is to get any sort of operation. Yes, it’s more expensive than the United States, but for my dollar the care is better and I can get it quicker.\n\nDon’t even get me started about the economy up here, it’s ridiculous.\n\nCanadians are polite? I drive a car with US plates and I’ve been told to go back to where I came from more times than I can count. You might say I must be a jerk to have that got a response but I assure you. I’m like anyone else I have my moments, but overall I’m a pretty chill person.\n\nCan’t wait to get back.

Lynn, this Canada thing is a common sense thing. Same reason a Tanzanian will not come to kenya to sell tomatoes on the streets due to high competition on the field. Any country you move to it depends on what you will go to do and who will help you get on your feet. Canada is extremely beautiful and one can prosper extremely well financially compared to kenya BY FAR! But you can’t come from the village and land in Toronto and wait for a job and opportunity to come get you from the airport! Am very honest.
